Psalms 111

1 Hallelujah. I will thank the Lord with all [my] heart, in the council of the upright, and in the congregation.

Алілуя! Я Господа славити буду всім серцем на раді справедливих і в зібранні.

2 Great are the works of the Lord, they are sought for [by them] in all their desires.

Діяння Господа величні, бажані для всіх, хто вподобав їх.

3 Glorious and majestic is his doing, and his righteousness endureth for ever.

Слава й велич – діяння Його, і правда Його перебуватиме повіки.

4 He hath made a memorial for his wonderful works: gracious and merciful is the Lord.

Пам’ятними зробив Він чудеса Свої; милостивий і милосердний Господь.

5 He hath given sustenance unto those that fear him: he will for ever be mindful of his covenant.

Їжу дає Він тим, хто боїться Його, пам’ятає вічно Завіт Свій.

6 The power of his works hath he told unto his people, that he might give them the heritage of nations.

Силу діянь Своїх з’явив Він народові Своєму, віддавши їм спадщину народів.

7 The works of his hands are truth and justice: faultless are all his precepts.

Діяння рук Його – істина й справедливість, усі настанови Його варті довіри.

8 They are well supported for ever and eternally: they are framed in truth and uprightness.

Вони утверджені на віки вічні, засновані на істині й справедливості.

9 Redemption hath he sent unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and to be feared is his name.

Він послав визволення Своєму народові, уклав навіки Свій Завіт. Святе й грізне ім’я Його.

10 The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord; a good understanding have all that fulfill [his commandments]: his praise endureth for ever.

Початок мудрості – страх Господній. Добре розуміння мають усі, хто виконує Його настанови. Хвала Йому перебуватиме повіки!
