Psalms 108

1 “A song or psalm of David.” My heart is firm, O God; I will sing and give praise, even with my spirit.

١ تَسْبِيحَةٌ. مَزْمُورٌ لِدَاوُدَ إِنَّ قَلْبِي ثَابِتٌ يَا اللهُ. أُرَنِّمُ وَأَشْدُو لَكَ. فَهَيَّا اسْتَيْقِظِي يَا نَفْسِي.

2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I will wake up the morning-dawn.

٢ اسْتَيْقِظِي أَيَّتُهَا الرَّبَابُ وَالْعُودُ. أَنَا أَسْتَيْقِظُ قُبَيْلَ الْفَجْرِ.

3 I will give thee thanks among the people, O Lord: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

٣ أَحْمَدُكَ بَيْنَ الشُّعُوبِ يَا رَبُّ وَأَشْدُو لَكَ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ.

4 For great above the heavens is thy kindness, and thy truth reacheth even unto the skies.

٤ فَإِنَّ رَحْمَتَكَ قَدْ عَظُمَتْ فَوْقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَحَقَّكَ بَلَغَ الْغُيُومَ.

5 Exalt thyself above the heavens, O God; and above all the earth thy glory.

٥ ارْتَفِعْ يَا اللهُ فَوْقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ، وَلْيَتَسَامَ مَجْدُكَ فَوْقَ الأَرْضِ كُلِّهَا.

6 In order that thy beloved may be delivered: help with thy right hand, and answer me.

٦ اسْتَجِبْ لِي وَخَلِّصْ بِيَمِينِكَ الْمُقْتَدِرَةِ كَي يَنْجُوَ أَحِبَّاؤُكَ.

7 God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult, I will divide Shechem, and the valley of Succoth will I measure out.

٧ قَدْ تَكَلَّمَ اللهُ فِي قَدَاسَتِهِ، لِذَلِكَ أَبْتَهِجُ وَأَقْسِمُ أَرْضَ شَكِيمَ وَأَقِيسُ وَادِي سُكُّوتَ،

8 Mine id Gil'ad, and mine is Menasseh; Ephraim also is the strong-hold of my head; of Judah are my chiefs.

٨ لِي جِلْعَادُ، وَلِي مَنَسَّى؛ أَفْرَايِمُ خُوذَةُ رَأْسِي، وَيَهُوذَا صَوْلَجَانِي.

9 Moab is my washpot; upon Edom will I cast my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.

٩ مُوآبُ مِرْحَضَتِي، وَعَلَى أَدُومَ أُلْقِي حِذَائِي، وعَلَى فَلَسْطِينَ أَهْتِفُ مُنْتَصِراً.

10 Who will bring me into the fortified city? who will lead me as far as Edom?

١٠ مَنْ يَقُودُنِي لِمُحَارَبَةِ الْمَدِينَةِ الْمُحَصَّنَةِ؟ مَنْ يَهْدِينِي إِلَى أَدُومَ؟

11 Behold, it is thou, O God, who hast cast us off; and thou, O God, goest not forth with our armies.

١١ أَلَيْسَ أَنْتَ يَا اللهُ الَّذِي أَقْصَيْتَنَا وَلَمْ تَعُدْ تَخْرُجُ مَعَ جُيُوشِنَا؟

12 Give us help against the assailant; for vain is the help of man.

١٢ هَبْ لَنَا عَوْناً فِي الضِّيقِ، فَعَبَثٌ هُوَ خَلاصُ الإِنْسَانِ.

13 Through God shall we do valiantly; for he it is that will tread down our adversaries.

١٣ لَكِنْ بِعَوْنِ اللهِ نُحَارِبُ بِبَأْسٍ، وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَدُوسُ أَعْدَاءَنَا.
