Psalms 103
1 “Of David.” Bless, O my soul, the Lord, and all that is within me, his holy name.
Blagoslavljaj Gospoda, oh moja duša, in vse, kar je znotraj mene, blagoslavljaj njegovo sveto ime.
2 Bless, O my soul, the Lord, and forget not all his benefits:
Blagoslavljaj Gospoda, oh moja duša in ne pozabi vseh dejanj njega,
3 Who forgiveth all thy iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
ki odpušča vse tvoje krivičnosti, ki ozdravlja vse tvoje bolezni,
4 Who redeemeth from the pit thy life; who crowneth thee with kindness and mercies;
ki odkupuje tvoje življenje pred uničenjem, ki te krona z ljubečo skrbnostjo in nežnimi usmiljenji,
5 Who satisfieth with happiness thy spirit, so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's [plumage].
ki tvoja usta nasičuje z dobrimi stvarmi, tako da se tvoja mladost obnavlja kakor orlova.
6 The Lord executeth righteousness, and justice for all that are oppressed.
Gospod izvršuje pravičnost in sodbo za vse, ki so zatirani.
7 He made known his ways unto Moses, unto the children of Israel his acts.
Svoje poti je dal spoznati Mojzesu, svoja dela Izraelovim otrokom.
8 Merciful and gracious is the Lord, long-suffering and abundant in kindness.
Gospod je usmiljen in milostljiv, počasen za jezo in obilen v usmiljenju.
9 Not for all eternity will he contend; nor will he for ever retain his anger.
Ne bo se vedno pričkal niti svoje jeze ne bo držal na veke.
10 Not in accordance with our sins hath he dealt with us; nor according to our iniquities hath he requited us.
Z nami ni ravnal po naših grehih niti nas ni nagrajeval glede na naše krivičnosti.
11 For as high as heaven is above the earth, so mighty is his kindness toward those that fear him.
Kajti kakor je nebo visoko nad zemljo, tako veliko je njegovo usmiljenje do tistih, ki se ga bojijo.
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed from us our transgressions.
Kolikor daleč je vzhod od zahoda, tako daleč odstranja naše prestopke od nas.
13 As a father hath mercy on his children, so hath the Lord mercy on those that fear him.
Kakor se oče usmili svojih otrok, tako se Gospod usmili teh, ki se ga bojijo.
14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
Kajti pozna naš sestav; spominja se, da smo prah.
15 As for man, like the grass are his days: as the blossom of the field, so doth he bloom.
Glede človeka, so njegovi dnevi kakor trava; kakor cvetica polja, tako cveti.
16 When a wind but passeth over it, it is gone, and its place will recognize it no more.
Kajti čeznjo gre veter in izgine in njen kraj je ne bo več poznal.
17 But the kindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting over those that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children,
Toda Gospodovo usmiljenje je od večnosti do večnosti na tistih, ki se ga bojijo in njegova pravičnost do otrok otrok,
18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those who remember his precepts to execute them.

19 The Lord hath established in the heavens his throne; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, mighty in strength, that execute his word, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

21 Bless ye the Lord, all his hosts, ye his ministers, that execute his will.

22 Bless the Lord, all his works, in all the places of his dominion; bless, O my soul, the Lord.
