Psalms 103
1 “Of David.” Bless, O my soul, the Lord, and all that is within me, his holy name.
ElikaDavida. Dumisa uThixo, Oh mphefumulo wami; konke okuphakathi kwami, kakudumise ibizo lakhe elingcwele.
2 Bless, O my soul, the Lord, and forget not all his benefits:
Dumisa uThixo, Oh mphefumulo wami, ungaze wakhohlwa konke okuhle okuthola kuye
3 Who forgiveth all thy iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
othethelelayo zonke izono zakho akusilise kuzozonke izifo zakho,
4 Who redeemeth from the pit thy life; who crowneth thee with kindness and mercies;
ohlenga impilo yakho egodini akwethese uthando lesihawu,
5 Who satisfieth with happiness thy spirit, so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's [plumage].
osuthisa izifiso zakho ngezinto ezinhle ukuze ubutsha bakho buvuselelwe njengengqungqulu.
6 The Lord executeth righteousness, and justice for all that are oppressed.
UThixo ubenzela ukulunga lokwahlulela okuhle labo abancindezelweyo.
7 He made known his ways unto Moses, unto the children of Israel his acts.
Izindlela zakhe wazazisa uMosi, izenzo zakhe wazazisa abantu bako-Israyeli;
8 Merciful and gracious is the Lord, long-suffering and abundant in kindness.
uThixo ulesihawu njalo ulomusa, uyaphuza ukuthukuthela, kodwa uyanda ngothando.
9 Not for all eternity will he contend; nor will he for ever retain his anger.
Kahlali ebeka imilandu futhi kagcini ulaka lwakhe kokuphela;
10 Not in accordance with our sins hath he dealt with us; nor according to our iniquities hath he requited us.
kasiphathi ngokufanele izono zethu kumbe asijezise ngokulingene iziphambeko zethu.
11 For as high as heaven is above the earth, so mighty is his kindness toward those that fear him.
Ngoba njengokuphakama komkhathi ngaphezu komhlaba, lukhulu kangako uthando lwakhe kulabo abamesabayo;
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed from us our transgressions.
njengobukhatshana bempumalanga kuyo intshonalanga kanjalo ususile iziphambeko zethu kithi.
13 As a father hath mercy on his children, so hath the Lord mercy on those that fear him.
Ngendlela ubaba elozwelo ebantwaneni bakhe, kanjalo uThixo ulozwelo kulabo abamesabayo;
14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
ngoba uyakwazi ukuthi sibunjwe njani, uyakhumbula ukuthi siluthuli.
15 As for man, like the grass are his days: as the blossom of the field, so doth he bloom.
Umuntu yena insuku zakhe zinjengotshani, ukhula amemetheke njengembali yeganga;
16 When a wind but passeth over it, it is gone, and its place will recognize it no more.
umoya uyayiphephetha ihle inyamalale, indawo yakhe ingabe isayikhumbula lanini.
17 But the kindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting over those that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children,
Kodwa kusukela phakade kusiya phakade uthando lukaThixo lukulabo abamesabayo, lokulunga Kwakhe ebantwaneni babantwana
18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those who remember his precepts to execute them.
kulabo abagcina isivumelwano Sakhe njalo bakhumbule ukulalela izimiso zakhe.
19 The Lord hath established in the heavens his throne; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
UThixo usemisile isihlalo sakhe sobukhosi ezulwini, njalo ubukhosi bakhe buphezu kwakho konke.
20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, mighty in strength, that execute his word, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
Dumisani uThixo, lina zingilosi, lina zinceku zakhe elenza intando yakhe, elilalela ilizwi lakhe.
21 Bless ye the Lord, all his hosts, ye his ministers, that execute his will.
Dumisani uThixo, lonke mabutho akhe asezulwini, lina zinceku zakhe elenza intando yakhe.
22 Bless the Lord, all his works, in all the places of his dominion; bless, O my soul, the Lord.
Dumisani uThixo, imisebenzi yakhe yonke ezindaweni zonke embusweni wakhe. Dumisa uThixo, Oh mphefumulo wami.
