Psalms 103
1 “Of David.” Bless, O my soul, the Lord, and all that is within me, his holy name.
Davidův. Dobrořeč duše má Hospodinu, a všecky vnitřnosti mé jménu svatému jeho.
2 Bless, O my soul, the Lord, and forget not all his benefits:
Dobrořeč duše má Hospodinu, a nezapomínej se na všecka dobrodiní jeho,
3 Who forgiveth all thy iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Kterýž odpouští tobě všecky nepravosti, kterýž uzdravuje všecky nemoci tvé,
4 Who redeemeth from the pit thy life; who crowneth thee with kindness and mercies;
Kterýž vysvobozuje od zahynutí život tvůj, kterýž tě korunuje milosrdenstvím a mnohým slitováním,
5 Who satisfieth with happiness thy spirit, so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's [plumage].
Kterýž nasycuje dobrými věcmi ústa tvá, tak že se obnovuje jako orlice mladost tvá.
6 The Lord executeth righteousness, and justice for all that are oppressed.
Èiní, což spravedlivého jest, Hospodin, a soudy všechněm utištěným.
7 He made known his ways unto Moses, unto the children of Israel his acts.
Známé učinil Mojžíšovi cesty své, synům Izraelským skutky své.
8 Merciful and gracious is the Lord, long-suffering and abundant in kindness.
Lítostivý a milostivý jest Hospodin, dlouhoshovívající a mnohého milosrdenství.
9 Not for all eternity will he contend; nor will he for ever retain his anger.
Nebudeť ustavičně žehrati, ani na věky hněvu držeti.
10 Not in accordance with our sins hath he dealt with us; nor according to our iniquities hath he requited us.
Ne podlé hříchů našich nakládá s námi, ani vedlé nepravostí našich odplacuje nám.
11 For as high as heaven is above the earth, so mighty is his kindness toward those that fear him.
Nebo jakož jsou vysoko nebesa nad zemí, tak jest vyvýšené milosrdenství jeho nad těmi, kteříž se ho bojí.
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed from us our transgressions.
A jak daleko jest východ od západu, tak daleko vzdálil od nás přestoupení naše.
13 As a father hath mercy on his children, so hath the Lord mercy on those that fear him.
Jakož se slitovává otec nad dítkami, tak se slitovává Hospodin nad těmi, kteříž se hobojí.
14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
Onť zajisté zná slepení naše, v paměti má, že prach jsme.
15 As for man, like the grass are his days: as the blossom of the field, so doth he bloom.
Dnové člověka jsou jako tráva, a jako květ polní, tak kvete.
16 When a wind but passeth over it, it is gone, and its place will recognize it no more.
Jakž vítr na něj povane, anť ho není, aniž ho již více pozná místo jeho.
17 But the kindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting over those that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children,
Milosrdenství pak Hospodinovo od věků až na věky nad těmi, kteříž se ho bojí, a spravedlnost jeho nad syny synů,
18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those who remember his precepts to execute them.
Kteříž ostříhají smlouvy jeho, a pamatují na přikázaní jeho, aby je činili.
19 The Lord hath established in the heavens his throne; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
Hospodin na nebesích utvrdil trůn svůj, a kralování jeho nade vším panuje.
20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, mighty in strength, that execute his word, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
Dobrořečte Hospodinu andělé jeho, kteříž jste mocní v síle, a činíte slovo jeho, poslušní jsouc hlasu slova jeho.
21 Bless ye the Lord, all his hosts, ye his ministers, that execute his will.
Dobrořečte Hospodinu všickni zástupové jeho, služebníci jeho, kteříž činíte vůli jeho.
22 Bless the Lord, all his works, in all the places of his dominion; bless, O my soul, the Lord.
Dobrořečte Hospodinu všickni skutkové jeho, na všech místech panování jeho. Dobrořeč duše má Hospodinu.
