Psalms 101

1 “By David, a psalm.” Of kindness and justice will I sing: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing praises.

दावीद की रचना. एक स्तोत्र. मेरे गीत का विषय है आपका करुणा-प्रेम तथा आपका न्याय; याहवेह, मैं आपका स्तवन करूंगा.

2 I will carefully regard the way of the perfect: oh when will thou come unto me? I will walk in the integrity of my heart in the midst of my house.

निष्कलंक जीवन मेरा लक्ष्य है, आप कब मेरे पास आएंगे? अपने आवास में मेरा आचरण निष्कलंक रहेगा.

3 I will not set before my eyes a godless thing; to commit a departure [from righteousness] do I hate; it shall not cleave to me.

मैं किसी भी अनुचित वस्तु की ओर दृष्टि न उठाऊंगा. मुझे घृणा है भ्रष्टाचारी पुरुषों के आचार-व्यवहार से; मैं उनसे कोई संबंध नहीं रखूंगा.

4 A perverse heart shall depart from me: evil will I not know.

कुटिल हृदय मुझसे दूर रहेगा; बुराई से मेरा कोई संबंध न होगा.

5 Whoso slandereth in secret his neighbor, him will I destroy: whoso hath proud eyes and a haughty heart, him will I not suffer.

जो कोई गुप्‍त में अपने पड़ोसी की निंदा करता है, मैं उसे नष्ट कर दूंगा; जिस किसी की आंखें अहंकार से चढ़ी हुई हैं तथा जिसका हृदय घमंडी है, वह मेरे लिए असह्य होगा.

6 My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may abide with me: he that walketh in the way of the perfect, he it is that shall serve me.

पृथ्वी पर मेरी दृष्टि उन्हीं पर रहेगी जो विश्वासयोग्य हैं, कि वे मेरे साथ निवास कर सकें; मेरा सेवक वही होगा, जिसका आचरण निष्कलंक है.

7 He that practiseth deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that speaketh falsehoods shall not succeed before my eyes.

किसी भी झूठों का निवास मेरे आवास में न होगा, कोई भी झूठ बोलने वाला, मेरी उपस्थिति में ठहर न सकेगा.

8 Every morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land, cutting off from the city of the Lord all the wrong-doers.

प्रति प्रभात मैं अपने राज्य के समस्त दुर्जनों को नष्ट करूंगा; याहवेह के नगर में से मैं हर एक दुष्ट को मिटा दूंगा.
