< Psalms 10 >

1 Wherefore, O Lord, standest thou afar off? hidest thyself in times of distress?
Akore te Ihe mijohañe añe, ry Iehovà? Ino ty ietaha’o an-tsan-kasotriañe?
2 In the pride of the wicked doth he hotly pursue the poor: they are seized through the plans that those have devised.
Am-pirengevohañe ty añoridaña’ o raty tserekeo o rarakeo; f’ie tsepahe’ o fikitroha’eo avao.
3 For the wicked boasteth of the longing of his soul, and the robber blesseth himself when he hath despised the Lord.
Sengè’ i tsivokatsey o fañirian-tro’eo, tata’e ty fatitiañe, naho inje’e t’Iehovà.
4 The wicked, according to the pride of his wrathfulness, [saith, ] He will not require, There is no God [in] all his plans.
Ty tsivokatse amy fitoeboran-tarehe’ey, tsy mitsoek’ aze; ty hoe avao ro fitsakorea’e: Tsy eo ze o Andrianañahare zao.
5 Prosperous are his ways at all times; far in the height [remain] thy punishments away from him: all his assailants—he puffeth at them.
Miraorao nainai’e o sata’eo; kanao mitiotiotse ambone, tsy am-pahaisaha’e eo o fizakà’oo, le fonga ibohaboha’e o malaiñ’ azeo.
6 He saith in his heart, I shall not be moved; I shall be for many generations, and without adversity.
Hoe ty aereñeren-tro’e: Tsy hasiotse iraho, ndra an-tsa an-tsa tsy ho ampoheke ka.
7 Of the false oaths is his mouth full, and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and wickedness.
Pea hateràñe naho katramo naho fisenge-hery i falie’ey; kilily naho haloloañe ty ambane’ i famele’ey.
8 He sitteth in the lurking-places of the villages; in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes search for the unfortunate.
Itoboha’e o fivoñonañe an-drovao amo fietahañeo hamonoa’e ty vantañe; jilojilovem-pihaino’e ty tsy amam-pañimba.
9 He lieth in wait in a secret place like a lion in his den; he lieth in wait to snatch up the poor: he snatcheth up the poor, as they draweth him into his net.
Ie mitingañe añetak’ ao hoe liona ami’ty fitsifira’e; mitampoñe hitsepake ty rarake, hiambotrak’ ami’ty mpisotry, hikozozota’e amy harato’ey.
10 He croucheth, he bendeth himself, and the unfortunate fall through his might.
Mibotreke re, mifinake; vaho mikorovok’ amy figorea’ey i pìtso-pañolotsey.
11 He saith in his heart, God hath forgotten; he hath hidden his face; he will never see it.
Hoe re an-troke ao: Fa nandikofan’ Añahare, fa naeta’e ty lahara’e; tsy ho vazoho’e ka.
12 Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up thy hand: forget not the afflicted.
Miongaha ry Iehovà; ry Andrianañahare, zonjò ty Fità’o; ko amoea’o o mpirekeo.
13 For what doth the wicked despise God? [why] doth he say in his heart, Thou wilt not require it?
Akore te ati’ o tsivokatseo t’i Andrianañahare, ie manao an-tro’e ao ty hoe: Tsy ipaia’e?
14 Thou hast seen it: for thou beholdest mischief and despiteful acts, to requite it with thy hand: unto thee the unfortunate committeth himself; unto the fatherless hast thou [ever] been a helper.
Toe vazoho’o; eka fa oni’o ty ampoheke naho ty embetse le ho valeam-pità’o, ihe ro iatoa’ ty tsy aman’imba; vaho mpañimba ty bode-rae.
15 Break thou the arm of the wicked; and of the bad man—thou wilt inquire for his wickedness [till] thou find none.
Pozaho ty sira’ o tsivokatseo naho i piaroteñey, karaofo ty haratia’e ie tsy nilefe tsikaraheñe.
16 The Lord is King for ever and ever: nations are perished out of his land.
Mpanjaka nainai’e t’Iehovà; fa mongotse an-tane’e eo o fifeheañeo.
17 The longing of the afflicted dost thou hear, O Lord! thou wilt strengthen their heart, thou wilt cause thy ear to listen:
Ry Iehovà, fa jinanji’o ty halali’ o tretram-poo; hafatraro ty arofo’ iareo atokilaño o ravembia’oo;
18 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that not farther more shall be arrogant the mortal from the earth.
Hañomea’o to o bode-raeo naho o forekekeñeo, tsy hampinevenevera’ ondaty an-tane atoio ka.
