< Proverbs 24 >

1 Be thou not envious of bad men, and do not long to be with them.
Wadela: i hamobe dunu amo mae mudale ba: ma! Amola amo dunu amo bisili mae dogolegema.
2 For their heart meditateth destruction, and of mischief do their lips speak.
Ilia asigi dawa: su ganodini da mosolamusa: fawane dawa: lala. Amola eso huluane ilia lafidili esega dunu eno amo se nabima: ne sia: daha.
3 Through wisdom is a house built; and through understanding is it firmly established;
Sosogo fi ilia hou noga: le dadawa: le fifilasu da igi bai magufu fa: i noga: i agoai gala.
4 And through knowledge are chambers filled with all manner of precious and pleasant wealth.
Diasu da amo da: iya gagui amo ea sesei huluane da fedege agoane, dawa: su noga: idafa amola liligi ida: iwane gala, amoga nabai gala.
5 A wise man is [always] in power; and a man of knowledge fortifieth [his] strength.
Noga: le dadawa: su hou da da: i hodo gasa hou baligisa.
6 For by wise counsel canst thou conduct thy war; and there is help in a multitude of counsellors.
Amasea, gegena masunusa: gala, hidadea iligelalu masa. Amola fada: i sia: noga: le ha: ini nabalu ahoasea, dilia da ha lai ilima osa: la heda: mu agoai ba: mu.
7 Wisdom is too high for a fool: in the gate can he not open his mouth.
Gagaoui dunu da dadawa: su sia: fada: ne hame dawa: Dawa: su dunu da fada: i sia: bagade sia: dasea, gagaoui dunu da amo sia: fidili mae sia: ne, ouiya: le esala.
8 Him that deviseth to do evil, men call a master of wicked devices.
Di da eso huluane wadela: i hou hamomusa: ilegesea, dunu eno ilia da di da mosolasu hamosu dunu amane dawa: mu.
9 The counsel of folly is sin; and an abomination to men is the scorner.
Gagaoui dunu da wadela: i ilegemusa: fawane dawa: lala. Dunu mogili da dunu eno ilima gasa fili higasu hou hamosa. Dunu huluane da amaiwane dunuma higasa.
10 If thou despond on the day of distress, thy strength is small.
Se nabasu bagade doaga: sea, di da gasa hame agoane hamosea, gogayeidafa dunu agoane ba: mu.
11 Deliver those that are taken unto death, and those that are moved away to the slaughter hold back.
Fofada: su dunu da wadela: i hame hamosu dunu amo giadofale medole legemusa: dawa: sea, defea, mae ha: aligima. Amo dunu hedolo gaga: ma.
12 If thou shouldst say, Behold, we know not this man: lo, he that weigheth hearts will truly regard it, and he that keepeth thy soul will surely know it; and he will give a recompense to man according to his doing.

13 Eat honey, my son, because it is good; and the fine honey, which is sweet to thy palate:

14 So obtain the knowledge of wisdom for thy soul: when thou hast found her, then shall there be a [happy] future, and thy hope shall not be cut off.
Amo defele, molole dawa: su sia: da dia da: i hodo amola asigi dawa: su obenasa. Di da molole dawa: su lasea, hahawane esalumu.
15 Lie not in wait, O wicked man! against the dwelling of the righteous; waste not his resting-place;
Wadela: le hamosu dunu da moloidafa dunu amo ea liligi amola ea diasu wamolamusa: ilegelala. Be di da agoane mae ilegema.
16 For though the righteous were to fall seven times, he will rise up again; but the wicked shall stumble into misfortune.
Moloidafa dunu da dafasea, e da hedolo bu sinidigisa. Be se nabasu da wadela: i hamosu dunu ilima doaga: sea, e da wadela: lesi dagoi ba: mu.
17 At the fall of thy enemy do not rejoice; and at his stumbling let not thy heart be glad:
Se nabasu bagade da dia ha lai dunuma doaga: sea, mae nodoma. E da dafasea, hahawane mae ba: ma.
18 Lest the Lord see it and it be displeasing in his eyes, and he turn away from him his wrath.
Dia ha lai dunu da se nababeba: le, di da nodosea, Hina Gode da amo hou higa: i hodosa. Amasea, e da dia ha lai ema se iasu hame ima: bela: ?
19 Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, neither be thou envious of the wicked;
Wadela: le hamosu dunu ilia hamobeba: le, mae da: i dioma. Amola, ilia wadela: i hou hamobeba: le, liligi bagade lasea, mae mudama.
20 For there will be no [happy] future for the bad man: the lamp of the wicked will be quenched.
Bai ilia da hame fifi ahoanumu. Fa: no misunu hahawane hou da ilima hame doaga: mu.
21 My son, fear the Lord and the king: with those that are desirous to change do not mingle thyself;
Nagofe! Hina Godema beda: ne nodoma. Amola osobo bagade hina bagade amoma nabasu hou hamoma. Nowa dunu da Hina Gode o hina bagade ilima odoga: sea, ilima mae gilisima.
22 For suddenly will their calamity arise; and who knoweth the ruin of both of them!
Agoane odoga: su dunu ilia da hedolodafa dafasu dawa: Gode amola osobo bagade hina bagade dunu da ilima se imunusa: dawa:
23 These things also are for the wise. To have respect of persons in judgment is not good.
Molole dawa: su dunu da amo eno sia: su sia: i. ‘Fofada: su dunu da dunu aduna elama fofa: da: sea, e da dunu afamagamu da defea hame.’
24 Him that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous, will the people denounce, him will nations hold accursed;
E da wadela: le hamosu dunu da moloidafa sia: sea, dunu huluane da e aligima: ne gagabumu amola e higamu.
25 But to those that punish delight shall be given, and upon them shall come the blessing of the good.
Be fofada: su dunu da wadela: le hamosu dunu ilima se iasea, e da hahawane ba: mu amola eno dunu da ema nodomu.
26 Men will kiss the lips of him that giveth a proper answer.
Nowa dunu da moloidafa adole iasea, amo da eno dunuma dogeleidafa hou agoai.
27 Prepare without thy work, and make it fit in the field for thyself: and afterward build thy house.
Dia diasu gaguli, fifi lamusa: dawa: sea, hidadea ifa abalegele, ha: i manu heda: sea, dia manu defele ba: sea, dia diasu gaguli, fifi laloma.
28 Be not without cause a witness against thy neighbor; for wouldst thou beguile with thy lips?
Dia da udigili eno dunuma mae fofada: ma. Amola bai hamedei hou amola ema ogogolewane mae fofada: ma.
29 Say not, As he hath done to me so will I do to him: I will recompense every man according to his doing.
Amola di amane mae sia: ma, “Na da e nama hamoi defele ema hamomu. Na da dabemu,” amane mae sia: ma.
30 By the field of a slothful man I once passed along, and by the vineyard of a man void of sense:
Na da hihi dabuli gagaoui dunu amo ea waini efe sagai amodili asi.
31 And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, nettles had covered its surface, and its stone-wall was broken down.
Amo ganodini, aya: gaga: nomei amola gisi heda: i bagade bai. Amola igiga gagoi amo da mugululi sa: i dagoi ba: i.
32 And when I had indeed beheld [this] I took it to my heart: I saw it, and received a warning.
Amo na da ba: lalu, amola na da bu dawa: i, amola amo ea bai dawa: i dagoi.
33 “A little [more] sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands in lying down;”
Bai di helefili golamu da defea. Dia lobo sogoba: digili fa: bihadi golama.
34 But then will thy poverty come like a rover; and thy wants as a man armed with a shield.
Be di da golai dialoba, wamolasu dunu da doagala: be defele, hame gagui hou da dima doaga: mu.
