< Proverbs 12 >

1 Whoso loveth correction loveth knowledge; but he that hateth reproof is brutish.

2 The good obtaineth favor of the Lord; but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

3 A man cannot be firmly established by wickedness; but the root of the righteous will not be moved.
Thlanghqing ve seet sainaak ing am cak sak nawh, thlakdyng ang dyih hyn taw cak kaw.
4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but as rottenness in his bones is one that bringeth shame [on him].
Khawsak ak leek nu taw a vaa ham boei lumykna awm nawh, chahnaak kawi theem ak saipyi taw a vaa quh ak haawn sak ni.
5 The thoughts of the righteous are justice: the best counsels of the wicked are deceit.
Thlakdyng ak khawpoeknaak taw leek nawh, thlakche ak khawpoeknaak taw thailatnaak ni.
6 The words of the wicked are of lying in wait for blood; but the mouth of the upright will deliver them.
Thlakche ak awi ing thlang thi ang lawng hly qeh nawh, thlakdyng ak awi ingtaw amah loet sak hy.
7 The wicked are suddenly overthrown, and are no more; but the house of the righteous will endure.
Khawsak amak leekkhqi taw khaawngna awm kawm saw qeeng kawm uh, thlakdyng a ipkhui taw ak cakna dyi poe kaw.
8 In accordance with his intelligence is a man praised; but he that is perverse of heart will come to be despised.
Thlang a cyihtaak amyihna kyihcahna awm kawm saw, kawpoek amak leek thlang taw thlang ing hep kaw.
9 Better is he that is lightly esteemed who hath a servant, than he that aimeth after honor, and lacketh bread.
Kawpoek saang toen nawh aikawi amak ta ang lakawh, kawpoek neem nawh ikawm amak ta tamnaa taak ve leek ngai hy.
10 A righteous man careth for the life of his beast; but the mercies of the wicked are cruelty.
Thladyng ingtaw a qamsaa ai kawi ce poek nawh, cehlai, thlakqaw am qeennaak ak saang soeih taw thekhanaak ni.
11 He that tilleth his ground will be satisfied with bread; but he that runneth after idle persons is void of sense.
A lo awh bi ak bii thlang ingtaw ai kawi khawzah ta nawh, a naawmnaak ak sui thlang ingtaw cyihnaak am ta hy.
12 The wicked is covetous for the net of evil men; but [God] giveth root to the righteous.
Khawsak amak leekkhqi ing thlakchekhqi a lawk nai unawh, thlakdyngkhqi a zung taw cak poepa hy.
13 In the transgression of his lips is the snare of the wicked; but the righteous cometh out of distress.
Thlangthawlh taw amah ak awi awh aawk nawh, thlakdyng taw kyinaak awhkawng loet kaw.
14 From the fruit of his mouth will a man be satisfied with what is good; and the recompense of a man's hands will be brought back unto him.
Thlang am lai thaih ing themleek bee sak nawh, amah a bii phu ing ak tingna pekna awm kaw.
15 The way of a fool is straight in his own eyes; but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
Thlakqaw ing amah mik huhawh a lam thyym sak hy, cehlai thlakcyi ingtaw thlak awi ngai hy.
16 The wrath of the fool is known on the very day; but he that concealeth the disgrace is prudent.
Thlakqaw ing ak kawsonaak pho sak pahoei nawh, thlakcyi ingtaw chah kawi ce thuhphah hy.
17 He that uttereth truth announceth righteousness; but a false witness, deceit.
Awihthyym ak kqawn ing ypawmnaak dang sak nawh, amak thyym dyihthingna ak dyi taw thlangthai palat ni.
18 There is some one that useth words [which are] like the thrusts of a sword; but the tongue of the wise is healing.
Poek kaana awi tinaak ing cimcamyihna thlang sun nawh, thlakcyi ak awi ing thlang qoei sak hy.
19 The lip of truth will stand firm for ever; but only for a moment the tongue of falsehood.
Hui ak thyym taw kumquina cak sakna awm kawm saw, qaai awi kqawn taw kawlhkalh ca ham ni.
20 Deceit is in the heart of those that contrive evil; but for the counsellors of peace there is joy.
Them amak leek ak poekkhqi kawlungawh thailatnaak awm nawh, qoepnaak ak sai khqi hamna taw zeelmangnaak ni.
21 No wrong can come unawares to the righteous; but the wicked are full of evil.
Thlakdyng ak khanawh amak leek them ing am pha kawm saw, khawsak amak leekkhqi cetaw amak leek them ingawh bee kawm uh.
22 An abomination of the Lord are lips of falsehood; but they that deal in faithfulness [obtain] his favor.
Qaai ak kqawn am lai taw Bawipa ing sawh na nawh, ak thyymna ak khawsakhqi taw Bawipa ing ym khqi hy.
23 A prudent man concealeth [his] knowledge; but the heart of fools proclaimeth [their] folly.
Thlakcyi ing cyihnaak thuh nawh. Thlakqaw kawlung ingtaw qawnaak dang sak hy.
24 The hand of the diligent will bear rule; but the indolent must become tributary.
Thlak meetkhqi kut ing thlang uk kawm saw, thlang thakdamkhqi taw tamnaa bibinaak ing dyt kaw.
25 If there be care in the heart of man, let him suppress it; and a good word will change it into joy.
Lyynaak kawlung ing thlang patang sak nawh, awih leek ing thlang awmhly sak hy.
26 The righteous is more excellent than his neighbor; but the way of the wicked leadeth them astray.
Thlakdyng taw a imceng ham hquikungna awm nawh, khawsak amak leekkhqi ing kqeeng-naak pha sak hy.
27 The indolent roasteth not that which he hath caught in hunting; but the most precious wealth of man is diligence.
Thaa ak ngak ing a qamsaa kah saa am keuh hy, cehlai thaa ak meet ing a taak khawh khui awhkaw lo nawh thlang pe hy.
28 On the path of righteousness there is life; and on her pathway there is immortality,
Dyngnaak lamawh hqingnaak awm nawh, ce lamawh thihnaak am awm hy.
