< Proverbs 10 >
1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son causeth [his] father to rejoice; but a foolish son is the grief of his mother.
Masese ya Salomo: Mwana ya bwanya asepelisaka tata na ye, kasi mwana ya zoba ayokisaka mama na ye pasi na motema.
2 Treasures of wickedness will not profit aught; but righteousness will deliver from death.
Bomengo oyo ezwami na nzela ya mabe epesaka litomba te, kasi bosembo ekangolaka na kufa.
3 The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish; but the sinful desires of the wicked will he cast away.
Yawe atikaka te ete moto ya sembo akufa nzala, kasi apimelaka bato mabe biloko oyo bazali na yango posa.
4 He becometh poor that laboreth with an indolent hand, but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
Maboko ya goyigoyi ekomisaka moto mobola, kasi maboko oyo esalaka ekomisaka moto mozwi.
5 He that gathereth in summer is an intelligent son; [but] he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.
Moto oyo abombaka biloko na eleko ya mvula azali mwana mayele, kasi moto oyo alalaka pongi na eleko ya kobuka mbuma azali mwana ya soni.
6 Blessings come upon the head of the righteous; but the mouth of the wicked covereth violence.
Mapamboli ezali na likolo ya moto ya moto ya sembo lokola motole, kasi monoko ya moto mabe ebombaka bitumba.
7 The memory of the just is [destined] to be blessed; but the name of the wicked shall rot.
Makanisi ya moto ya sembo ezali na lipamboli, kasi bakobosana kombo ya moto mabe.
8 The wise in heart will accept commandments; but he that is a fool in his speaking will stumble.
Motema ya bwanya endimaka mibeko, kasi moto oyo alobaka makambo ya bozoba amilukelaka libebi.
9 He that walketh uprightly ever walketh securely; but he that perverteth his ways will be punished.
Moto ya sembo atambolaka na kimia, kasi moto oyo atambolaka na banzela etengama-tengama akobima na pwasa.
10 He that winketh with the eye causeth vexation; and he that is a fool in his speaking will stumble.
Moto oyo afinaka liso na mayele mabe alukaka mobulu, kasi moto oyo apamelaka na bosolo alukaka kimia.
11 A source of life is the mouth of the righteous; but the mouth of the wicked covereth violence.
Monoko ya moto ya sembo ezali etima ya bomoi, kasi monoko ya moto mabe ebombaka makambo mabe.
12 Hatred stirreth up strifes; but love throweth a cover over all transgressions.
Koyina ebendaka koswana, kasi bolingo ezipaka mabe.
13 On the lips of the man of understanding there is found wisdom: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of sense.
Bibebu ya moto ya mayele ezalaka na bwanya, kasi fimbu ezali malamu mpo na mokongo ya moto oyo azangi mayele.
14 Wise men treasure up knowledge; but the mouth of the foolish is an approaching terror.
Moto ya bwanya abombaka boyebi, kasi monoko ya zoba ebendaka pasi.
15 The wealth of the rich man is his strong town: the terror of the poor is their poverty.
Bomengo ya mozwi ezali engumba na ye, oyo batonga makasi, kasi bobola ya bato bakelela ezali libebi na bango.
16 The labor of the righteous [tendeth] to life: the product of the wicked is for sin.
Lifuti ya moto ya sembo ememaka ye na bomoi, kasi lifuti ya moto mabe ememaka na lisumu.
17 On the way unto life is he that observeth correction; but he that forsaketh reproof is in error.
Moto oyo ayokaka pamela atambolaka na nzela ya bomoi, kasi moto oyo ayokaka pamela te apengwisaka bato mosusu.
18 He that hideth hatred hath lips of falsehood; and he that spreadeth abroad an evil report, is a fool.
Moto oyo abombaka koyina kati na motema na ye azali na bibebu ya lokuta, mpe moto oyo atongaka bato azali zoba.
19 In a multitude of words transgression cannot be avoided; but he that refraineth his lips is intelligent.
Moto oyo alobaka maloba ebele azangaka te kosala masumu, kasi moto oyo abatelaka bibebu na ye azali moto ya bwanya.
20 [Like] choice silver is the tongue of the righteous: the heart of the wicked is worth but very little.
Lolemo ya moto ya sembo ezali lokola palata ya talo, kasi motema ya moto mabe ezali na tina te.
21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die through lack of sense.
Bibebu ya moto ya sembo ebikisaka bato ebele, kasi zoba akokufa na bozoba na ye.
22 The blessing of the Lord it is which maketh rich, and painful labor addeth nothing thereto.
Lipamboli ya Yawe ekomisaka moto mozwi, mpe abakisaka pasi te na likolo na yango.
23 It is as sport to a fool to do wicked deeds; but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
Kosala mabe esepelisaka moto oyo azangi mayele, kasi bwanya esepelisaka moto ya mayele.
24 What the wicked dreadeth, that will come upon him: but the longing of the righteous will God grant.
Makambo oyo moto mabe abangaka, yango kaka nde ekomelaka ye, kasi baposa ya moto ya sembo ekokokisama.
25 As the whirlwind passeth by, the wicked is no more; but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
Ndenge mbonge elekaka, ndenge wana mpe moto mabe akozala lisusu te, kasi moto ya sembo akotikala lokola moboko mpo na libela.
26 As vinegar is to the teeth, and as smoke is to the eyes: so is the sluggard to those that send him.
Ndenge masanga ya ngayi esalaka minu ngayi, mpe molinga esalaka miso pasi, ndenge wana mpe moto ya goyigoyi azalaka epai ya bato oyo batindaka ye pasi.
27 The fear of the Lord increaseth [man's] days; but the years of the wicked will be shortened.
Kotosa Yawe eyeisaka bomoi molayi, kasi bomoi ya bato mabe ekokoma mokuse.
28 The expectation of the righteous is joy; but the hope of the wicked shall perish.
Elikya ya moto ya sembo ekosuka na esengo, kasi elikya ya moto mabe ekosuka na pamba.
29 The way of the Lord is a stronghold to the upright; but terror is destined to the workers of injustice.
Nzela ya Yawe ezali ekimelo ya makasi mpo na bato oyo batambolaka na boyengebene, kasi ezali nde libebi mpo na bato oyo basalaka mabe.
30 The righteous shall never be removed; but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
Moto ya sembo akotikala kokweya te, kasi bato mabe bakovanda na mokili te.
31 The mouth of the just uttereth wisdom; but the tongue of perverseness shall be cut out.
Monoko ya moto ya sembo epesaka bwanya, kasi lolemo ya lokuta ekokatama.
32 The lips of the righteous know [how to obtain] favor; but the mouth of the wicked [speaketh] perverseness.
Bibebu ya moto ya sembo eyebaka makambo oyo ezali malamu, kasi monoko ya moto mabe ezalaka kaka na makambo mabe.
