Numbers 8
1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो,
2 Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, then shall the seven lamps give light toward the body of the candlestick.
“हारूनलाई भन् । 'तैँले सातवटा बत्ती बाल्दा तिनीहरूले सामदानको अघिल्तिर प्रकाश दिनुपर्छ ।'
3 And Aaron did so; toward the body of the candlestick did he light its lamps; as the Lord had commanded Moses.
हारूनले यसै गरे । परमप्रभुले आज्ञा गर्नुभएझैँ हारूनले सामदान अघिल्तिर प्रकाश दिनलाई बत्तीहरू बाले ।
4 And this was the workmanship of the candlestick: It was of beaten gold, from the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, it was beaten work; according unto the pattern which the Lord had shown Moses, so made he the candlestick.
सामदान यस किसिमले बनाइएको थियो र परमप्रभुले मोशालाई यसको निम्ति नमुना देखाउनुभयो । यो आधारदेखि टुप्पोसम्म फूलजस्ता कचौरालाई पिटेको सुनको हुनुपर्थ्यो ।
5 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
फेरि परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो,
6 Take the Levites from the midst of the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
“लेवीहरूलाई इस्राएलका मानिसहरूबाट ले र तिनीहरूलाई शुद्ध पार् ।
7 And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle upon them water of purification, after they have let the razor pass over all their flesh, and then let them wash their clothes, and so shall they be clean.
तिनीहरूलाई शुद्ध पार्न यसो गर्ः तिनीहरूमाथि प्रायश्चित्तको पानी छर्किदे । तिनीहरूको पुरै शरीर, तिनीहरूको लुगा धुन लगा र यसरी तिनीहरूलाई शुद्ध पार् ।
8 And they shall take a young bullock with his meat-offering, fine flour mingled with oil; and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin-offering.
त्यसपछि तिनीहरूलाई एउटा बाछो र तेलले मुछेको मसिनो पिठोको अन्नबलि ल्याउन लगा । तिनीहरूले पापबलिको रूपमा अर्को एउटा बाछो पनि ल्याऊन् ।
9 And thou shalt bring near the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt assemble together the whole congregation of the children of Israel.
तैँले लेवीहरूलाई भेट हुने पालको अघि ल्यानेछस् र इस्राएलका मानिसहरूको सारा समुदाय भेला हुनेछन् ।
10 And when thou hast brought near the Levites before the Lord, then shall the children of Israel lay their hands upon the Levites:
तैँले लेवीहरूलाई परमप्रभुको सामु ल्याउँदा इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले आफ्नो हात लेवीहरूमाथि राख्नुपर्छ ।
11 And Aaron shall make with the Levites a waving before the Lord from the children of Israel, that they may be ready to execute the service of the Lord.
हारूनले लेवीहरूलाई इस्राएलका मानिसहरूको तर्फबाट डोलाइने बलिको रूपमा चढाउनुपर्छ, ताकि तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुको सेवाको काम गरून् ।
12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt prepare the one as a sin-offering, and the other as a burnt-offering, unto the Lord, to make an atonement for the Levites.
लेवीहरूले साँढेहरूमाथि तिनीहरूका हात राख्नुपर्छ ।
13 And thou shalt place the Levites before Aaron and before his sons, and make with them a waving before the Lord.
तैँले लेवीहरूका प्रायश्चित्तको निम्ति एउटा साँढेलाई पापबलिको रूपमा र अर्कोलाई होमबलिको रूपमा चढाउनुपर्छ । तैँले लेवीहरूलाई हारून र त्यसका छोराहरूको सामु ले र तिनीहरूलाई डोलाइने बलिको रूपमा चढा ।
14 Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from the midst of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.
१तैँले लेवीहरूलाई इस्राएलका मानिसहरूबाट यसरी अलग गर् । लेवीहरू मेरा हुन् ।
15 And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: after thou shalt have cleansed them, and made with them a waving.
त्यसपछि लेवीहरू भेट हुने पालमा सेवा गर्न जानुपर्छ । तैँले तिनीहरूलाई शुद्ध पार्नुपर्छ । तैँले तिनीहरूलाई डोलाइने बलिको रूपमा चढाउनुपर्छ ।
16 For they are wholly given unto me from the midst of the children of Israel: instead of every one that openeth the womb, of every first-born of the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
यसो गर्, किनभने तिनीहरू इस्राएलका मानिसहरूबाट पूर्ण रूपमा मेरा हुन् । तिनीहरूले गर्भ खोल्ने इस्राएलका सबै सन्तानका पहिले जन्मेका हरेक पुरुष बालकको स्थान लिनेछन् । मैले लेवीहरूलाई आफ्नै निम्ति लिएको छु ।
17 For mine are all the first-born of the children of Israel, both of man and beast: on the day that I smote every first-born in the land of Egypt did I sanctify them unto myself.
इस्राएलका मानिसहरूको पशु र मानिस दुवैबाट पहिले जन्मेकाहरू सबै मेरा हुन् । मैले मिश्र देशमा तिनीहरूका सबै पहिले जन्मेकाहरूलाई लिएको दिन नै मैले तिनीहरूलाई आफ्नै निम्ति अलग गरेँ ।
18 And I have taken the Levites, instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel.
मैले लेवीहरूलाई इस्राएलका मानिसहरूबाट सबै पहिले जन्मेकाहरूको सट्टामा लिएको छु ।
19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from the midst of the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel; that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.
मैले लेवीहरूलाई हारून र त्यसका छोराहरूलाई उपहारको रूपमा दिएको छु । मैले तिनीहरूलाई इस्राएलका मानिसहरूबाट भेट हुने पालमा इस्राएलका मानिसहरूको काम गर्नलाई लिएको छु । मैले तिनीहरूलाई इस्राएलका मानिसहरूका निम्ति प्रायश्चित्त गर्नलाई दिएको छु, ताकि तिनीहरू पवित्र स्थानको नजिक आउँदा मानिसहरूमाथि कुनै विपत्ति नआओस् ।
20 And so did Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, to the Levites: according unto all that the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.
मोशा, हारून र इस्राएलका मानिसहरूका सारा समुदायले लेवीसँगै यो गरे । परमप्रभुले लेवीबारे मोशालाई आज्ञा दिनुभएबमोजिम तिनीहरूले सबै थोक गरे । इस्राएलका मानिसहरूले तिनीहरूसँग यसै गरे ।
21 And the Levites purified themselves, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron made with them a waving before the Lord: and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.
लेवीहरूले आफैलाई शुद्ध पारे र आ-आफ्ना लुगाहरू धोए, अनि हारूनले तिनीहरूलाई परमप्रभुको निम्ति डोलाइने बलिको रूपमा चढाए र तिनले तिनीहरूलाई शुद्ध पार्न तिनीहरूको निम्ति प्रायश्चित्त गरे ।
22 And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.
त्यसपछि लेवीहरू हारून र तिनका छोराहरूको अधीनमा रहेर तिनीहरूको काम गर्न भेट हुने पालभित्र गए । यो परमप्रभुले लेवीहरूको बारेमा मोशालाई आज्ञा गर्नुभएअनुसार थियो । तिनीहरूले सबै लेवीलाई यसो गरे ।
23 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो,
24 This shall be the rule for the Levites: From twenty and five years old and upward shall he go into the ranks to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation;
“यो सबै पच्चिस वर्ष र त्यसभन्दा माथिका लेवीहरूका निम्ति हो । तिनीहरू भेट हुने पालमा सेवा गर्न दलमा सहभागी हुनुपर्छ ।
25 And from the age of fifty years shall he go out of the ranks of the service, and he shall serve no more;
तिनीहरू पचास वर्षको भएपछि यसरी सेवा गर्न छोड्नुपर्छ । त्यस उमेरमा तिनीहरूले सेवा गर्नुहुँदैन ।
26 But he shall wait on his brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, but the service shall he not perform; thus shalt thou do unto the Levites in the discharge of their office.
तिनीहरूले भेट हुने पालमा सेवा गरिरहने तिनीहरूका भाइहरूलाई सहायता गर्न सक्छन्, तर तिनीहरूले सेवा गर्नुहुँदैन । तैँले लेवीहरूलाई यी कुराहरूमा निर्देशन दिनुपर्छ ।”
