Numbers 5
1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
१परमेश्वर मोशेशी बोलला. तो म्हणाला,
2 Command the children of Israel, that they send out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:
२“इस्राएल लोकांस अशी आज्ञा कर की, प्रत्येक महारोगी, व कोणाला कसल्याही प्रकारचा स्त्राव होत असेल व कोणी प्रेताला शिवल्यामुळे अशुद्ध झालेला असल्यास अशा लोकांस त्यांनी छावणीच्या बाहेर घालवून द्यावे;
3 Both male and female shall ye send out, to without the camp shall ye send them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.
३मग तो पुरुष असो किंवा ती स्त्री असो त्यांना छावणीच्या बाहेर काढावे म्हणजे मग छावणी आजार व विटाळापासून शुद्ध स्वच्छ राहील; कारण मी छावणीत तुमच्याबरोबर राहत आहे.”
4 And the children of Israel did so, and they sent them out to without the camp: as the Lord had spoken unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.
४तेव्हा परमेश्वराने मोशेला आज्ञा दिल्याप्रमाणे इस्राएल लोकांनी परमेश्वराची आज्ञा मानून त्या लोकांस छावणीबाहेर काढून टाकले.
5 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
५परमेश्वर पुन्हा मोशेशी बोलला. तो म्हणाला,
6 Speak unto the children of Israel, If any man or woman commit any sin against a fellow-man, thereby doing a trespass against the Lord, and this person thus become guilty:
६इस्राएल लोकांस हे सांग की एखादा पुरुष वा स्त्री दुसऱ्याचा अपराध करील तर खरे पाहता तो परमेश्वराविरूद्धच पाप करील व म्हणून तो दोषी ठरेल.
7 Then shall they confess their sin which they have committed; and he shall make restitution for his trespass with the principal thereof, and its fifth part shall he add thereto, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.
७तेव्हा त्या मनुष्याने आपला अपराध कबूल करावा. मग ज्याचा त्याने अपराध केला आहे त्याची त्याने पूर्णपणे भरपाई करावी व त्या भरपाईत आणखी एक पंचमांशाची भर घालून ज्याचा त्याने अपराध केला आहे त्यास ती सर्व द्यावी.
8 But if the man have no kinsman to whom restitution could be made for the trespass, then shall the trespass which is restored unto the Lord, belong to the priest; besides the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.
८पण ज्याच्यावर अपराध घडला आहे तो मेला आणि अपराधाबद्दलची भरपाई घेण्यास त्याचे जवळचे कोणी नातलग नसतील तर त्या अपराधी मनुष्याने ती भरपाई परमेश्वरास अर्पण करावी. त्याने ती पूर्ण भरपाई याजकाकडे द्यावी. याजकाने त्या अपराध्याच्या प्रायश्चितासाठी प्रायश्चिताचा मेंढा अर्पण करावा परंतु राहिलेली भरपाई याजकाने ठेवावी.
9 And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.
९“जर कोणी इस्राएली लोकांमधून परमेश्वरास समर्पित करण्याकरिता काही विशेष देणगी याजकाकडे देईल तर ती याजकाने ठेवून घ्यावी; ती त्याचीच होईल.
10 And every man's hallowed things shall be his: whatsoever any man giveth to the priest, shall belong to him.
१०प्रत्येक मनुष्याने पवित्र केलेल्या वस्तू त्या याजकाच्याच होत. याजकाला कोणी काही दिले तर ते त्याचेच होईल.”
11 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
११मग परमेश्वर पुन्हा मोशेशी बोलला. तो म्हणाला,
12 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If the wife of any man go aside, and commit a trespass against him,
१२इस्राएल लोकांस असे सांग की एखाद्या मनुष्याच्या पत्नीने त्याचा विश्वासघात केला.
13 And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hidden from the eyes of her husband, because she hath been secretly defiled; and there be no witness against her, and she have not been detected and in the fact;
१३म्हणजे तिने दुसऱ्या मनुष्याशी कुकर्म केले व ही गोष्ट तिने आपल्या नवऱ्यापासून लपवून ठेवली तर कोणी साक्षीदार नसल्यामुळे हे कुकर्म तिच्या नवऱ्याला कधीच कळणार नाही; ती स्वत: तर आपल्या नवऱ्याला ही गोष्ट सांगणारच नाही;
14 And the spirit of jealousy come over him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she have been defiled; or the spirit of jealousy come over him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she have not been defiled:
१४आणि तिच्या पतीच्या मनात प्रेमशंका उदभवली आणि आपल्या स्त्रीच्या पातिव्रत्याबद्दल त्यास संशय येऊन ती जर खरोखर भ्रष्ट झालेली असली अथवा तिच्या पतीच्या मनात प्रेमशंका उदभवून आपल्या स्त्रीच्या पातिव्रत्याबद्दल त्यास संशय आला आणि ती वास्तविक भ्रष्ट झालेली नसली.
15 Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley-meal; he shall not pour any oil upon it, nor put any frankincense thereupon; for it is a meat-offering of jealousy, a meat-offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.
१५जर असे झाले, तर त्या मनुष्याने आपल्या पत्नीला याजकाकडे घेऊन जावे. तसेच त्याने अर्पण म्हणून एक दशमांश एफा जवाचे पीठ अर्पावे; त्याच्यावर त्याने तेल ओतू नये किंवा धूप ठेवू नये; कारण परप्रेमशंकेमुळे केलेले म्हणजे अनीतीचे स्मरण करून देणारे हे अन्नार्पण होय.
16 And the priest shall bring her near, and place her before the Lord;
१६याजकाने त्या स्त्रीला परमेश्वरासमोर उभे करावे.
17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water;
१७मग याजकाने मातीच्या पात्रात पवित्र पाणी घ्यावे व पवित्र निवासमंडपाच्या जमिनीवरील थोडीशी धूळ त्यामध्ये टाकावी.
18 And the priest shall place the woman before the Lord, and uncover the woman's head, and put upon her hands the meat-offering of memorial, it is the meat-offering of jealousy; and in the hand of the priest shall be the bitter waters that bring the curse.
१८याजकाने त्या स्त्रीला परमेश्वरासमोर उभे रहावयास सांगावे. मग त्याने तिच्या डोक्याचे केस सोडावे, आणि द्वेषामुळे अर्पण करण्यासाठी आणिलेले जवाचे पीठ तिच्या हातावर ठेवावे. त्याचवेळी याजकाने शाप आणणारे जे कडू पाणी आपल्या हातात घ्यावे;
19 And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and he shall say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness behind thy husband: then be thou free from these bitter waters that bring the curse.
१९मग त्या याजकाने त्या स्त्रीला खोटे न बोलण्याबद्दल सूचना द्यावी. तसेच तिने खरे सांगण्याचे वचन द्यावे. याजकाने तिला म्हणावे; तू लग्न झालेल्या तुझ्या नवऱ्याविरूद्ध पाप करून दुसऱ्या पुरुषाबरोबर कुकर्म केले नसेल तर मग या शाप देणाऱ्या कडू पाण्यापासून मुक्त हो.
20 But if thou hast gone aside behind thy husband, and if thou hast been defiled, and some man have lain with thee besides thy husband: —
२०परंतु तू जर तुझ्या नवऱ्या विरूद्ध पाप केले असेल, तू दुसऱ्या पुरुषाबरोबर संबंध केला असशील तर मग तू भ्रष्ट झाली आहेस.
21 And the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of imprecation, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The Lord then make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the Lord doth cause thy thigh to fall away, and thy belly to swell;
२१मग याजकाने त्या स्त्रीला परमेश्वरापुढे शापाची शपथ घ्यावयास सांगावे; परमेश्वर तुझी मांडी सडवील व तुझे पोट फुगविल तेव्हा परमेश्वर तुला लोकांच्या शापाला व तिरस्काराला पात्र करो.
22 And these waters that bring the curse shall go into thy bowels, to cause the belly to swell, and the thigh to fall away; and the woman shall say, Amen, amen.
२२याजकाने म्हणावे, म्हणजे तुझे पोट फुगविण्यासाठी व मांडी सडविण्यासाठी हे शापजनक पाणी तुझ्या आतड्यात शिरेल. मग त्या स्त्रीने आमेन, आमेन असे म्हणावे.
23 And the priest shall write these curses on a roll, and he shall blot them out with the bitter waters.
२३मग याजकाने हे शापशब्द पुस्तकात लिहून ते कडू पाण्यात धुवावे.
24 And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter waters that bring the curse: and the waters that bring the curse shall enter into her for bitterness.
२४मग ते शापित कडू पाणी त्या स्त्रीने प्यावे. हे पाणी तिच्या पोटात जाईल आणि तिच्या पोटात कडूपणा उत्पन्न करील.
25 And the priest shall take out of the woman's hand the meat-offering of jealousy, and he shall wave the meat-offering before the Lord, and bring it near to the altar:
२५नंतर याजकाने ते द्वेषाबद्दलचे अन्नार्पण त्या स्त्रीच्या हातातून घ्यावे व परमेश्वरासमोर उंच धरावे आणि मग ते वेदीजवळ घेऊन जावे.
26 And the priest shall take a handful from the meat-offering, as its memorial, and burn it upon the altar, and after that shall he cause the woman to drink the water.
२६मग त्यातील मूठभर अन्नार्पण घेऊन त्याचे स्मारक म्हणून ते वेदीवर जाळावे. त्यानंतर याजकाने त्या स्त्रीला हे पाणी पिण्यास सांगावे.
27 And when he hath made her drink the water, then shall it come to pass, if she have been defiled, and have committed a trespass against her husband, that the waters that bring the curse shall enter into her, for bitterness, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall fall away; and the woman shall become a curse among her people.
२७जर त्या स्त्रीने आपल्या नवऱ्याविरूद्ध अपराध केला असेल तर शापजनक पाणी पाजल्यावर ते तिच्या पोटात जाईल व कडूपणा उत्पन्न करील. तिचे पोट फुगेल, तिची मांडी सडेल तिच्या लोकात तिचे नाव शापित होईल.
28 And if the woman have not been defiled, but be clean: then shall she remain unharmed, and she shall conceive seed.
२८परंतु त्या स्त्रीने आपल्या नवऱ्याविरूद्ध पाप केले नसेल व ती शुद्ध असेल तर ती स्त्री अपराधी नाही असे याजकाने तिला सांगावे. मग ती मुक्त होईल व गर्भधारणेस पात्र ठरेल.
29 This is the law of jealousies, when a woman goeth aside behind her husband, and hath been defiled;
२९तेव्हा द्वेषासंबंधी हा नियम आहे. एखाद्या स्त्रीने आपल्या नवऱ्याविरूद्ध जर पाप केले तर तू ही अशी कारवाई करावी.
30 Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh over him, and he be jealous of his wife; and he shall place the woman before the Lord, and the priest shall do unto her altogether according to this law.
३०किंवा एखाद्या पुरुषाने आपल्या पत्नीने आपल्या विरूद्ध पाप केले आहे असा संशय व द्वेष, धरला तर त्या मनुष्याने अशी कारवाई करावी; त्या मनुष्याने स्त्रीला परमेश्वरासमोर उभे करावे व सांगितलेल्या नियमाप्रमाणे तिच्याविरूद्ध कारवाई करावी.
31 And the man shall be guiltless from iniquity; but this woman shall bear her iniquity.
३१मग पती अधर्म करण्यापासून मुक्त होईल परंतु जर स्त्रीने पाप केले असेल तर तिला त्रास भोगावा लागेल.
