Numbers 34
1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
Og Herren tala meir til Moses, og sagde:
2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, when ye come into the land of Canaan, shall this be the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance: The land of Canaan according to its boundaries.
«Seg til Israels-sønerne: «Når de kjem inn i Kana’ans-landet - det er det landet de skal hava og eiga, heile Kana’ans-landet so vidt som det er -
3 And the southern side shall be unto you from the wilderness of Zin along by the boundary of Edom, and your southern border shall commence at the outmost edge of the Salt Sea on its east side.
so skal landeskilet dykkar på sudsida ganga frå Sinheidi langs med Edom, den søre bytestrengen skal i aust ganga ut ifrå enden av Saltsjøen,
4 And the border shall turn for you from the south of the ascent of 'Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin; and its terminating points shall be to the south of Kadesh-barnea', and shall go on to Chazar-addar, and pass on to Azmon;
og svinga sudum Skorpionskardet, og so taka yver til Sin; so skal han ganga fram sunnanfor Kades-Barnea, til han når Hasar-Addar, og so taka yver til Asmon;
5 And the border shall turn from 'Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and its terminating points shall be at the sea.
frå Asmon skal bytet svinga burt til Egyptarlands-bekken, og so ganga i havet.
6 And as the western border, shall ye have the Great Sea for a border: this shall be your western border.
I vest skal landet støyta til Storhavet; det skal vera landskilet dykkar mot vest.
7 And this shall be unto you the northern border: from the Great Sea shall ye mark out for you [the boundary to] mount Hor;
På nordsida skal landskilet ganga soleis. Frå Storhavet skal de draga skiftelina til Horfjellet
8 From mount Hor shall ye mark out [the boundary] unto the entrance of Chamath; and the terminations of the border shall be toward Zedad;
og frå Horfjellet dit som vegen ber til Hamat; der skal bytet ganga ut ved Sedad;
9 And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and its terminating points shall be at Chazar'-enan: this shall be unto you the northern border.
sidan skal det halda fram til Zifron, og so enda ved Hasar-Enan. Dette skal vera landskilet dykkar mot nord.
10 And ye shall turn yourselves to the eastern border, from Chazar-'enan to Shepham;
I aust skal de setja landskilet etter ei lina som gjeng frå Hasar-Enan til Sefam.
11 And the boundary shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, to the eastward of 'Ayin; and the boundary shall descend, and shall touch upon the coast of the sea of Kinnereth, eastward;
Frå Sefam skal bytet ganga nedetter til Ha-ribla, i aust for Ajin, og so lenger ned, til det når berghallet austanfor Kinneretsjøen;
12 And the border shall go down to the Jordan, and its terminating points shall be at the Salt Sea: this shall be your land after its boundaries round about.
so skal det ganga nedåt Jordan, og ut i Saltsjøen. Det skal vera landet dykkar, etter bytemerki sine rundt ikring.»»
13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall divide among yourselves by lot, which the Lord hath commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe.
Og Moses sagde til Israels-sønerne: «Dette er det landet som de skal få til odel og eiga; de skal skifta det i luter, og draga strå um luterne; det er det landet som Herren hev sagt skal gjevast åt dei ni ætterne og den eine halve ætti.
14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their family divisions, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to their family divisions, have received, —and the half of the tribe of Menasseh have received their inheritance;
For Rubens-ætti med greinerne sine og Gads-ætti med sine greiner og den halve Manasse-ætti hev fenge dei eigorne dei skal hava;
15 The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan opposite Jericho eastward, toward the rising of the sun.
desse tvo ætterne og den halve ætti hev fenge sin eigedom på denne sida av Jordanelvi, som renn frammed Jeriko - i aust, der soli kjem upp.»
16 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
Og Herren tala atter til Moses, og sagde:
17 These are the names of the men who shall parcel out unto you the land: Elazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.
«Høyr no kva dei er for menner som skal skifta ut landet millom dykk; Eleazar, øvstepresten, og Josva Nunsson,
18 And one prince each from every tribe shall ye take to parcel out the land.
og so ein hovding frå kvar ætt, som de skal taka til utskiftingsmann;
19 And these are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Yephunneh:
det er av Juda-ætti Kaleb, son åt Jefunne;
20 And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of 'Ammihud;
og av Simeons-ætti Semuel, son åt Ammihud;
21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Kisslon;
og av Benjamins-ætti Elidad, son åt Kislon;
22 And of the tribe of the children of Dan the prince, Bukki the son of Yogli;
so ein hovding av Dans-ætti: Bukki, son åt Jogli;
23 Of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Menasseh the prince, Channiel the son of Ephod;
og av Josefs-sønerne ein hovding av Manasse-ætti: Hanniel, son åt Efod,
24 And of the tribe of the children of Ephraim the prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan;
og ein hovding av Efraims-ætti: Kemuel, son åt Siftan;
25 And of the tribe of the children of Zebulun the prince, Elizaphan the son of Parnach;
so ein hovding av Sebulons-ætti: Elisafan, son åt Parnak;
26 And of the tribe of the children of Issachar the prince, Paltiel the son of 'Azzan;
og ein hovding av Issakars-ætti: Paltiel, son åt Azzan;
27 And of the tribe of the children of Asher the prince, Achihud the son of Shelomi;
og ein hovding av Assers-ætti: Akhihud, son åt Selomi;
28 And of the tribe of the children of Naphtali the prince, Pedahel the son of 'Ammihud.
og ein hovding av Naftali-ætti: Pedael, son åt Ammihud.»
29 These are they whom the Lord hath commanded to divide out the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.
Desse mennerne var det som Herren sagde skulde skifta eigedomarne millom Israels-sønerne i Kana’ans-landet.
