Numbers 34
1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
Et le Seigneur parla à Moïse, disant:
2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, when ye come into the land of Canaan, shall this be the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance: The land of Canaan according to its boundaries.
Donne mes ordres aux fils d'Israël, et dis-leur: Vous allez entrer en la terre de Chanaan; cette terre, avec ses limites, vous appartiendra comme héritage.
3 And the southern side shall be unto you from the wilderness of Zin along by the boundary of Edom, and your southern border shall commence at the outmost edge of the Salt Sea on its east side.
Au midi, vous la possèderez depuis le désert jusqu'au territoire d'Edom; de ce côté, la limite sera d'abord le rivage oriental de la mer Salée.
4 And the border shall turn for you from the south of the ascent of 'Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin; and its terminating points shall be to the south of Kadesh-barnea', and shall go on to Chazar-addar, and pass on to Azmon;
Vos limites au midi tourneront autour de la montée d'Acrabin; elles traverseront Ennac (Senna), et elles descendront au delà de Cadès-Barné; puis, elles sortiront du village d'Arad, et elles passeront par Asémona.
5 And the border shall turn from 'Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and its terminating points shall be at the sea.
A partir d'Asémona, elles suivront les contours du torrent d'Egypte, et finiront à la mer.
6 And as the western border, shall ye have the Great Sea for a border: this shall be your western border.
Ensuite, vous aurez pour limites la mer, la grande mer vous limitera; ce sera la frontière occidentale.
7 And this shall be unto you the northern border: from the Great Sea shall ye mark out for you [the boundary to] mount Hor;
Au nord, voici quelle sera votre limite: à partir de la mer, vous mesurerez pour vous la montagne, le long de la montagne.
8 From mount Hor shall ye mark out [the boundary] unto the entrance of Chamath; and the terminations of the border shall be toward Zedad;
Et vous mesurerez pour vous de montagne en montagne; votre frontière, après être entrée dans Emath, ira jusqu'à Saradac (Sadada).
9 And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and its terminating points shall be at Chazar'-enan: this shall be unto you the northern border.
Ensuite, elle sortira de Déphron (Zéphronie), et finira en Arsenaïn (Enan): telle sera votre frontière du nord.
10 And ye shall turn yourselves to the eastern border, from Chazar-'enan to Shepham;
Et tous mesurerez votre frontière orientale d'Arsenaïn à Séphama;
11 And the boundary shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, to the eastward of 'Ayin; and the boundary shall descend, and shall touch upon the coast of the sea of Kinnereth, eastward;
Elle descendra de Séphama en Béla (Rébla), au delà des frontières, et de Béla à l'extrémité de la rive orientale de la mer de Cénéreth (Génésareth).
12 And the border shall go down to the Jordan, and its terminating points shall be at the Salt Sea: this shall be your land after its boundaries round about.
Puis, elle suivra le cours du Jourdain, et elle finira par la mer Salée: telle sera votre terre, telles seront ses limites tout alentour.
13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall divide among yourselves by lot, which the Lord hath commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe.
Moïse donna donc cet ordre aux fils d'Israël, disant: Voici la terre que vous vous partagerez au sort, comme l'a prescrit le Seigneur, pour la distribuer aux neuf tribus et à la demi-tribu de Manassé.
14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their family divisions, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to their family divisions, have received, —and the half of the tribe of Menasseh have received their inheritance;
Car les fils de Ruben, les fils de Gad, par familles paternelles, et une demi-tribu de Manassé, ont reçu leurs parts.
15 The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan opposite Jericho eastward, toward the rising of the sun.
Deux tribus et une demi-tribu ont pris leur part, vis-à-vis Jéricho, sur la rive orientale du Jourdain, au sud-est
16 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
Et le Seigneur parla à Moïse, disant:
17 These are the names of the men who shall parcel out unto you the land: Elazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.
Voici les noms des hommes qui procèderont au partage de la terre: Eléazar le prêtre, et Josué, fils de Nau.
18 And one prince each from every tribe shall ye take to parcel out the land.
Et vous prendrez par tribu un prince qui tirera au sort la part de la tribu.
19 And these are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Yephunneh:
Voici les noms de ces princes, pour la tribu de Juda: Caleb, fils de Jéphoné.
20 And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of 'Ammihud;
Pour la tribu de Siméon: Samuel, fils d'Ammiud.
21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Kisslon;
Pour la tribu de Benjamin: Elidad, fils de Chaselon.
22 And of the tribe of the children of Dan the prince, Bukki the son of Yogli;
Pour la tribu de Dan: Bocchi, fils de Jogli.
23 Of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Menasseh the prince, Channiel the son of Ephod;
Pour les fils de Joseph, de la tribu de Manassé: Hanniel, fils d'Ephod;
24 And of the tribe of the children of Ephraim the prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan;
Pour la tribu d'Ephraïm: Camuel, fils de Sephthan;
25 And of the tribe of the children of Zebulun the prince, Elizaphan the son of Parnach;
Pour la tribu de Zabulon: Elisaphan, fils de Pharnach.
26 And of the tribe of the children of Issachar the prince, Paltiel the son of 'Azzan;
Pour la tribu d'Issachar: Phaltiel, fils d'Ozan.
27 And of the tribe of the children of Asher the prince, Achihud the son of Shelomi;
Pour la tribu d'Aser: Ahiud, fils de Salomi.
28 And of the tribe of the children of Naphtali the prince, Pedahel the son of 'Ammihud.
Et pour la tribu de Nephthali: Phédaël, fils d'Ammiudi
29 These are they whom the Lord hath commanded to divide out the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.
Tels furent ceux à qui le Seigneur ordonna de faire les parts des fils d'Israël, en la terre de Chanaan.
