Numbers 33

1 These are the journeys of the children of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt according to their armies, under the guidance of Moses and Aaron.

Stations des enfants d'Israël sortis du pays d'Egypte, formant leurs divisions sous la conduite de Moïse et d'Aaron.

2 And Moses wrote their departures according to their journeys by the order of the Lord; and these are their journeys according to their departures.

Moïse mit par écrit leurs marches selon leurs stations sur l'ordre de l'Éternel, et voici les stations qu'ils firent dans leurs marches.

3 And they set forward from Ra'meses in the first month; on the fifteenth day of the first month, on the morrow after the passover-sacrifice the children of Israel went out with a high hand before the eyes of all the Egyptians.

Ils partirent de Raemsès dans le premier mois, le quinzième jour du premier mois; le lendemain de la Pâque, les enfants d'Israël sortirent la main haute, aux yeux de toute l'Egypte,

4 And the Egyptians were burying all the first-born, whom the Lord had smitten among them; and upon their gods also did the Lord execute judgments.

tandis que les Égyptiens donnaient la sépulture à ceux que l'Éternel avait frappés parmi eux, à tous les premiers-nés; et l'Éternel exerçait ses jugements sur leurs dieux.

5 And the children of Israel removed from Ra'meses, and encamped in Succoth.

Étant donc partis de Raemsès, ils vinrent camper à Succoth.

6 And they removed from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, which is on the edge of the wilderness:

Et partis de Succoth ils vinrent camper à Etham situé à l'extrémité du désert.

7 And they removed from Etham, and returned unto Pi-hachiroth, which is before Ba'al-zephon; and they encamped before Migdol.

Et partis d'Etham ils revinrent sur Pi-Hahiroth située vis-à-vis de Baal-Tsephon et campèrent devant Migdol.

8 And they removed from before Pi-hachiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness; and they went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.

Et partis de Hahiroth ils arrivèrent au travers de la mer dans le désert, et firent trois journées de marche dans le désert d'Etham et campèrent à Mara.

9 And they removed from Marah, and came unto Elim; and in Elim there were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm-trees; and they encamped there.

Et partis de Mara ils parvinrent à Elim, or à Elim il y avait douze sources d'eau et soixante-dix palmiers; et ils y campèrent.

10 And they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red Sea.

Et partis d'Elim ils vinrent camper vers la Mer aux algues.

11 And they removed from the Red Sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

Et partis de la Mer aux algues ils vinrent camper dans le désert de Sin.

12 And they removed from the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

Et partis du désert de Sin ils vinrent camper à Dophka.

13 And they removed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.

Et partis de Dophka ils vinrent camper à Alus.

14 And they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, and there was no water for the people to drink.

Et partis d'Alus ils vinrent camper à Raphidim; or le peuple n'y trouva point d'eau à boire.

15 And they removed from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai.

Et partis de Raphidim ils vinrent camper dans le désert de Sinaï.

16 And they removed from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped in Kibroth-hattaavah.

Et partis du désert de Sinaï ils vinrent camper aux Tombeaux de la convoitise.

17 And they removed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped in Chazeroth.

Et partis des Tombeaux de la convoitise ils vinrent camper à Hatseroth.

18 And they removed from Chazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah.

Et partis de Hatseroth ils vinrent camper à Rithma.

19 And they removed from Rithmah, and encamped in Rimmon-perez.

Et partis de Rithma ils vinrent camper à Rimmon-Parets.

20 And they removed from Rimmon-perez, and encamped in Libnah.

Et partis de Rimmon-Parets ils vinrent camper à Libna.

21 And they removed from Libnah, and encamped in Rissah.

Et partis de Libna ils vinrent camper à Rissa.

22 And they removed from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah.

Et partis de Rissa ils vinrent camper à Kehelatha.

23 And they removed from Kehelathah, and encamped in mount Shapher.

Et partis de Kehelatha ils vinrent camper au mont Sapher.

24 And they removed from mount Shapher, and encamped in Charadah.

Et partis du mont Sapher ils vinrent camper à Harada.

25 And they removed from Charadah, and encamped in Makheloth.

Et partis de Harada ils vinrent camper à Makheloth.

26 And they removed from Makheloth, and encamped in Tachath.

Et partis de Makheloth ils vinrent camper à Thahath.

27 And they removed from Tachath, and encamped in Tarach.

Et partis de Thahath ils vinrent camper à Tharach.

28 And they removed from Tarach, and encamped in Mithkah.

Et partis de Tharach ils vinrent camper à Mithka.

29 And they removed from Mithkah, and encamped in Chashmonah.

Et partis de Mithka ils vinrent camper à Hasmona.

30 And they removed from Chashmonah, and encamped in Mosseroth.

Et partis de Hasmona ils vinrent camper à Moseroth.

31 And they removed from Mosseroth, and encamped in Bene-ya'akan.

Et partis de Moseroth ils vinrent camper à Bnei-Jaakan.

32 And they removed from Bene-ya'akan, and encamped in Chor-hagidgad.

Et partis de Bnei-Jaakan ils vinrent camper à Hor-Gidgad.

33 And they removed from Chor-hagidgad, and encamped in Yotbathah.

Et partis de Hor-Gidgad ils vinrent camper à Jotbatha.

34 And they removed from Yotbathah, and encamped in 'Abronah.

Et partis de Jotbatha ils vinrent camper à Abrona.

35 And they removed from 'Abronah, and encamped at 'Ezyon-geber.

Et partis de Abrona ils vinrent camper à Etsion-Géber.

36 And they removed from 'Ezyon-geber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.

Et partis de Etsion-Géber ils vinrent camper dans le désert de Tsin: c'est Cadès.

37 And they removed from Kadesh, and encamped at mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.

Et partis de Cadès ils vinrent camper au mont Hor, sur la frontière du pays d'Edom.

38 And Aaron the priest went up on mount Hor by the order of the Lord, and died there, in the fortieth year after the going out of the children of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month.

C'est alors que le Prêtre Aaron monta sur le mont Hor, d'après l'ordre de l'Éternel, et qu'il y mourut la quarantième année après la sortie des enfants d'Israël hors du pays d'Egypte, le cinquième mois, le premier jour du mois;

39 And Aaron was a hundred and twenty and three years old when he died on mount Hor.

(or Aaron était âgé de cent vingt-trois ans, lorsqu'il mourut sur le mont Hor).

40 And the Canaanite the king of 'Arad, who dwelt on the south side in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

Et le Cananéen, Roi de Arad, établi dans le Midi du pays de Canaan entendit parler de l'arrivée des enfants d'Israël.

41 And they removed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.

Et étant partis du mont Hor ils vinrent camper à Tsalmona.

42 And they removed from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.

Et partis de Tsalmona ils vinrent camper à Punon.

43 And they removed from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.

Et partis de Punon ils vinrent camper à Oboth.

44 And they removed from Oboth, and encamped in 'Iye-ha'abarim, on the border of Moab.

Et partis d'Oboth ils vinrent camper à Jiim, à la frontière de Moab.

45 And they removed from Iyim, and encamped in Dibon-gad.

Et partis de Jiim ils vinrent camper à Dibon-Gad.

46 And they removed from Dibon-gad, and encamped in 'Almon-diblathaymah.

Et partis de Dibon-Gad ils vinrent camper à Almon-Diblathaïm.

47 And they removed from 'Almon-diblathaymah, and encamped on the mountains of 'Abarim, before Nebo.

Et partis de Almon-Diblathaïm ils vinrent camper aux monts Abarim devant le Nébo.

48 And they removed from the mountains of 'Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho.

Et partis des monts Abarim ils vinrent camper dans les plaines de Moab sur le Jourdain près de Jéricho.

49 And they encamped by the Jordan, from Beth-hayeshimoth even unto Abel-hashittim in the plains of Moab.

Et ils campèrent sur le Jourdain, de Beth-Jesimoth à Abel-Sittim dans les plaines de Moab.

50 And the Lord spoke unto Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho, saying,

Et l'Éternel parla à Moïse dans les plaines de Moab sur le Jourdain près de Jéricho, en ces termes:

51 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan:

Parle aux enfants d'Israël et dis-leur: Quand après le passage du Jourdain vous serez entrés dans le pays de Canaan,

52 Then shall ye drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and ye shall destroy all their statues, and all their molten images shall ye destroy, and devastate all their high places.

vous chasserez tous les habitants du pays devant vous, détruirez toutes leurs [pierres] figurées et détruirez toutes leurs images de fonte et raserez tous leurs tertres,

53 And ye shall drive out [the inhabitants of] the land, and ye shall dwell therein; for unto you have I given the land to possess it.

et vous occuperez le pays et vous y établirez, car je vous ai donné ce pays pour en prendre possession.

54 And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families; to the numerous shall ye give the more inheritance, and to the small in number shall ye give the less inheritance: there, where the lot designateth it for him, shall every one's possessions be; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye divide it among yourselves.

Et vous vous partagerez le pays au sort selon vos familles; aux plus nombreux vous adjugerez un lot plus étendu; aux moins nombreux, un lot plus restreint; l'emplacement échu par le sort à quelqu'un, c'est ce qu'il aura; vous vous le partagerez d'après vos Tribus patriarcales.

55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you: then shall it come to pass, that those whom ye will let remain of them shall be as thorns in your eyes, and as stings in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land wherein ye dwell.

Mais si vous ne chassez pas devant vous les habitants du pays, ceux d'entre eux que vous laisserez, deviendront des épines pour vos yeux, et des aiguillons dans vos flancs et ils vous mettront à la gêne dans le pays où vous serez établis.

56 And it shall come to pass, that as I purposed to do unto them, will I do unto you.

Et il arrivera que ce que j'avais résolu de leur faire, c'est à vous que je le ferai.
