Numbers 33

1 These are the journeys of the children of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt according to their armies, under the guidance of Moses and Aaron.

Ce sont ici les traittes des enfants d'Israël, qui sortirent du pays d'Egypte, selon leurs bandes, sous la conduite de Moïse et d'Aaron.

2 And Moses wrote their departures according to their journeys by the order of the Lord; and these are their journeys according to their departures.

Car Moïse écrivit leurs délogements, par leurs traittes, suivant le commandement de l'Eternel; ce sont donc ici leurs traittes selon leurs délogements.

3 And they set forward from Ra'meses in the first month; on the fifteenth day of the first month, on the morrow after the passover-sacrifice the children of Israel went out with a high hand before the eyes of all the Egyptians.

Les enfants d'Israël donc partirent de Rahmésès le quinzième jour du premier mois, dès le lendemain de la Pâque, et ils sortirent à main levée, à la vue de tous les Egyptiens.

4 And the Egyptians were burying all the first-born, whom the Lord had smitten among them; and upon their gods also did the Lord execute judgments.

Et les Egyptiens ensevelissaient ceux que l'Eternel avait frappés parmi eux, [savoir] tous les premiers-nés; même l'Eternel avait exercé ses jugements sur leurs dieux.

5 And the children of Israel removed from Ra'meses, and encamped in Succoth.

Et les enfants d'Israël étant partis de Rahmésès, campèrent à Succoth.

6 And they removed from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, which is on the edge of the wilderness:

Et étant partis de Succoth, ils campèrent à Etham, qui est au bout du désert.

7 And they removed from Etham, and returned unto Pi-hachiroth, which is before Ba'al-zephon; and they encamped before Migdol.

Et étant partis d'Etham, ils se détournèrent contre Pi-hahiroth, qui [est] vis-à-vis de Bahal-tséphon, et campèrent devant Migdol.

8 And they removed from before Pi-hachiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness; and they went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.

Et étant partis de devant Pi-hahiroth, ils passèrent au travers de la mer vers le désert, et firent trois journées de chemin par le désert d'Etham, et campèrent à Mara.

9 And they removed from Marah, and came unto Elim; and in Elim there were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm-trees; and they encamped there.

Et étant partis de Mara, ils vinrent à Elim, où il y avait douze fontaines d'eaux, et soixante et dix palmiers, et ils y campèrent.

10 And they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red Sea.

Et étant partis d'Elim, ils campèrent près de la mer Rouge.

11 And they removed from the Red Sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

Et étant partis de la mer Rouge, ils campèrent au désert de Sin.

12 And they removed from the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

Et étant partis du désert de Sin, ils campèrent à Dophka.

13 And they removed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.

Et étant partis de Dophka, ils campèrent à Alus.

14 And they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, and there was no water for the people to drink.

Et étant partis d'Alus, ils campèrent à Rephidim, où il n'y avait point d'eau à boire pour le peuple.

15 And they removed from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai.

Et étant partis de Rephidim, ils campèrent au désert de Sinaï.

16 And they removed from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped in Kibroth-hattaavah.

Et étant partis du désert de Sinaï, ils campèrent à Kibroth-taava.

17 And they removed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped in Chazeroth.

Et étant partis de Kibroth-taava, ils campèrent à Hatséroth.

18 And they removed from Chazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah.

Et étant partis de Hatséroth, ils campèrent à Rithma.

19 And they removed from Rithmah, and encamped in Rimmon-perez.

Et étant partis de Rithma, ils campèrent à Rimmon-pérets.

20 And they removed from Rimmon-perez, and encamped in Libnah.

Et étant partis de Rimmon-pérets, ils campèrent à Libna.

21 And they removed from Libnah, and encamped in Rissah.

Et étant partis de Libna, ils campèrent à Rissa.

22 And they removed from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah.

Et étant partis de Rissa, ils campèrent vers Kehélath.

23 And they removed from Kehelathah, and encamped in mount Shapher.

Et étant partis de devers Kehélath, ils campèrent en la montagne de Sépher.

24 And they removed from mount Shapher, and encamped in Charadah.

Et étant partis de la montagne de Sépher, ils campèrent à Harada.

25 And they removed from Charadah, and encamped in Makheloth.

Et étant partis de Harada, ils campèrent à Makheloth.

26 And they removed from Makheloth, and encamped in Tachath.

Et étant partis de Makheloth, ils campèrent à Tahath.

27 And they removed from Tachath, and encamped in Tarach.

Et étant partis de Tahath, ils campèrent à Térah.

28 And they removed from Tarach, and encamped in Mithkah.

Et étant partis de Térah, ils campèrent à Mithka.

29 And they removed from Mithkah, and encamped in Chashmonah.

Et étant partis de Mithka, ils campèrent à Hasmona.

30 And they removed from Chashmonah, and encamped in Mosseroth.

Et étant partis de Hasmona, ils campèrent à Moséroth.

31 And they removed from Mosseroth, and encamped in Bene-ya'akan.

Et étant partis de Moséroth, ils campèrent à Béné-jahakan.

32 And they removed from Bene-ya'akan, and encamped in Chor-hagidgad.

Et étant partis de Béné-jahakan, ils campèrent à Hor-guidgad.

33 And they removed from Chor-hagidgad, and encamped in Yotbathah.

Et étant partis de Hor-guidgad, ils campèrent vers Jotbath.

34 And they removed from Yotbathah, and encamped in 'Abronah.

Et étant partis de devant Jotbath, ils campèrent à Habrona.

35 And they removed from 'Abronah, and encamped at 'Ezyon-geber.

Et étant partis de Habrona, ils campèrent à Hetsjon-guéber.

36 And they removed from 'Ezyon-geber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.

Et étant partis de Hetsjon-guéber, ils campèrent au désert de Tsin, qui [est] Kadès.

37 And they removed from Kadesh, and encamped at mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.

Et étant partis de Kadès, ils campèrent en la montagne de Hor, [qui est] au bout du pays d'Edom.

38 And Aaron the priest went up on mount Hor by the order of the Lord, and died there, in the fortieth year after the going out of the children of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month.

Et Aaron le Sacrificateur monta sur la montagne de Hor, suivant le commandement de l'Eternel, et mourut là, en la quarantième année après que les enfants d'Israël furent sortis du pays d'Egypte, le premier jour du cinquième mois.

39 And Aaron was a hundred and twenty and three years old when he died on mount Hor.

Et Aaron était âgé de cent vingt-trois ans, quand il mourut sur la montagne de Hor.

40 And the Canaanite the king of 'Arad, who dwelt on the south side in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

Alors le Cananéen, Roi de Harad, qui habitait vers le Midi au pays de Canaan, apprit que les enfants d'Israël venaient.

41 And they removed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.

Et étant partis de la montagne de Hor, ils campèrent à Tsalmona.

42 And they removed from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.

Et étant partis de Tsalmona, ils campèrent à Punon.

43 And they removed from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.

Et étant partis de Punon, ils campèrent à Oboth.

44 And they removed from Oboth, and encamped in 'Iye-ha'abarim, on the border of Moab.

Et étant partis d'Oboth, ils campèrent à Hijé-habarim, sur les frontières de Moab.

45 And they removed from Iyim, and encamped in Dibon-gad.

Et étant partis de Hijim, ils campèrent à Dibon-gad.

46 And they removed from Dibon-gad, and encamped in 'Almon-diblathaymah.

Et étant partis de Dibon-gad, ils campèrent à Halmon vers Diblatajim.

47 And they removed from 'Almon-diblathaymah, and encamped on the mountains of 'Abarim, before Nebo.

Et étant partis de Halmon vers Diblatajim, ils campèrent aux montagnes de Habarim contre Nébo.

48 And they removed from the mountains of 'Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho.

Et étant partis des montagnes de Habarim, ils campèrent aux campagnes de Moab, près du Jourdain de Jéricho.

49 And they encamped by the Jordan, from Beth-hayeshimoth even unto Abel-hashittim in the plains of Moab.

Et ils campèrent près du Jourdain, depuis Beth-jésimoth jusqu'à Abel-Sittim, dans les campagnes de Moab.

50 And the Lord spoke unto Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho, saying,

Et l'Eternel parla à Moïse dans les campagnes de Moab, près du Jourdain de Jéricho, en disant:

51 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan:

Parle aux enfants d'Israël, et leur dis: Puisque vous allez passer le Jourdain [pour entrer] au pays de Canaan;

52 Then shall ye drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and ye shall destroy all their statues, and all their molten images shall ye destroy, and devastate all their high places.

Chassez de devant vous tous les habitants du pays, et détruisez toutes leurs peintures, ruinez toutes leurs images de fonte, et démolissez tous leurs hauts lieux.

53 And ye shall drive out [the inhabitants of] the land, and ye shall dwell therein; for unto you have I given the land to possess it.

Et rendez-vous maîtres du pays, et y habitez; car je vous ai donné le pays pour le posséder.

54 And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families; to the numerous shall ye give the more inheritance, and to the small in number shall ye give the less inheritance: there, where the lot designateth it for him, shall every one's possessions be; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye divide it among yourselves.

Or vous hériterez le pays par sort selon vos familles. A ceux qui sont en plus grand nombre, vous donnerez plus d'héritage; et à ceux qui sont en plus petit nombre, vous donnerez moins d'héritage; chacun aura selon qu'il lui sera échu par sort, et vous hériterez selon les Tribus de vos pères.

55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you: then shall it come to pass, that those whom ye will let remain of them shall be as thorns in your eyes, and as stings in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land wherein ye dwell.

Mais si vous ne chassez pas de devant vous les habitants du pays, il arrivera que ceux d'entr'eux que vous aurez laissés de reste, seront comme des épines à vos yeux, et comme des pointes à vos côtés, et ils vous serreront de près dans le pays auquel vous habiterez.

56 And it shall come to pass, that as I purposed to do unto them, will I do unto you.

Et il arrivera que je vous ferai tout comme j'ai eu dessein de leur faire.
