Numbers 31
1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
Ítem, Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo:
2 Execute the vengeance of the children of Israel on the Midianites, after which thou shalt be gathered unto thy people.
Haz la venganza de los hijos de Israel de los Madianitas, después serás recogido a tus pueblos.
3 And Moses spoke unto the people, saying, Arm from yourselves some men for the army, and let them go against the Midianites, to execute the vengeance of the Lord on Midian.
Entonces Moisés habló al pueblo, diciendo: Armáos algunos de vosotros para la guerra, y serán contra Madián y harán la venganza de Jehová en Madián.
4 A thousand each for every tribe, of all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the army.
Mil de cada tribu de todas las tribus de los hijos de Israel enviaréis a la guerra.
5 And there were levied out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for the army.
Así fueron dados de los millares de Israel mil por cada una tribu, doce mil a punto de guerra.
6 And Moses sent them, a thousand of every tribe, to the army; them and Phinehas the son of Elazar the priest, to the army, with the holy vessels, and the trumpets for blowing the alarm in his hand.
Y Moisés los envió a la guerra: mil de cada tribu envió, y Finees hijo de Eleazar sacerdote fue a la guerra, con los santos instrumentos, con las trompetas del júbilo en su mano.
7 And they marched out against the Midianites, as the Lord had commanded Moses; and they slew every male.
Y pelearon contra Madián, como Jehová lo mandó a Moisés, y mataron a todo varón.
8 And the kings of Midian they slew, besides the rest of their men that were slain; namely, Evi and Rekem, and Zur, and Chur, and Reba, the five kings of Midian; and Bil'am the son of Beor they slew with the sword.
Mataron también entre los que mataron de ellos a los reyes de Madián Evi, y Recem, y Sur, y Jur, y Rebe, cinco reyes de Madián: y a Balaam hijo de Beor mataron a cuchillo.
9 And the children of Israel took captives the women of Midian, and their little ones; and all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods, they took as spoil.
Y llevaron cautivas los hijos de Israel las mujeres de los Madianitas, y sus chiquitos, y todas sus bestias, y todos sus ganados, y robaron toda su hacienda.
10 And all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their castles they burnt with fire.
Y todas sus ciudades por sus habitaciones, y todos sus palacios quemaron a fuego.
11 And they took all the spoil, and all the booty, both of men and of cattle.
Y tomaron todo el despojo y toda la presa así de hombres como de bestias,
12 And they brought unto Moses, and to Elazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, the captives, and the booty, and the spoil, unto the camp, to the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan opposite Jericho.
Y trajéronlo a Moisés, y a Eleazar el sacerdote, y a la congregación de los hijos de Israel; los cautivos y la presa, y los despojos, al campo, en los llanos de Moab, que están junto al Jordán de Jericó.
13 And Moses, and Elazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them, to without the camp.
Y salieron Moisés, y Eleazar el sacerdote, y todos los príncipes de la congregación a recibirlos fuera del campo.
14 And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, the captains over the thousands, and the captains over the hundreds, who had come from the war-campaign.
Y Moisés se enojó contra los capitanes del ejército, los tribunos y centuriones que volvían de la guerra.
15 And Moses said unto them, Have ye allowed all the females to live?
Y díjoles Moisés: ¿Todas las mujeres habéis reservado?
16 Behold, these chiefly were the cause unto the children of Israel, through the counsel of Bil'am, to commit the gross trespass against the Lord in the matter of Peor; through which there was the plague among the congregation of the Lord.
He aquí, ellas fueron a los hijos de Israel por consejo de Balaam para dar prevaricación contra Jehová en el negocio de Pehor, por lo cual hubo mortandad en la congregación de Jehová.
17 And now kill ye every male among the little ones, and every woman that hath known man by lying with him shall ye kill.
Matád pues ahora a todos los varones en los niños: y a toda mujer que haya conocido varón en ayuntamiento de varón matád.
18 But all among the women-children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
Y todas las niñas entre las mujeres, que no hayan conocido ayuntamiento de varón, os guardaréis vivas.
19 But ye, —you must abide without the camp seven days: all ye who have killed any person, and all who have touched any one slain, shall purify yourselves on the third day, and on the seventh day; both you and your captives.
Y vosotros quedáos fuera del campo siete días: y todos los que mataren persona, y cualquiera que tocare a muerto, expiaros heis al tercero y al séptimo día, vosotros y vuestros cautivos.
20 And every garment, and whatever is made of skins, and every work of goats' hair, and every vessel made of wood, shall ye purify unto yourselves.
Y todo vestido, y toda alhaja de pieles, y toda obra de pelos de cabras, y todo vaso de madera expiaréis.
21 And Elazar the priest said unto the men of the army who had gone to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the Lord hath commanded Moses:
Y Eleazar el sacerdote dijo a los hombres de guerra, que venían de la guerra: Esta es la ordenanza de la ley que Jehová mandó a Moisés:
22 Nevertheless the gold, and the silver, the copper, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
Ciertamente el oro, y la plata, metal, hierro, estaño, y plomo,
23 Every thing that cometh into the fire shall ye make go through the fire, and it shall be clean; only it shall be purified with the waters of sprinkling: and whatsoever doth not come into the fire shall ye cause to go through the water.
Todo lo que entra en fuego haréis pasar por fuego, y será limpio; empero en las aguas de la expiación se alimpiará: mas todo lo que no entra en fuego, haréis pasar por agua.
24 And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and after that may ye come into the camp.
Demás de esto lavaréis vuestros vestidos el séptimo día, y así seréis limpios: y entraréis después en el campo.
25 And the Lord said unto Moses, as followeth,
Ítem, Jehová habló a Moisés diciendo:
26 Take the sum of the booty of the captives, both of man and of cattle, thou, with Elazar the priest, and the chiefs of the families of the congregation:
Toma la cuenta de la presa de la cautividad, así de los hombres como de las bestias, tú y Eleazar el sacerdote, y las cabezas de los padres de la congregación.
27 And thou shalt divide the booty, between those that carried on the war, who went out to the army, and between all the congregation.
Y partirás por medio la presa entre los que pelearon, los que salieron a la guerra, y toda la congregación.
28 And thou shalt levy a tribute unto the Lord from the men of war who went out to the army, one individual from every five hundred, of the persons, and of the beef-cattle, and of the asses, and of the sheep;
Y apartarás para Jehová el tributo de los hombres de guerra, que salieron a la guerra, de quinientos uno, así de los hombres como de los bueyes, de los asnos, y de las ovejas.
29 From their half shall ye take it; and thou shalt give it unto Elazar the priest, for a heave-offering of the Lord.
De la mitad de ellos tomaréis, y daréis a Eleazar el sacerdote la ofrenda de Jehová.
30 And from the half of the children of Israel, shalt thou take one individual, as it may come, from any fifty, of the persons, of beef-cattle, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of cattle; and thou shalt give the same unto the Levites, who keep the charge of the tabernacle of the Lord.
Y de la mitad de los hijos de Israel tomarás uno de cincuenta, de los hombres, de los bueyes, de los asnos, y de las ovejas, de todo animal, y darla has a los Levitas, que tienen la guarda del tabernáculo de Jehová.
31 And Moses with Elazar the priest did, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
E hizo Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote como Jehová mandó a Moisés.
32 And the booty, being the rest of the spoil which the men of the army had taken, was of sheep and goats, six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand,
Y fue la presa, el resto de la presa que tomaron los hombres de guerra, seiscientas y setenta y cinco mil ovejas,
33 And of beef-cattle, seventy and two thousand,
Y setenta y dos mil bueyes,
34 And of asses, sixty and one thousand,
Y sesenta y un mil asnos,
35 And of human persons, of women that had not known men by lying with him, in all thirty and two thousand.
Y personas de hombres, y de mujeres que no habían conocido ayuntamiento de varón, de todas personas, treinta y dos mil.
36 And the half, the portion of those who had gone out in the army, was, in the number of sheep and goats, three hundred thousand and seven and thirty thousand and five hundred.
Y fue la mitad, la parte de los que habían salido a la guerra, el número de las ovejas, trescientas y treinta y siete mil y quinientas.
37 And the tribute unto the Lord of the flocks was six hundred and seventy and five.
Y fue el tributo de Jehová de las ovejas, seiscientas y setenta y cinco.
38 And the beef-cattle were thirty and six thousand; and the tribute thereof unto the Lord was seventy and two.
Y de los bueyes, treinta y seis mil: y el tributo de ellos para Jehová, setenta y dos.
39 And the asses were thirty thousand and five hundred; and the tribute thereof unto the Lord was sixty and one.
Y de los asnos, treinta mil y quinientos: y el tributo de ellos para Jehová, sesenta y uno.
40 And the human persons were sixteen thousand; and the tribute thereof unto the Lord was thirty and two persons.
Y de las personas, diez y seis mil: y el tributo de ellas para Jehová, treinta y dos personas.
41 And Moses gave the tribute, the Lord's heave-offering, unto Elazar the priest, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Y dio Moisés, el tributo de la ofrenda de Jehová a Eleazar el sacerdote, como Jehová lo mandó a Moisés.
42 And from the half of the children of Israel, which Moses divided off from the men that had gone forth in the army, —
Y de la mitad de los hijos de Israel que partió Moisés de los hombres que habían ido a la guerra,
43 (Now the half of the congregation was, of sheep and goats three hundred thousand and thirty thousand, seven thousand and five hundred.
La mitad de la congregación fue, de las ovejas, trescientas y treinta y siete mil y quinientas:
44 And beef-cattle, thirty and six thousand,
Y de los bueyes, treinta y seis mil:
45 And asses thirty thousand five hundred,
Y de los asnos, treinta mil y quinientos:
46 And human persons sixteen thousand; )
Y de las personas, diez y seis mil.
47 And Moses took from this half of the children of Israel, as it came, one from every fifty, of man and of cattle, and gave the same unto the Levites, who kept the charge of the tabernacle of the Lord; as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Y de la mitad de los hijos de Israel Moisés tomó uno de cincuenta de los hombres y de las bestias, y dióla a los Levitas, que tenían la guarda del tabernáculo de Jehová, como Jehová lo había mandado a Moisés.
48 And there came near unto Moses the officers who had been over the thousands of the army, the captains of the thousands, and the captains of the hundreds.
Y llegaron a Moisés los capitanes de los millares de la guerra, los tribunos y centuriones,
49 And they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war who have been under our command, and there lacketh not one man of us.
Y dijeron a Moisés: Tus siervos han tomado la copia de los hombres de guerra que están en nuestro poder, y ninguno ha faltado de nosotros:
50 We have therefore brought an oblation unto the Lord, each what he hath gotten of vessels of gold, chains, and bracelets, finger-rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before the Lord.
Por lo cual hemos ofrecido a Jehová ofrenda cada uno de lo que ha hallado, vasos de oro, braceletes, manillas, anillos, zarcillos, y cadenas para reconciliar nuestras almas delante de Jehová.
51 And Moses with Elazar the priest took the gold from them, all kinds of wrought articles.
Y recibió Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote el oro de ellos, todos vasos obrados.
52 And all the gold of the offering that they offered up to the Lord, was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels, from the captains of the thousands, and from the captains of the hundreds.
Y fue todo el oro de la ofrenda que ofrecieron a Jehová diez y seis mil y sietecientos y cincuenta siclos, de los tribunos y centuriones.
53 The men of the army had taken spoil, every man for himself.
Porque los varones del ejército habían tomado despojos cada uno para sí.
54 And Moses and Elazar the priest took the gold from the captains of the thousands and of the hundreds, and they brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, as a memorial for the children of Israel before the Lord.
Y recibió Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote el oro de los tribunos y centuriones, y trajéronlo al tabernáculo del testimonio por memoria de los hijos de Israel delante de Jehová.
