Numbers 31
1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
Și DOMNUL i-a vorbit lui Moise, spunând:
2 Execute the vengeance of the children of Israel on the Midianites, after which thou shalt be gathered unto thy people.
Răzbună pe copiii lui Israel asupra madianiților; și după aceasta vei fi adunat la poporul tău.
3 And Moses spoke unto the people, saying, Arm from yourselves some men for the army, and let them go against the Midianites, to execute the vengeance of the Lord on Midian.
Și Moise a vorbit poporului, spunând: Înarmați-vă câțiva dintre voi pentru război și ei să meargă împotriva madianiților și să răzbune pe DOMNUL asupra lui Madian.
4 A thousand each for every tribe, of all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the army.
Din fiecare trib, prin toate semințiile lui Israel, să trimiteți o mie la război.
5 And there were levied out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for the army.
Astfel au fost aleși dintre miile lui Israel, o mie din fiecare trib, douăsprezece mii înarmați pentru război.
6 And Moses sent them, a thousand of every tribe, to the army; them and Phinehas the son of Elazar the priest, to the army, with the holy vessels, and the trumpets for blowing the alarm in his hand.
Și Moise i-a trimis la război, o mie dintre fiecare trib, pe ei și pe Fineas, fiul preotului Eleazar, la război, cu uneltele sfinte și trâmbițele de sunat în mâna sa.
7 And they marched out against the Midianites, as the Lord had commanded Moses; and they slew every male.
Și s-au războit împotriva madianiților, precum DOMNUL i-a poruncit lui Moise; și au ucis toată partea bărbătească.
8 And the kings of Midian they slew, besides the rest of their men that were slain; namely, Evi and Rekem, and Zur, and Chur, and Reba, the five kings of Midian; and Bil'am the son of Beor they slew with the sword.
Și au ucis pe împărații lui Madian, pe lângă restul celor uciși, adică pe Evi și pe Rechem și pe Țur și pe Hur și pe Reba, cinci împărați ai lui Madian, de asemenea l-au ucis cu sabia pe Balaam, fiul lui Beor.
9 And the children of Israel took captives the women of Midian, and their little ones; and all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods, they took as spoil.
Și copiii lui Israel au luat captive pe toate femeile lui Madian și pe micuții lor; și au luat ca jaf toate vitele lor și toate turmele lor și toate bunurile lor.
10 And all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their castles they burnt with fire.
Și au ars cu foc toate cetățile lor în care ei au locuit și toate cetățuile lor frumoase.
11 And they took all the spoil, and all the booty, both of men and of cattle.
Și au luat tot jaful și toată prada, deopotrivă din oameni și din animale.
12 And they brought unto Moses, and to Elazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, the captives, and the booty, and the spoil, unto the camp, to the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan opposite Jericho.
Și au adus captivii și prada și jaful la Moise și la preotul Eleazar și la adunarea copiilor lui Israel, la tabăra din câmpiile lui Moab, care sunt lângă Iordan aproape de Ierihon.
13 And Moses, and Elazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them, to without the camp.
Și Moise și preotul Eleazar și toți prinții adunării, au ieșit să îi întâmpine în afara taberei.
14 And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, the captains over the thousands, and the captains over the hundreds, who had come from the war-campaign.
Și Moise s-a înfuriat pe ofițerii oștirii, pe căpeteniile miilor și pe căpeteniile sutelor, care au venit de la bătălie.
15 And Moses said unto them, Have ye allowed all the females to live?
Și Moise le-a spus: Ați lăsat toate femeile în viață?
16 Behold, these chiefly were the cause unto the children of Israel, through the counsel of Bil'am, to commit the gross trespass against the Lord in the matter of Peor; through which there was the plague among the congregation of the Lord.
Iată, acestea au făcut pe copiii lui Israel, prin sfatul lui Balaam, să facă fărădelege împotriva DOMNULUI în lucrarea lui Peor, și a fost o plagă în mijlocul adunării DOMNULUI.
17 And now kill ye every male among the little ones, and every woman that hath known man by lying with him shall ye kill.
De aceea, ucide acum pe fiecare dintre micuții lor de parte bărbătească și ucide fiecare femeie care a cunoscut bărbat, culcându-se cu el.
18 But all among the women-children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
Dar toți copiii de parte femeiască, ce nu au cunoscut bărbat, culcându-se cu el, lăsați-i în viață pentru voi.
19 But ye, —you must abide without the camp seven days: all ye who have killed any person, and all who have touched any one slain, shall purify yourselves on the third day, and on the seventh day; both you and your captives.
Și oricine a ucis vreo persoană și oricine a atins pe cineva ucis să locuiască șapte zile în afara taberei; purificați-vă deopotrivă voi și captivii voștri în ziua a treia și în ziua a șaptea.
20 And every garment, and whatever is made of skins, and every work of goats' hair, and every vessel made of wood, shall ye purify unto yourselves.
Și purificați toate hainele voastre și tot ce este făcut din piei și tot lucrul din păr de capre și toate lucrurile făcute din lemn.
21 And Elazar the priest said unto the men of the army who had gone to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the Lord hath commanded Moses:
Și preotul Eleazar le-a spus bărbaților de război care au mers la bătălie: Aceasta este rânduiala legii pe care DOMNUL i-a poruncit-o lui Moise;
22 Nevertheless the gold, and the silver, the copper, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
Doar aurul și argintul, arama, fierul, cositorul și plumbul,
23 Every thing that cometh into the fire shall ye make go through the fire, and it shall be clean; only it shall be purified with the waters of sprinkling: and whatsoever doth not come into the fire shall ye cause to go through the water.
Fiecare lucru care suportă focul, să îl treceți prin foc și va fi curat, cu toate acestea va fi purificat cu apa separării; și tot ce nu suportă focul să îl treceți prin apă.
24 And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and after that may ye come into the camp.
Și să vă spălați hainele în ziua a șaptea și veți fi curați și după aceea să intrați în tabără.
25 And the Lord said unto Moses, as followeth,
Și DOMNUL i-a vorbit lui Moise, spunând:
26 Take the sum of the booty of the captives, both of man and of cattle, thou, with Elazar the priest, and the chiefs of the families of the congregation:
Fă numărătoarea prăzii care a fost luată, deopotrivă dintre oameni și dintre animale, tu și preotul Eleazar, împreună cu mai marii părinți ai adunării,
27 And thou shalt divide the booty, between those that carried on the war, who went out to the army, and between all the congregation.
Și împarte prada în două părți: între cei ce au dus războiul, care au ieșit la bătălie și între toată adunarea;
28 And thou shalt levy a tribute unto the Lord from the men of war who went out to the army, one individual from every five hundred, of the persons, and of the beef-cattle, and of the asses, and of the sheep;
Și ridică o taxă DOMNULUI de la oamenii de război care au ieșit la luptă, un suflet din cinci sute, deopotrivă dintre oameni și dintre boi și dintre măgari și dintre oi;
29 From their half shall ye take it; and thou shalt give it unto Elazar the priest, for a heave-offering of the Lord.
Ia acesta din jumătatea lor și să îl dai preotului Eleazar, ca ofrandă ridicată pentru DOMNUL.
30 And from the half of the children of Israel, shalt thou take one individual, as it may come, from any fifty, of the persons, of beef-cattle, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of cattle; and thou shalt give the same unto the Levites, who keep the charge of the tabernacle of the Lord.
Și din jumătatea care este a copiilor lui Israel, să iei o porție de cincizeci, dintre oameni, dintre boi, dintre măgari și din turme, din toate felurile de vite și să le dai leviților, care au păstrat însărcinarea tabernacolului DOMNULUI.
31 And Moses with Elazar the priest did, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Și Moise și preotul Eleazar au făcut precum DOMNUL i-a poruncit lui Moise.
32 And the booty, being the rest of the spoil which the men of the army had taken, was of sheep and goats, six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand,
Și jaful, adică restul prăzii pe care oamenii de război o apucaseră, era șase sute șaptezeci și cinci de mii de oi,
33 And of beef-cattle, seventy and two thousand,
Și șaptezeci și două de mii de boi,
34 And of asses, sixty and one thousand,
Și șaizeci și unu de mii de măgari,
35 And of human persons, of women that had not known men by lying with him, in all thirty and two thousand.
Și treizeci și două de mii de persoane cu totul, femei care nu cunoscuseră bărbat, culcându-se cu el.
36 And the half, the portion of those who had gone out in the army, was, in the number of sheep and goats, three hundred thousand and seven and thirty thousand and five hundred.
Și jumătatea, care era porția celor ce au ieșit să se războiască, era în număr de trei sute treizeci și șapte de mii cinci sute de oi;
37 And the tribute unto the Lord of the flocks was six hundred and seventy and five.
Și taxa DOMNULUI din oi a fost șase sute șaptezeci și cinci;
38 And the beef-cattle were thirty and six thousand; and the tribute thereof unto the Lord was seventy and two.
Și boii au fost treizeci și șase de mii; din care taxa DOMNULUI a fost șaptezeci și doi;
39 And the asses were thirty thousand and five hundred; and the tribute thereof unto the Lord was sixty and one.
Și măgarii au fost treizeci de mii cinci sute; din care taxa DOMNULUI a fost șaizeci și unu.
40 And the human persons were sixteen thousand; and the tribute thereof unto the Lord was thirty and two persons.
Și numărul persoanelor a fost șaisprezece mii; din care taxa DOMNULUI a fost treizeci și două de persoane.
41 And Moses gave the tribute, the Lord's heave-offering, unto Elazar the priest, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Și Moise a dat taxa DOMNULUI, care era ofranda ridicată pentru DOMNUL, preotului Eleazar, precum DOMNUL i-a poruncit lui Moise.
42 And from the half of the children of Israel, which Moses divided off from the men that had gone forth in the army, —
Și din jumătatea care era a copiilor lui Israel, pe care Moise a despărțit-o de la bărbații care s-au războit,
43 (Now the half of the congregation was, of sheep and goats three hundred thousand and thirty thousand, seven thousand and five hundred.
(Acum jumătatea ce aparținea adunării era de trei sute treizeci și șapte de mii cinci sute de oi,
44 And beef-cattle, thirty and six thousand,
Și treizeci și șase de mii de boi,
45 And asses thirty thousand five hundred,
Și treizeci de mii cinci sute de măgari,
46 And human persons sixteen thousand; )
Și șaisprezece mii de persoane; )
47 And Moses took from this half of the children of Israel, as it came, one from every fifty, of man and of cattle, and gave the same unto the Levites, who kept the charge of the tabernacle of the Lord; as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Chiar din jumătatea care era a copiilor lui Israel, Moise a luat o porție de cincizeci, deopotrivă dintre oameni și dintre animale și le-a dat leviților, care au păstrat însărcinarea tabernacolului DOMNULUI; precum DOMNUL i-a poruncit lui Moise.
48 And there came near unto Moses the officers who had been over the thousands of the army, the captains of the thousands, and the captains of the hundreds.
Și ofițerii care erau peste miile oștirii, căpeteniile miilor și căpeteniile sutelor, s-au apropiat de Moise,
49 And they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war who have been under our command, and there lacketh not one man of us.
Și i-au spus lui Moise: Servitorii tăi au făcut numărătoarea bărbaților de război care sunt sub porunca noastră și nu lipsește niciun bărbat dintre noi.
50 We have therefore brought an oblation unto the Lord, each what he hath gotten of vessels of gold, chains, and bracelets, finger-rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before the Lord.
De aceea am adus un dar pentru DOMNUL, din ce a dobândit fiecare bărbat, din bijuterii de aur, lanțuri, brățări, inele, cercei și tăblițe, pentru a face ispășire pentru sufletele noastre înaintea DOMNULUI.
51 And Moses with Elazar the priest took the gold from them, all kinds of wrought articles.
Și Moise și preotul Eleazar au luat aurul de la ei, toate bijuteriile lucrate.
52 And all the gold of the offering that they offered up to the Lord, was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels, from the captains of the thousands, and from the captains of the hundreds.
Și tot aurul ofrandei pe care l-au oferit DOMNULUI, de la căpeteniile miilor și de la căpeteniile sutelor, a fost de șaisprezece mii șapte sute cincizeci de șekeli.
53 The men of the army had taken spoil, every man for himself.
(Pentru că bărbații de război prădaseră, fiecare bărbat pentru el însuși.)
54 And Moses and Elazar the priest took the gold from the captains of the thousands and of the hundreds, and they brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, as a memorial for the children of Israel before the Lord.
Și Moise și preotul Eleazar au luat aurul de la căpeteniile miilor și ai sutelor și l-au adus în tabernacolul întâlnirii, drept amintire pentru copiii lui Israel înaintea DOMNULUI.
