Numbers 27
1 And there came nigh the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Chepher, the son of Gil'ad, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Menasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters, Machlah, No'ah, and Choglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
És odaléptek Celofchod leányai, aki Chéfer fia, Gileád fia, Mochir fia, Menásse fia, Menásse József fia családjából volt, ezek pedig leányainak nevei: Máchlo, Nóo, Choglo, Milko és Tirco,
2 And they stood before Moses, and before Elazar the priest, and before the princes, and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,
és megálltak Mózes előtt és Eleázár, a pap előtt és a fejedelmek meg az egész község előtt, a gyülekezés sátorának bejáratánál, mondván:
3 Our father died in the wilderness; but he was not among the company of those that gathered themselves together against the Lord in the company of Korach; but in his own sin he died, and sons he had not.
Atyánk meghalt a pusztában, ő azonban nem volt ama község között, mely összegyűlt az Örökkévaló ellen, Kórách községében, hanem saját vétke által halt meg, fiai pedig nem voltak.
4 Why should the name of our father be done away from the midst of his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us a possession among the brothers of our father.
Miért vesszen ki atyánk neve családja köréből, mivelhogy nincs fia? Adj nekünk örökséget atyáink fivérei között.
5 And Moses brought their cause before the Lord.
És Mózes odavitte ügyüket az Örökkévaló színe elé.
6 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
És szólt az Örökkévaló Mózeshez, mondván:
7 The daughters of Zelophehad speak rightly: thou shalt indeed give them a possession as an inheritance among the brothers of their father; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.
Helyesen beszélnek Celofchod leányai; adj is nekik örök birtokot atyjuk fivérei között és származtasd át atyjuk birtokát rájuk.
8 And unto the children of Israel shalt thou speak, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then shall ye cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.
Izrael fiaihoz pedig szólj, mondván: Ha valaki meghal és fia nincs, akkor származtassátok át birtokát leányára.
9 And if he have no daughter, then shall ye give his inheritance unto his brothers.
Ha pedig leánya nincs, akkor adjátok birtokát fivéreinek.
10 And if he have no brothers, then shall ye give his inheritance unto his father's brothers.
Ha pedig nincsenek fivérei, akkor adjátok birtokát atyja fivéreinek.
11 And if his father have no brothers, then shall ye give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall inherit it; and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of justice, as the Lord hath commanded Moses.
Ha pedig atyjának nincsenek fivérei, akkor adjátok birtokát vérrokonának, aki a legközelebbi hozzá családjából és az örökölje azt. És legyen ez Izrael fiai számára a jognak törvénye gyanánt, amint parancsolta az Örökkévaló Mózesnek.
12 And the Lord said unto Moses, Go thou up unto this mount of 'Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.
És mondta az Örökkévaló Mózesnek: Menj föl erre az Ábárim hegyére és nézd meg az országot, melyet Izrael fiainak adtam.
13 And when thou hast seen it, then shalt thou also be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother hath been gathered.
És miután megnézted, akkor el fogsz takaríttatni népedhez te is, amint eltakaríttatott Áron, a te testvéred;
14 Because ye rebelled against my order in the desert of Zin, at the quarreling of the congregation, to sanctify me through the waters before their eyes: these are the waters of Meribah in Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin.
mivelhogy ellenszegültek parancsomnak Cin pusztájában a község pörlekedésénél, hogy megszenteltetek volna a víznél szemük láttára. Az a pörlekedés vize Kádesnél, Cin pusztájában.
15 And Moses spoke unto the Lord, saying,
És szólt Mózes az Örökkévalóhoz, mondván:
16 Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,
Rendeljen az Örökkévaló, minden test szellemének Istene, férfiút a község fölé,
17 Who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in; that the congregation of the Lord be not as a flock which have no shepherd.
aki kivonuljon előttük és aki bemenjen előttük, aki kivezesse őket és aki bevezesse őket, hogy ne legyen az Örökkévaló községe, mint juhok, melyeknek nincs pásztoruk.
18 And the Lord said unto Moses, Take to thyself Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom there is a spirit, and thou shalt lay thy hand upon him;
És mondta az Örökkévaló Mózesnek: Vedd Józsuát, Nún fiát, a férfiút, kiben szellem van és tedd kezedet őrá;
19 And thou shalt cause him to stand before Elazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and thou shalt give him a charge before their eyes.
állítsd őt Eleázár, a pap elé és az egész község elé és adj neki parancsot az ő szemük láttára.
20 And thou shalt put some of thy greatness upon him; in order that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.
Tégy a te fenségedből rá, hogy hallgasson rá Izrael fiainak egész községe.
21 And before Elazar the priest shall he stand, and he shall ask of him after the judgment of the Urim before the Lord: at his direction shall they go out, and at his direction shall they come in, he, and all the children of Israel with him, and all the congregation.
És Eleázár, a pap előtt álljon és az kérdezze meg számára az Urim ítéletét az Örökkévaló színe előtt; az ő parancsára vonuljanak ki, az ő parancsára menjenek be, ő és Izrael minden fiai vele, meg az egész község.
22 And Moses did, as the Lord had commanded him; and he took Joshua, and caused him to stand before Elazar the priest, and before all the congregation;
Mózes pedig úgy cselekedett, amint az Örökkévaló parancsolta neki; vette Józsuát és odaállította őt Eleázár, a pap elé, meg az egész község elé;
23 And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge: as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses.
ő pedig rátette kezeit és parancsot adott neki, amint szólt az Örökkévaló Mózes által.
