Numbers 16
1 Now Korach, the son of Yizhar, the son of Kehath, the son of Levi, was presumptuous, together with Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben:
ಆಗ ಲೇವಿಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕೊಹಾತನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗ ಇಚ್ಹಾರನ ಮಗ ಕೋರಹನೂ ರೂಬೇನ್ ಗೋತ್ರದವರಾದ ಎಲೀಯಾಬನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ದಾತಾನನೂ ಅಬೀರಾಮನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಪೆಲೆತನ ಮಗನಾದ ಓನನೂ ಜನರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು
2 So that they rose up before Moses, with certain men of the children of Israel, in number two hundred and fifty; [who were] princes of the congregation, called to the assembly, men of renown.
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಸಭೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಾಗಿಯೂ ಸಭೆಯ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧರಾಗಿಯೂ ಹೆಸರು ಹೊಂದಿದವರಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ಇನ್ನೂರ ಐವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದರು.
3 And they assembled themselves against Moses, and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye assume too much; for the whole of the congregation are all of them holy, and the Lord is among them; wherefore then will you lift yourselves up above the congregation of the Lord?
ಅವರು ಮೋಶೆಗೂ, ಆರೋನನಿಗೂ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು, “ನೀವು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅಧಿಕಾರ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರಿ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಈ ಸಮೂಹದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೀವೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಏಕೆ?” ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೇಳಿದರು.
4 And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:
ಮೋಶೆಯು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, ಬೋರಲು ಬಿದ್ದು,
5 And he spoke unto Korach and unto all his company, saying, Tomorrow, —then will the Lord make known who is his, and who is holy, that he may cause them to come near unto him; and him whom he shall choose will he cause to come near unto him.
ಕೋರಹನಿಗೂ, ಅವನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಮೂಹಕ್ಕೂ, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬರಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ತನ್ನವರು ಯಾರಾರೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಯಾರು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನಾಳೆ ತೋರಿಸುವರು. ಅವರು ಯಾರನ್ನು ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರೋ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬರಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ನೀವು ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿರಿ:
6 This do ye: Take yourselves censers, Korach and all his company;
ಕೋರಹನೂ, ಅವನ ಸಮೂಹವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಧೂಪ ಸುಡುವ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು,
7 And put therein fire, and put upon them incense before the Lord, tomorrow; and it shall be that the man whom the Lord will choose, he shall be the holy one; you assume too much, ye sons of Levi.
ನಾಳೆ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ, ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹಾಕಿರಿ. ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಯಾವನನ್ನು ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರೋ ಅವನೇ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವನು. ಲೇವಿಯರೇ, ನೀವು ಬಹಳ ಮಿತಿಮೀರಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು.
8 And Moses said unto Korach, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:
ಮೋಶೆಯು ಕೋರಹನಿಗೆ, “ಲೇವಿಯ ಪುತ್ರರೇ, ಈಗ ಕೇಳಿರಿ.
9 It is too little for you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near unto himself, to do the service of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the congregation to minister for them?
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಗುಡಾರದ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಸಮೂಹದ ಮುಂದೆ ಇರುವ ಅವರ ಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬರಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೊಳಗಿಂದಲೇ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಿದ್ದು, ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಲ್ಪವಾಗಿ ತೋರಿತೋ?
10 And he hath brought thee near, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and now will ye seek the priesthood also?
ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಲೇವಿಯ ಪುತ್ರರಾದ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬರಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನೀವು ಯಾಜಕತ್ವವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತೀರೋ?
11 For which cause [beware], thou and all thy company that are gathered together against the Lord; for Aaron, what is he, that ye should murmur against him:
ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ನೀನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಗುಂಪು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರಿ. ನೀವು ಆರೋನನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಗೊಣಗುಟ್ಟುವುದು ಯಾಕೆ?” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
12 And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab; but they said, We will not come up:
ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆ ಎಲೀಯಾಬನ ಪುತ್ರರಾದ ದಾತಾನನನ್ನೂ, ಅಬೀರಾಮನನ್ನೂ ಕರೆಯಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು, “ನಾವು ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
13 Is it too little that thou hast brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, that thou wilt assume to make thyself also a prince over us?
ನೀನು ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಾಯಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಲೂ ಜೇನೂ ಹರಿಯುವ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೊರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದದ್ದು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಾಕಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನೀನು ಅರಸನಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆಳಬೇಕೋ?
14 Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, and thou hast not given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou bore out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.
ಅಷ್ಟುಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ, ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಾಲೂ ಜೇನೂ ಹರಿಯುವ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೊಲಗಳನ್ನೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿತೋಟಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಮಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಮಣ್ಣು ಹಾಕಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದೀಯೋ? ನಾವು ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ!” ಎಂದರು.
15 And this displeased Moses greatly, and he said unto the Lord, Have no respect unto their offering: I have not taken away an ass of any one of them, nor have I done wrong to any one of them.
ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಕೋಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ, “ಅವರ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ಗೌರವಿಸಬೇಡಿ, ನಾನು ಅವರಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಕತ್ತೆಯನ್ನಾದರೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗಾದರೂ ಕೇಡು ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
16 And Moses said unto Korach, Thou and all thy company, be ye before the Lord, thou, and they, and Aaron, tomorrow:
ಮೋಶೆಯು ಕೋರಹನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಮೂಹವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಬೇಕು. ನೀನೂ, ಅವರೂ, ಆರೋನನೂ ನಾಳೆ ಬಂದು,
17 And take ye every man his censer, and put incense upon them, and bring ye near before the Lord every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each his censer.
ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ಧೂಪ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ, ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಒಂದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಇನ್ನೂರ ಐವತ್ತು ಧೂಪ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳಾದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಧೂಪ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ತನ್ನಿರಿ. ನೀನೂ, ಆರೋನನೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಧೂಪದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ನಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು.
18 And they took every man his censer, and put fire on them, and laid incense thereupon; and they stood at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.—
ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಧೂಪ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ, ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿ, ದೇವದರ್ಶನ ಗುಡಾರದ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನ ಮುಂದೆ ಮೋಶೆ ಆರೋನರ ಸಂಗಡ ನಿಂತರು.
19 And Korach assembled against them all the congregation unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation; and the glory of the Lord then appeared unto all the congregation.
ಕೋರಹನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ದೇವದರ್ಶನ ಗುಡಾರದ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಕೂಡಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಹಿಮೆಯು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಮೂಹಕ್ಕೆ ತೋರಿಬಂತು.
20 And the Lord spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮೋಶೆ ಆರೋನನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ,
21 Separate yourselves from the midst of this congregation, and I will make an end of them in a moment.
“ಈ ಜನರ ಮಧ್ಯದೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಣಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ದಹಿಸಿಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
22 And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, this one man doth sin, and with all the congregation wouldst thou be wroth!
ಆಗ ಅವರು ಬೋರಲು ಬಿದ್ದು, “ದೇವರೇ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾನವರ ಆತ್ಮಗಳ ದೇವರೇ, ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಪಾಪದ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ನೀವು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಭೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರೋ?” ಎಂದರು.
23 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ,
24 Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you away from about the dwelling of Korach, Dathan, and Abiram.
“ನೀನು ಜನರ ಸಮೂಹಕ್ಕೆ, ‘ಕೋರಹ, ದಾತಾನ್, ಅಬೀರಾಮರ ನಿವಾಸದ ಸುತ್ತಲಿಂದ ದೂರವಿರಬೇಕು,’ ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸು,” ಎಂದರು.
25 And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and there went after him the elders of Israel.
ಮೋಶೆಯು ಎದ್ದು ದಾತಾನ್, ಅಬೀರಾಮರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಹಿರಿಯರು ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋದರು.
26 And he spoke unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing which belongeth to them, lest ye be destroyed through all their sins.
ಅವನು ಸಮೂಹದವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಈ ದುಷ್ಟ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಡೇರೆಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಹೋಗಿರಿ. ನೀವು ಅವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ನಾಶವಾಗದಂತೆ ಅವರಿಗಿರುವ ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಬೇಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು.
27 So they got away from the dwelling of Korach, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, standing [boldly] at the door of their tents, with their wives, and their sons, and their little ones.
ಆಗ ಅವರು ಕೋರಹನ ದಾತಾನ್, ಅಬೀರಾಮರ ಡೇರೆಗಳ ಸುತ್ತಲಿಂದ ದೂರ ಹೋದರು. ದಾತಾನನೂ, ಅಬೀರಾಮನೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರೂ, ಪುತ್ರರೂ, ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಗುಡಾರಗಳ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡರು.
28 And Moses said, Through this shall ye know that the Lord hath sent me to do all these deeds; that [I have] not done them out of my own heart.
ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು, “ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅವುಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳಂತೆ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನೀವು ಇದರಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.
29 If these men die as all men die, and if the visitation of all men be visited on them: then hath the Lord not sent me.
ಇವರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಹಾಗೆ ಸತ್ತರೆ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ಇವರಿಗೂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತವಾದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
30 But if the Lord do create a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertaineth unto them, and they go down alive into the pit: then shall ye understand that these men have provoked the Lord. (Sheol h7585)
ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೊಸದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ, ಭೂಮಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿತೆರೆದು, ಇವರನ್ನೂ, ಇವರಿಗಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲದನ್ನೂ ನುಂಗಿ, ಇವರು ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿ ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ರೇಗಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ನೀವು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು. (Sheol h7585)
31 And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground that was under them was cloven asunder:
ಅವನು ಹೇಳ ಬೇಕಾದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೇಳಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದಾಗಲೇ, ಅವರ ಕೆಳಗಿರುವ ನೆಲವು ಸೀಳಿ
32 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korach, and all their goods.
ಭೂಮಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿತೆರೆದು, ಅವರನ್ನೂ, ಅವರ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕೋರಹನಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಸಕಲ ಜನರನ್ನೂ, ಅವರಿಗಿದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು.
33 And they went down, they, and all they that appertained to them, alive into the pit; and the earth closed over them, and they disappeared from the midst of the congregation. (Sheol h7585)
ಅವರು ತಮಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವುಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಜೀವಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದರು. ಭೂಮಿಯು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡಿತು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಸಭೆಯ ಮಧ್ಯದೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಾಶವಾದರು. (Sheol h7585)
34 And all Israel that were round about them fled at their cry; for they said, Perhaps the earth may swallow us up [also].
ಆಗ ಅವರ ಸುತ್ತಲಿದ್ದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು, “ಭೂಮಿಯು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಹ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟೀತು,” ಎಂದು ಹೆದರಿದರು.
35 And there came out a fire from the Lord, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that had offered the incense.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಹೊರಟು, ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಇನ್ನೂರ ಐವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ದಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು.
36 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ,
37 Speak unto Elazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he lift up the censers out of the burning, and throw out the fire far away; for they have been hallowed:
“ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಆರೋನನ ಮಗ ಎಲಿಯಾಜರನಿಗೆ, ಧೂಪದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಹೋದವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ಅವನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಬೇಕು. ಆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ದೂರ ಚೆಲ್ಲು.
38 The censers of these sinners against their own lives; and they shall make of them broad plates for a covering for the altar; for they brought them near before the Lord, and they have thus become hallowed; and they shall serve for a sign unto the children of Israel.
ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಧೂಪದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚತಕ್ಕ ಅಗಲವಾದ ತಗಡುಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದವುಗಳು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಅವು ಗುರುತುಗಳಾಗಿರಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದರು.
39 And Elazar the priest took the copper censers, which they that were burnt had brought near; and they beat them out for a covering unto the altar:
ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಲಿಯಾಜರನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೇಳಿದ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸುಟ್ಟು ಹೋದವರು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಕಂಚಿನ ಧೂಪದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಗಲವಾದ ತಗಡುಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
40 As a memorial unto the children of Israel, in order that no stranger, who is not of the seed of Aaron, should come near to burn incense before the Lord; that he become not as Korach, and as his company; as the Lord had spoken to him by the hand of Moses.
ಆರೋನನ ಸಂತಾನವಲ್ಲದ ಪರಕೀಯನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಬಾರದು, ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರೆ ಕೋರಹ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಸಮೂಹಕ್ಕೆ ಆದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯೇ ಇವರಿಗೂ ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅದು ಗುರುತಾಯಿತು.
41 And all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron, on the morrow, saying, It is you who have caused the people of the Lord to die.
ಆದರೆ ಮರುದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಸಮೂಹವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಆರೋನನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಗೊಣಗುಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾ, “ನೀವು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದ್ದೀರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
42 And it came to pass, when the congregation assembled against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation, and, behold, the cloud covered it; and the glory of the Lord appeared.
ಜನರು ಮೋಶೆಗೂ ಆರೋನನಿಗೂ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ, ಅವರು ದೇವದರ್ಶನ ಗುಡಾರದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನೋಡಲಾಗಿ, ಮೇಘವು ಅದನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಹಿಮೆಯು ಕಾಣಬಂತು.
43 And Moses came with Aaron before the tabernacle of the congregation.
ಮೋಶೆಯೂ ಆರೋನನೂ ದೇವದರ್ಶನ ಗುಡಾರದ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದರು.
44 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ,
45 Remove yourselves from the midst of this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.
“ನೀನು ಈ ಜನರ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಬಾ. ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಣಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ದಹಿಸಿಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದರು. ಆಗ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರು ಬೋರಲು ಬಿದ್ದರು.
46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take the censer, and put therein fire from off the altar, and put on incense, and carry [it] quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them; for the wrath is gone forth from the Lord; the plague hath begun.
ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆರೋನನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಧೂಪದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು, ಧೂಪ ಹಾಕಿ, ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ಮಾಡು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಿಂದ ಕೋಪವು ಹೊರಟು, ಅವರೊಳಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು,” ಎಂದನು.
47 And Aaron took as Moses had commanded, and he ran into the midst of the assembly; and, behold, the plague had begun among the people: and he put on the incense, and made an atonement for the people.
ಆರೋನನು, ಮೋಶೆಯು ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಜನಸಮೂಹದ ಮಧ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿಬಂದನು. ಆಗ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯು ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವನು ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು, ಜನರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.
ಅವನು ಸತ್ತವರಿಗೂ ಜೀವವುಳ್ಳವರಿಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯು ಶಮನವಾಯಿತು.
49 And those who died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, besides those that had died about the matter of Korach.
ಕೋರಹನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಸತ್ತು ಹೋದವರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತವರು ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕು ಸಾವಿರ ಏಳು ನೂರು ಮಂದಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
50 And Aaron returned unto Moses, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, after the plague had been stayed.
ಆ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯು ನಿಂತು ಹೋದಾಗ ಆರೋನನು ದೇವದರ್ಶನ ಗುಡಾರದ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದನು.
