Numbers 15
1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
Le Seigneur dit alors à Moïse:
2 Speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them, When ye shall have come into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you,
Parle aux fils d'Israël, et dis-leur: Lorsque vous serez entrés en la terre que je vous donne pour que vous l'habitiez,
3 And ye will prepare a fire-offering unto the Lord, a burnt-offering, or a sacrifice, in performing a pronounced vow, or as a freewill-offering, or on your solemn feasts, to prepare a sweet savor unto the Lord, of the herds of the flocks:
Et que parmi vos bœufs ou vos menus troupeau vous sacrifierez au Seigneur des holocaustes ou des hosties pacifiques, soit pour accomplir un vœu, soit volontairement, où bien afin de répandre dans vos fêtes une odeur de suavité pour le Seigneur;
4 Then shall he that bringeth his offering unto the Lord, bring as a meat-offering a tenth part of fine flour mingled with the fourth of a hin of oil.
Celui qui fera ce don au Seigneur, présentera en même temps en oblation un décime d'éphi de fleur de farine pétrie dans un quart de mesure d'huile.
5 And wine for a drink-offering, the fourth of a hin, shalt thou prepare with the burnt-offering or sacrifice, for each one sheep.
Et vous donnerez un quart de mesure de vin pour la libation sur l'holocauste ou sur l'hostie; voilà ce qu'il faudra donner par agneau; c'est le sacrifice d'odeur de suavité pour le Seigneur.
6 But for a ram, shalt thou prepare as a meat-offering two tenth parts of fine flour mingled with the third of a hin of oil.
Et si vous sacrifiez un bélier en holocauste ou comme hostie pacifique, l'oblation sera de deux décimes d'éphi de fleur de farine pétrie dans un tiers de mesure d'huile.
7 And wine for the drink-offering, the third of a hin, shalt thou bring, for a sweet savor unto the Lord.
Et vous présenterez un tiers de mesure de vin pour la libation, afin qu'elle répande une odeur de suavité devant le Seigneur.
8 And when thou preparest a bullock for a burnt-offering, or for a sacrifice, in performing a pronounced vow, or a peace-offering unto the Lord:
Si vous sacrifiez une tête prise parmi vos bœufs, soit en holocauste, soit pour l'accomplissement d'un vœu, soit comme hostie pacifique,
9 Then shall he bring with the bullock as a meat-offering, three tenth parts of fine flour mingled with half a hin of oil.
Vous présenterez en outre une oblation de trois décimes de fleur de farine pétrie dans une demi-mesure d'huile,
10 And wine shalt thou bring for a drink-offering, half a hin, as a fire-offering of a sweet savor unto the Lord.
Et une demi-mesure de vin pour la libation: et le sacrifice répandra une odeur de suavité devant le Seigneur.
11 Thus shall it be done for each one bullock, or for each one ram, or for a lamb, be it of the sheep or of the goats.
Vous ferez ainsi pour chaque veau, pour chaque bélier, pour chaque agneau, pour chaque tête prise parmi les brebis ou les chèvres.
12 According to the number that ye may prepare, so shall ye do to every one according to their number.
Quel que soit le nombre des victimes que vous sacrifierez, voilà ce que vous ferez pour chacune;
13 All that are born in the country shall do these things after this manner, in offering a fire-offering of a sweet savor unto the Lord.
Tout indigène fera ainsi ses offrandes, afin que vos sacrifices soient en odeur de suavité devant le Seigneur.
14 And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever may be among you in your generations, and will make an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the Lord: as ye do, so shall he do.
Et si un prosélyte est venu demeurer avec vous en votre terre, ou s'il est né parmi vous en vos familles, il offrira les sacrifices d'odeur de suavité au Seigneur, de la même manière que vous; ainsi fera pour le Seigneur la synagogue tout entière.
15 Congregation! one statute shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth: a statute for ever in your generations; as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the Lord.
Il n'y aura qu'une loi pour vous et pour les prosélytes demeurant parmi vous; c'est une loi perpétuelle en toutes vos générations; le prosélyte sera comme vous devant le Seigneur. Il n'y aura qu'une loi, qu'une justice pour vous et pour le prosélyte demeurant parmi vous.
16 One law and one code shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.
Le Seigneur dit encore à Moïse:
17 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
Parle aux fils d'Israël, et dis-leur:
18 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you:
Pendant que vous entrerez en la terre où je vous conduis,
19 Then shall it be, that, when ye eat of the bread of the land, ye shall set aside a heave-offering unto the Lord.
Lorsque vous mangerez des pains de cette terre, vous mettrez à part une offrande, qui sera la portion du Seigneur,
20 As the first of your doughs shall ye set aside a cake for a heave-offering; like the heave-offering of the threshing-floor, so shall ye set this aside.
Prémices de vos pâtes; vous mettrez à part, comme offrande, le pain provenant de ces prémices, de même que l'offrande des aires; vous emporterez le pain qui sera
21 Of the first of your doughs shall ye give unto the Lord a heave-offering, in your generations.
Prémices de vos pâtes, et vous le donnerez au Seigneur; ce sera son offrande durant toutes vos générations.
22 And if ye err, and do not observe all these commandments, which the Lord hath spoken unto Moses,
Mais, si vous n'exécutez point tous les ordres que le Seigneur a donnés à Moïse,
23 All that the Lord hath commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that the Lord commanded [the same] and thenceforward, among your generations:
Et qu'il vous a transmis par la voix de ce dernier; si vous y manquez, à partir du jour où vous les avez reçus et à l'avenir, en toutes vos générations,
24 Then shall it be, if, through inadvertence of the congregation, it was committed by ignorance, that all the congregation shall prepare one young bullock for a burnt-offering, for a sweet savor unto the Lord, with his meat-offering, and his drink-offering, according to the prescribed manner, and one he-goat for a sin-offering.
Si la faute a été commise involontairement à l'insu de la synagogue, le peuple entier sacrifiera un veau sans tache, pris parmi les bœufs, en holocauste, en odeur de suavité pour le Seigneur, avec son oblation et sa libation selon la règle, et en outre un bouc pris parmi les chèvres, pour le péché.
25 And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven unto them; for it is [a sin of] ignorance; and they have brought their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the Lord, and their sin-offering before the Lord, for their [sin of] ignorance:
Et le prêtre intercèdera pour toute la synagogue des fils d'Israël; et la faute leur sera remise, parce qu'elle aura été involontaire, et qu'ils auront apporté leur offrande et fait un sacrifice au Seigneur pour le péché et le délit.
26 And it shall be forgiven unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them; for by all the people [was it done] in ignorance.
Et la faute sera remise à toute la synagogue des fils d'Israël; elle sera pareillement remise au prosélyte demeurant parmi vous, parce que pour tout le peuple elle aura été involontaire.
27 And if any person sin through ignorance, then shall he bring a she-goat of the first year for a sin-offering.
Si une âme seule a péché involontairement, elle offrira une chèvre d'un an pour le péché.
28 And the priest shall make an atonement for the person that hath erred, in his sinning through ignorance before the Lord; to make an atonement for him, that it may be forgiven unto him.
Et le prêtre priera pour cette âme négligente qui aura péché involontairement devant le Seigneur, afin de lui rendre le Seigneur favorable.
29 For the native born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them: —one law shall be for you, for him that acteth through ignorance.
Il n'y aura qu'une loi pour l'indigène des fils d'Israël, et pour le prosélyte demeurant avec eux, lorsqu'ils auront péché involontairement.
30 But the person that doth aught with a high hand, be he one born in the land, or a stranger, the same dishonoreth the Lord; and that person shall be cut off from among his people.
Tout indigène ou prosélyte qui de lui-même pèchera par orgueil et irritera Dieu, sera exterminé au milieu du peuple,
31 Because the word of the Lord hath he despised, and his commandment hath he broken; that person shall be cut off, his iniquity is upon him.
Car il aura méprisé la parole du Seigneur, et rendu vains les commandements; il sera broyé, et son péché sera en lui.
32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks upon the sabbath-day.
Comme les fils d'Israël étaient dans le désert, ils virent un homme qui ramassait du bois le jour du sabbat.
33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him for judgment unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
Ceux qui le trouvèrent ramassant du bois le jour du sabbat, le conduisirent devant Moïse, Aaron et toute la synagogue d'Israël,
34 And they put him in ward; because it had not been declared what should be done to him.
Et on le mit en prison; car ils n'avaient point décidé ce qu'ils lui feraient.
35 And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
Alors, le Seigneur parla à Moïse, disant: Que cet homme meure de mort, que toute la synagogue le lapide.
36 And all the congregation brought him forth to without the camp, and they stoned him with stones, and he died; as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Toute la synagogue le mena donc hors du camp, et le lapida, comme le Seigneur l'avait prescrit à Moïse.
37 And the Lord said unto Moses, as followeth,
Le Seigneur dit ensuite à Moïse:
38 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say to them, that they shall make themselves fringes on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and that they shall put upon the fringe of the corner a thread of blue:
Parle aux fils d'Israël, et dis-leur: Faites des franges aux bords de vos manteaux, en toutes vos générations, ajoutez à la frange un effilé couleur d'hyacinthe;
39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them; and that ye seek not after [the inclination of] your own heart and [the delight of] your eyes, in pursuit of which ye have been led astray.
Cet effilé sera mêlé aux franges, vous l'aurez sous les yeux, et vous vous souviendrez des commandements du Seigneur, vous les observerez et vous ne vous laisserez pas pervertir par vos mauvaises pensées, ni par des yeux qui vous feraient tomber dans la fornication.
40 In order that ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
Vous vous souviendrez de mes commandements et vous les mettrez en pratique, et vous serez saints pour votre Dieu.
41 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.
Je suis le Seigneur votre Dieu qui vous ai tirés de la terre d'Egypte pour être votre Dieu; je suis le Seigneur votre Dieu.
