Numbers 10
1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
Habló Yahvé a Moisés, diciendo:
2 Make unto thyself two trumpets of silver, beaten out of one piece shalt thou make them; and they shall serve thee for the calling of the congregation, and for the setting forward of the camps.
“Hazte dos trompetas de plata; las harás de plata labrada a martillo; te servirán para convocar la Congregación y para levantar el campamento.
3 And when they shall blow with both, all the congregation shall assemble themselves unto thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Cuando ellas suenen, se reunirá contigo toda la Congregación a la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión.
4 And if they blow with but one, then shall assemble themselves unto thee the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel.
Cuando se toque una sola, se reunirán contigo los príncipes, las cabezas de los millares de Israel.
5 And when ye blow an alarm, then shall set forward the camps that encamp on the east side.
Mas cuando tocareis alarma, se pondrán en marcha los acampados al oriente.
6 And when ye blow an alarm the second time, then shall set forward the camps that encamp on the south side: an alarm shall they blow for their setting forward.
Y al segundo toque de alarma se pondrán en marcha los acampados al mediodía. Para cada levantamiento del campo tocaréis la trompeta de alarma.
7 But at the assembling of the assembly, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.
Para convocar la Asamblea, tocaréis (también), pero sin alarma.
8 And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.
Los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes serán los que toquen las trompetas. Esto os será ley perpetua durante vuestras generaciones.
9 And if ye go to war in your land against the oppressor that oppresseth you, then shall ye blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
Cuando en vuestra tierra salgáis a campaña contra el enemigo que os oprime, tocaréis alarma con las trompetas; y Yahvé, vuestro Dios, se acordará de vosotros, y seréis salvados de vuestros enemigos.
10 And on the day of your gladness, and on your appointed festivals, and on the beginnings of your months, shall ye blow with the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the Lord your God.
También en vuestros días de alegría, en vuestras fiestas y neomenias tocaréis las trompetas sobre vuestros holocaustos y sobre vuestros sacrificios pacíficos, y ellas os servirán de recuerdo ante vuestro Dios. Yo soy Yahvé, vuestro Dios.”
11 And it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.
El año segundo, el día veinte del segundo mes, se alzó la nube de encima del Tabernáculo del Testimonio.
12 And the children of Israel set forward on their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud halted in the wilderness of Paran.
Y los hijos de Israel partieron del desierto del Sinaí, marchando jornada tras jornada, hasta que la nube se paró en el desierto de Farán.
13 And they set forward for the first time at the order of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
Esta fue la primera vez que los hijos de Israel se pusieron en marcha conforme a la orden que Yahvé había dado a Moisés.
14 And the standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward at the first, according to their armies: and over their host was Nachshon the son of 'Amminadab.
La bandera del campamento de los hijos de Judá con sus escuadrones fue la primera en moverse; al frente de sus tropas estaba Naasón, hijo de Aminadab.
15 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar.
El ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Isacar estaba al mando de Natanael, hijo de Suar;
16 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Chelon.
y el ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Zabulón al mando de Eliab, hijo de Helón.
17 And [in the mean time] the tabernacle was taken down; and then set forward the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, the bearers of the tabernacle.
Después de desarmada la Morada se pusieron en marcha los hijos de Gersón y los hijos de Merarí, llevando la Morada.
18 Then set forward the standard of the camp of Reuben, according to their armies: and over their host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.
Luego se puso en marcha la bandera del campamento de Rubén, según sus escuadrones. Jefe de sus tropas era Elisur, hijo de Sedeur.
19 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
El ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Simeón estaba al mando de Selumiel, hijo de Surisadai;
20 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Elyassaph the son of Deuel.
y el ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Gad al mando de Eliasaf, hijo de Deuel.
21 And then set forward the Kehathites, the bearers of the sanctuary: and the others set up the tabernacle against they came.
Después se pusieron en marcha los caatitas, llevando el Santuario, y cuando ellos llegaron, (los anteriores) habían levantado ya la Morada.
22 Then set forward the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim according to their armies; and over their host was Elishama the son of 'Ammihud.
Luego se puso en marcha la bandera del campamento de los hijos de Efraím, según sus escuadrones. Jefe de sus tropas era Elisamá, hijo de Amiud.
23 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Menasseh was Gamliel the son of Pedahzur.
El ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Manasés estaba al mando de Gamaliel, hijo de Pedasur;
24 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gidoni.
y el ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Benjamín al mando de Abidán, hijo de Gedeoní.
25 Then set forward the standard of the camp of the children of Dan, the rereward of all the camps, according to their hosts: and over their host was Achiezer the son of 'Ammishaddai.
Después se puso en marcha, según sus escuadrones, la bandera del campamento de los hijos de Dan, que formaba la retaguardia de todos los campamentos. Jefe de sus tropas era Ahiéser, hijo de Amisadai.
26 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of 'Ochran.
El ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Aser estaba al mando de Pagiel, hijo de Ocrán;
27 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Achira the son of 'Enan.
y el ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Neftalí al mando de Ahirá, hijo de Enán.
28 In this order were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.
Este era el orden de la marcha de los hijos de Israel, según sus escuadrones, cuando levantaban el campamento.
29 And Moses said unto Chobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, the father-in-law of Moses, We are journeying unto the place of which the Lord hath said, This will I give unto you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good; for the Lord hath spoken [to bring] good upon Israel.
Dijo Moisés a Hobab, hijo de Ragüel madianita, suegro de Moisés: “Nosotros partimos para llegar al lugar del cual Yahvé ha dicho: Yo os lo daré. Ven con nosotros y te haremos bien; pues Yahvé ha prometido felicidad a Israel.”
30 And he said unto him, I will not go; but to my own land, and to my birthplace will I go.
Él le respondió: “No iré, sino que volveré a mi tierra y al lugar donde nací.”
31 And he said, Do not, I pray thee, leave us; since thou didst find out the places where we were to encamp in the wilderness, and thou hast been to us instead of eyes.
A lo cual contestó (Moisés): “No quieras abandonarnos, porque conociendo tú los lugares donde podemos acampar en el desierto, podrás servirnos de ojo.
32 And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that the same goodness which the Lord may do unto us, will we do unto thee.
Si vienes con nosotros, te haremos el mismo bien que Yahvé nos hiciere a nosotros.
33 And they set forward from the mount of the Lord a three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them in the three days' journey, to search out for them a resting-place.
Partieron, pues, del monte de Yahvé, y caminaron tres días. Durante tres días el Arca de la Alianza de Yahvé iba delante de ellos, para buscarles un lugar de descanso.
34 And the cloud of the Lord was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.
La nube de Yahvé estaba sobre ellos de día desde que levantaron el campamento.
35 And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let thy enemies be scattered; and let those that hate thee flee before thy face.
Cuando el Arca se ponía en marcha, decía Moisés: “¡Levántate, Yahvé, y sean disipados tus enemigos! Y huyan de tu presencia los que te aborrecen.”
36 And when it rested, he said, Return, O Lord, among thy myriads of the thousands of Israel.
Y cuando ella se posaba, decía: “¡Vuélvete, Yahvé, a las miríadas de las tribus de Israel!”
