Numbers 10

1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,

Και ελάλησε Κύριος προς τον Μωϋσήν, λέγων,

2 Make unto thyself two trumpets of silver, beaten out of one piece shalt thou make them; and they shall serve thee for the calling of the congregation, and for the setting forward of the camps.

Κάμε εις σεαυτόν δύο σάλπιγγας αργυράς· σφυρηλάτους θέλεις κάμει αυτάς, και θέλουσιν είσθαι εις σε διά να συγκαλής την συναγωγήν, και να βάλλης εις κίνησιν τα στρατόπεδα.

3 And when they shall blow with both, all the congregation shall assemble themselves unto thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Και όταν σαλπίζωσι δι' αυτών, πάσα η συναγωγή θέλει συναθροίζεσθαι προς σε εις την θύραν της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου.

4 And if they blow with but one, then shall assemble themselves unto thee the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel.

Εάν δε σαλπίσωσι διά μιας μόνης, τότε θέλουσι συναθροίζεσθαι προς σε οι άρχοντες, οι αρχηγοί των χιλιάδων του Ισραήλ.

5 And when ye blow an alarm, then shall set forward the camps that encamp on the east side.

Και όταν σαλπίζητε αλαλαγμόν, τότε θέλουσι σηκόνεσθαι τα στρατόπεδα τα εστρατοπεδευμένα προς ανατολάς.

6 And when ye blow an alarm the second time, then shall set forward the camps that encamp on the south side: an alarm shall they blow for their setting forward.

Και όταν σαλπίζητε αλαλαγμόν δεύτερον, τότε θέλουσι σηκόνεσθαι τα στρατόπεδα τα εστρατοπεδευμένα προς νότον· θέλουσι σαλπίζει αλαλαγμόν διά να σηκωθώσι.

7 But at the assembling of the assembly, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.

Όταν δε συγκαλήται η συναγωγή, θέλετε σαλπίζει, ουχί όμως αλαλαγμόν.

8 And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.

Και οι υιοί του Ααρών, οι ιερείς, θέλουσι σαλπίζει διά των σαλπίγγων· και ταύτα θέλουσιν είσθαι εις εσάς νόμιμον αιώνιον εις τας γενεάς σας.

9 And if ye go to war in your land against the oppressor that oppresseth you, then shall ye blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

Και εάν εξέλθητε εις μάχην εν τη γη υμών κατά του εχθρού του πολεμούντος εναντίον υμών, τότε θέλετε σαλπίζει αλαλαγμόν διά των σαλπίγγων και θέλετε ελθεί εις ενθύμησιν ενώπιον Κυρίου του Θεού υμών και θέλετε διασωθή εκ των εχθρών υμών.

10 And on the day of your gladness, and on your appointed festivals, and on the beginnings of your months, shall ye blow with the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the Lord your God.

Και εις τας ημέρας της ευφροσύνης υμών και εις τας εορτάς υμών, και εις τας νεομηνίας υμών θέλετε σαλπίζει διά των σαλπίγγων επί των ολοκαυτωμάτων υμών και επί των θυσιών των ειρηνικών προσφορών υμών, και θέλουσιν είσθαι εις υμάς προς ενθύμησιν ενώπιον του Θεού υμών. Εγώ είμαι Κύριος ο Θεός υμών.

11 And it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.

Και την εικοστήν του δευτέρου μηνός του δευτέρου έτους ανέβη η νεφέλη από της σκηνής του μαρτυρίου.

12 And the children of Israel set forward on their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud halted in the wilderness of Paran.

Και εσηκώθησαν οι υιοί Ισραήλ κατά την τάξιν της οδοιπορίας αυτών από της ερήμου Σινά, και εστάθη η νεφέλη εν τη ερήμω Φαράν.

13 And they set forward for the first time at the order of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

Και εσηκώθησαν πρώτον, καθώς προσέταξε Κύριος διά χειρός του Μωϋσέως.

14 And the standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward at the first, according to their armies: and over their host was Nachshon the son of 'Amminadab.

Και πρώτη εσηκώθη η σημαία του στρατοπέδου των υιών Ιούδα, κατά τα τάγματα αυτών, και επί του στρατεύματος αυτού ήτο Ναασσών ο υιός του Αμμιναδάβ.

15 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar.

Και επί του στρατεύματος της φυλής των υιών Ισσάχαρ ήτο Ναθαναήλ ο υιός του Σουάρ.

16 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Chelon.

Και επί του στρατεύματος της φυλής των υιών Ζαβουλών, Ελιάβ ο υιός του Χαιλών.

17 And [in the mean time] the tabernacle was taken down; and then set forward the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, the bearers of the tabernacle.

Και κατεβίβασαν την σκηνήν· και οι υιοί Γηρσών και οι υιοί Μεραρί εσηκώθησαν, βαστάζοντες την σκηνήν.

18 Then set forward the standard of the camp of Reuben, according to their armies: and over their host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.

Έπειτα εσηκώθη σημαία του στρατοπέδου του Ρουβήν κατά τα τάγματα αυτών, και επί του στρατεύματος αυτού ήτο Ελισούρ ο υιός του Σεδιούρ.

19 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

Και επί του στρατεύματος της φυλής των υιών Συμεών ήτο Σελουμιήλ ο υιός του Σουρισαδαΐ.

20 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Elyassaph the son of Deuel.

Και επί του στρατεύματος της φυλής των υιών Γαδ ήτο Ελιασάφ ο υιός του Δεουήλ.

21 And then set forward the Kehathites, the bearers of the sanctuary: and the others set up the tabernacle against they came.

Και οι Κααθίται εσηκώθησαν, βαστάζοντες τα άγια, και οι άλλοι έστηνον την σκηνήν εωσού αυτοί φθάσωσι.

22 Then set forward the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim according to their armies; and over their host was Elishama the son of 'Ammihud.

Έπειτα εσηκώθη η σημαία του στρατοπέδου των υιών Εφραΐμ, κατά τα τάγματα αυτών, και επί του στρατεύματος αυτού ήτο Ελισαμά ο υιός του Αμμιούδ.

23 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Menasseh was Gamliel the son of Pedahzur.

Και επί του στρατεύματος της φυλής των υιών Μανασσή ήτο Γαμαλιήλ ο υιός του Φεδασσούρ.

24 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gidoni.

Και επί του στρατεύματος της φυλής των υιών Βενιαμίν ήτο Αβειδάν ο υιός του Γιδεωνί.

25 Then set forward the standard of the camp of the children of Dan, the rereward of all the camps, according to their hosts: and over their host was Achiezer the son of 'Ammishaddai.

Έπειτα εσηκώθη η σημαία του στρατοπέδου των υιών Δαν κατόπιν πάντων των στρατοπέδων κατά τα τάγματα αυτών, και επί του στρατεύματος αυτού ήτο Αχιέζερ ο υιός του Αμμισαδαΐ.

26 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of 'Ochran.

Και επί του στρατεύματος της φυλής των υιών Ασήρ ήτο Φαγαιήλ ο υιός του Οχράν.

27 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Achira the son of 'Enan.

Και επί του στρατεύματος της φυλής των υιών Νεφθαλί ήτο Αχιρά ο υιός του Αινάν.

28 In this order were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.

Ούτως εγίνετο η οδοιπορία των υιών Ισραήλ κατά τα τάγματα αυτών, ότε εσηκόνοντο.

29 And Moses said unto Chobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, the father-in-law of Moses, We are journeying unto the place of which the Lord hath said, This will I give unto you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good; for the Lord hath spoken [to bring] good upon Israel.

Και είπεν ο Μωϋσής προς τον Οβάβ, υιόν του Ραγουήλ του Μαδιανίτου, πενθερού του Μωϋσέως, Ημείς υπάγομεν εις τον τόπον περί του οποίου είπεν ο Κύριος, Τούτον θέλω δώσει εις εσάς· ελθέ μεθ' ημών και θέλομεν σε αγαθοποιήσει επειδή ο Κύριος ελάλησεν αγαθά περί του Ισραήλ.

30 And he said unto him, I will not go; but to my own land, and to my birthplace will I go.

Και είπε προς αυτόν, δεν θέλω ελθεί αλλά θέλω επιστρέψει εις την γην μου και εις την γενεάν μου.

31 And he said, Do not, I pray thee, leave us; since thou didst find out the places where we were to encamp in the wilderness, and thou hast been to us instead of eyes.

Και είπε, Μη μας αφήσης, παρακαλώ, επειδή συ γνωρίζεις που πρέπει να στρατοπεδεύωμεν εν τη ερήμω και θέλεις είσθαι εις ημάς αντί οφθαλμών·

32 And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that the same goodness which the Lord may do unto us, will we do unto thee.

και εάν έλθης μεθ' ημών, τα αγαθά εκείνα, τα οποία θέλει κάμει εις ημάς ο Κύριος, τα αυτά θέλομεν κάμει και ημείς εις σε.

33 And they set forward from the mount of the Lord a three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them in the three days' journey, to search out for them a resting-place.

Και ώδοιπόρησαν από του όρους του Κυρίου οδόν τριών ημερών· και η κιβωτός της διαθήκης του Κυρίου προεπορεύετο έμπροσθεν αυτών οδόν τριών ημερών, διά να ζητήση τόπον αναπαύσεως δι' αυτούς.

34 And the cloud of the Lord was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.

Και η νεφέλη του Κυρίου ήτο επάνωθεν αυτών την ημέραν, ότε εσηκόνοντο από του στρατοπέδου.

35 And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let thy enemies be scattered; and let those that hate thee flee before thy face.

Και ότε εσηκόνετο η κιβωτός, έλεγεν ο Μωϋσής, Ανάστα, Κύριε, και διασκορπισθήτωσαν οι εχθροί σου και φυγέτωσαν οι μισούντές σε από προσώπου σου.

36 And when it rested, he said, Return, O Lord, among thy myriads of the thousands of Israel.

Και ότε ανεπαύετο, έλεγεν, Επίστρεψον, Κύριε, εις τας χιλιάδας των μυριάδων του Ισραήλ.
