Numbers 10
1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
HERREN talede fremdeles til Moses og sagde:
2 Make unto thyself two trumpets of silver, beaten out of one piece shalt thou make them; and they shall serve thee for the calling of the congregation, and for the setting forward of the camps.
Du skal lave dig to Sølvtrompeter; i drevet Arbejde skal du lave dem. Dem skal du bruge, naar Menigheden skal kaldes sammen, og naar Lejrene skal bryde op.
3 And when they shall blow with both, all the congregation shall assemble themselves unto thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Naar der blæses i dem begge to, skal hele Menigheden samle sig hos dig ved Indgangen til Aabenbaringsteltet.
4 And if they blow with but one, then shall assemble themselves unto thee the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel.
Blæses der kun i den ene, skal Øversterne, Overhovederne for Israels Stammer, samle sig hos dig.
5 And when ye blow an alarm, then shall set forward the camps that encamp on the east side.
Naar I blæser Alarm med dem, skal Lejrene paa Østsiden bryde op;
6 And when ye blow an alarm the second time, then shall set forward the camps that encamp on the south side: an alarm shall they blow for their setting forward.
blæser Alarm anden Gang, skal Lejrene paa Sydsiden bryde op: tredje Gang skal Lejrene mod Vest bryde op, fjerde Gang Lejrene mod Nord; der skal blæses Alarm, naar de skal bryde op.
7 But at the assembling of the assembly, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.
Men naar Forsamlingen skal sammenkaldes skal I blæse paa almindelig Vis, ikke Alarm.
8 And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.
Arons Sønner, Præsterne, skal blæse i Trompeterne; det skal være eder en evig gyldig Anordning fra Slægt til Slægt.
9 And if ye go to war in your land against the oppressor that oppresseth you, then shall ye blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
Naar I drager i Krig i eders Land mod en Fjende, der angriber eder, og blæser Alarm med Trompeterne, skal I ihukommes for HERREN eders Guds Aasyn og frelses fra eders Fjender.
10 And on the day of your gladness, and on your appointed festivals, and on the beginnings of your months, shall ye blow with the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the Lord your God.
Og paa eders Glædesdage, eders Højtider og Nymaanedage, skal I blæse i Trompeterne ved eders Brændofre og Takofre; saa skal de tjene eder til Ihukommelse for eders Guds Aasyn. Jeg er HERREN eders Gud!
11 And it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.
Den tyvende Dag i den anden Maaned af det andet Aar løftede Skyen sig fra Vidnesbyrdets Bolig.
12 And the children of Israel set forward on their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud halted in the wilderness of Paran.
Da brød Israeliterne op fra Sinaj Ørken, i den Orden de skulde bryde op i, og Skyen stod stille i Parans Ørken.
13 And they set forward for the first time at the order of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
Da de nu første Gang brød op efter Guds Bud ved Moses,
14 And the standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward at the first, according to their armies: and over their host was Nachshon the son of 'Amminadab.
var Judæernes Lejr den første, der brød op under sit Felttegn, Hærafdeling for Hærafdeling; deres Hær førtes af Nahasjon, Amminadabs Søn.
15 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar.
Issakariternes Stammes Hær førtes af Netan'el, Zuars Søn,
16 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Chelon.
og Zebuloniternes Stammes Hær af Eliab, Helons Søn.
17 And [in the mean time] the tabernacle was taken down; and then set forward the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, the bearers of the tabernacle.
Da derpaa Boligen var taget ned, brød Gersoniterne og Merariterne op og bar Boligen.
18 Then set forward the standard of the camp of Reuben, according to their armies: and over their host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.
Saa brød Rubens Lejr op under sit Felttegn, Hærafdeling for Hærafdeling; deres Hær førtes af Elizur, Sjede'urs Søn.
19 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
Simeoniternes Stammes Hær førtes af Sjelumiel, Zurisjaddajs Søn,
20 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Elyassaph the son of Deuel.
og Gaditernes Stammes Hær af Eljasaf, De'uels Søn.
21 And then set forward the Kehathites, the bearers of the sanctuary: and the others set up the tabernacle against they came.
Saa brød Kehatiterne, der bar de hellige Ting, op; og før deres Komme havde man rejst Boligen.
22 Then set forward the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim according to their armies; and over their host was Elishama the son of 'Ammihud.
Saa brød Efraimiternes Lejr op under sit Felttegn, Hærafdeling for Hærafdeling; deres Hær førtes af Elisjama, Ammihuds Søn.
23 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Menasseh was Gamliel the son of Pedahzur.
Manassiternes Stammes Hær førtes af Gamliel, Pedazurs Søn,
24 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gidoni.
og Benjaminiternes Stammes Hær af Abidan, Gid'onis Søn.
25 Then set forward the standard of the camp of the children of Dan, the rereward of all the camps, according to their hosts: and over their host was Achiezer the son of 'Ammishaddai.
Saa brød Daniternes Lejr op under sit Felttegn som Bagtrop i hele Lejrtoget, Hærafdeling for Hærafdeling; deres Hær førtes af Ahiezer, Ammisjaddajs Søn.
26 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of 'Ochran.
Aseriternes Stammes Hær førtes af Pag'iel, Okrans Søn,
27 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Achira the son of 'Enan.
og Naftaliternes Stammes Hær af Ahira, Enans Søn.
28 In this order were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.
Saaledes foregik Israeliternes Opbrud, Hærafdeling for Hærafdeling. Saa brød de da op.
29 And Moses said unto Chobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, the father-in-law of Moses, We are journeying unto the place of which the Lord hath said, This will I give unto you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good; for the Lord hath spoken [to bring] good upon Israel.
Men Moses sagde til Midjaniten Hobab, Re'uels Søn, Moses's Svigerfader: »Vi bryder nu op for at drage til det Sted, HERREN har lovet at give os; drag med os! Vi skal lønne dig godt, thi HERREN har stillet Israel gode Ting i Udsigt.«
30 And he said unto him, I will not go; but to my own land, and to my birthplace will I go.
Men han svarede ham: »Jeg vil ikke drage med; nej, jeg drager til mit Land og min Slægt.«
31 And he said, Do not, I pray thee, leave us; since thou didst find out the places where we were to encamp in the wilderness, and thou hast been to us instead of eyes.
Da sagde han: »Forlad os ikke! Du kender jo de Steder, hvor vi kan slaa Lejr i Ørkenen; vær Øje for os!
32 And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that the same goodness which the Lord may do unto us, will we do unto thee.
Drager du med os, skal vi give dig Del i alt det gode, HERREN vil give os.«
33 And they set forward from the mount of the Lord a three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them in the three days' journey, to search out for them a resting-place.
Derpaa brød de op fra HERRENS Bjerg og vandrede tre Dagsrejser frem, idet HERRENS Pagts Ark drog i Forvejen for at søge dem et Sted, hvor de kunde holde Hvil.
34 And the cloud of the Lord was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.
Og HERRENS Sky svævede over dem om Dagen, naar de brød op fra Lejren.
35 And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let thy enemies be scattered; and let those that hate thee flee before thy face.
Og hver Gang Arken brød op, sagde Moses: »Staa op, HERRE, at dine Fjender maa splittes og dine Avindsmænd fly for dit Aasyn!«
36 And when it rested, he said, Return, O Lord, among thy myriads of the thousands of Israel.
Og hver Gang den standsede, sagde han: »Vend tilbage, HERRE, til Israels Stammers Titusinder!«
