Nehemiah 7
1 And it came to pass, when the wall was built, that I set up the doors; and then were appointed the gatekeepers and the singers and the [other] Levites [to their office].
І сталося, як був збудо́ваний мур, то повставля́в я двері, і були понаста́влювані придве́рні, співаки́ та Левити.
2 And I gave my brother Chanani, and Chananyah the commander of the fortress, charge over Jerusalem; for he was esteemed a faithful man, and one that feared God these many days.
І призна́чив я над Єрусалимом свого брата Ханані та зверхника тверди́ні Хананію, бо він був чоловік правдивий, і Бога боявся більше від багатьох інших.
3 And I said unto them, The gates of Jerusalem must not be opened until the sun be hot; and while ye stand by, let them shut the doors, and do ye bar them; and station watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one opposite to his house.
І сказав я до них: „Нехай не відчиня́ються єрусалимські брами аж до спе́ки сонця. І поки вони самі стоять, нехай позамика́ють двері, і так тримайте. І поста́вити ва́рти з єрусалимських ме́шканців, кожного на його сторожі, і кожного навпроти його дому!“
4 But the city was roomy in space and large: while the people therein were few, and the houses were not yet built.
А місто було широко-просто́ре й велике, та народу в ньо́му мало, і доми не були побудо́вані.
5 Then did my God put it into my heart, and I assembled together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might give in their genealogy; and I found a register of the genealogy of those who were come up at the first, and I found written therein:
І поклав мені Бог мій на серце моє зібрати шляхе́тних, і заступників та наро́д, щоб переписати. І знайшов я книжку пе́репису тих, хто прийшов перше, а в ній я знайшов написане таке:
6 These arc the children of the province, that came up out of the captivity of the exiles, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried into exile, and who returned to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his own city;
Оце вихо́дьки з округи, що прийшли з поло́ну вигна́ння, яких вигнав був Навуходоно́сор, цар вавилонський, і вони повернулися до Єрусалиму та до Юдеї, кожен до міста свого,
7 Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua', Nehemiah, 'Azaryah, Ra'amyah, Nachamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Misspereth, Bigvai, Nechum, Ba'anah. The number of the men of the people of Israel was:
ті, що прийшли були з Зоровавелем, Ісусом, Неемією, Азарією, Раамією, Нахаманієм, Мордехаєм, Білшаном, Місперетом, Біґваєм, Нехумом, Бааною. Число людей Ізраїлевого наро́ду:
8 The children of Par'osh, two thousand one hundred and seventy and two.
синів Пар'ошових — дві тисячі сто й сімдеся́т і два,
9 The children of Shephatyah, three hundred seventy and two.
синів Шеватіїних — три сотні і сімдесят і два,
10 The children of Arach, six hundred fifty and two.
синів Арахових — шість сотень п'ятдеся́т і два,
11 The children of Pachath-moab, of the children of Jeshua' and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.
синів Пахат-Моавових, із синів Ісусових та Йоавових — дві тисячі й вісім сотень вісімнадцять,
12 The children of 'Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty and four.
синів Еламових — тисяча двісті п'ятдеся́т і чотири,
13 The children of Zatthu, eight hundred forty and five.
синів Заттуєвих — вісім сотень сорок і п'ять,
14 The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty.
синів Заккаєвих — сім сотень і шістдеся́т,
15 The children of Binnui, six hundred forty and eight.
синів Біннуєвих — шість сотень сорок і вісім,
16 The children of Bebai, six hundred twenty and eight.
синів Беваєвих — шість сотень двадцять і вісім,
17 The children of 'Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty and two.
синів Азґадових — дві тисячі три сотні двадцять і два,
18 The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and seven.
синів Адонікамових — шість сотень шістдеся́т і сім,
19 The children of Bigvai, two thousand sixty and seven.
синів Біґваєвих — дві тисячі шістдесят і сім,
20 The children of 'Adin, six hundred fifty and five.
синів Адінових — шість сотень п'ятдеся́т і п'ять,
21 The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety and eight.
синів Атерових, — з синів Хізкійїних — дев'ятдеся́т і вісім,
22 The children of Chashum, three hundred twenty and eight.
синів Хашумових — три сотні двадцять і вісім,
23 The children of Bezai, three hundred twenty and four.
синів Бецаєвих — три сотні двадцять і чотири,
24 The children of Chariph, one hundred and twelve.
синів Харіфових — сто дванадцять,
25 The children of Gib'on, ninety and five.
синів Ґів'онових — дев'ятдеся́т і п'ять,
26 The men of Beth-lechem and Netophah, one hundred eighty and eight.
людей з Віфлеєму та Нетофи — сто вісімдеся́т і вісім,
27 The men of 'Anathoth, one hundred twenty and eight.
людей з Анототу — сто двадцять і вісім,
28 The men of Beth-'azmaveth, forty and two.
людей з Бет-Азмавету — сорок і два,
29 The men of Kiryath-ye'arim, Kephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty and three.

30 The men of Ramah and Gaba', six hundred twenty and one,
людей з Рами та Ґави — шість сотень двадцять і один,
31 The men of Michmass, one hundred twenty and two.
людей з Міхмасу — сто двадцять і два,
32 The men of Beth-el and 'Ai, one hundred twenty and three.
людей з Бет-Елу та Аю — сто двадцять і три,
33 The men of the other Nebo, fifty and two.
людей з Нево Другого — п'ятдеся́т і два,
34 The children of the other 'Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty and four.
вихо́дьків з Еламу Другого — тисяча двісті п'ятдесят і чотири,
35 The children of Charim, three hundred and twenty.
виходьків з Харіму — три сотні й двадцять,
36 The people of Jericho, three hundred forty and five.
виходьків з Єрихону — три сотні сорок і п'ять,
37 The people of Lod, Chadid, and Ono, seven hundred and twenty and one.
виходьків з Лоду, Хадіду й Оно — сім сотень і двадцять і один,
38 The people of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.
вихо́дьків з Сенаї — три тисячі дев'ять сотень і тридцять.
39 The priests: the children of Jeda'yah, of the house of Jeshua', nine hundred seventy and three.
Священиків: синів Єдаїних з Ісусового дому — дев'ять сотень сімдеся́т і три,
40 The children of Immer, one thousand fifty and two.
синів Іммерових — тисяча п'ятдесят і два,
41 The children of Pashchur, one thousand two hundred forty and seven.
синів Пашхурових — тисяча двісті сорок і сім,
42 The children of Charim, one thousand and seventeen.
синів Харімових — тисяча сімнадцять.
43 The Levites: The children of Jeshua', of Kadmiel, of the children of Hodevah, seventy and four.
Левитів: синів Ісусових з Кадміїлового дому, з Годевиних синів — сімдеся́т і чотири.
44 The singers: The children of Assaph, one hundred forty and eight.
Співакі́в: синів Асафових — сто сорок і вісім.
45 The gatekeepers: The children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of 'Akkub, the children of Chatita, the children of Shobai, one hundred thirty and eight.
Придве́рних: синів Шаллумових, синів Атерових, синів Талмонових, синів Аккувових, синів Хатітиних, синів Шоваєвих — сто тридцять і вісім,
46 The temple-servants: The children of Zicha, the children of Chassupha, the children of Tabba'oth,
Храмови́х підда́нців: сини Ціхині, сини Хасуфині, сини Таббаотові,
47 The children of Keross, the children of Si'a, the children of Padon,
сини Керосові, сини Сіїні, сини Падонові,
48 The children of Lebana, the children of Chagaba, the children of Salmai,
сини Леванині, сини Хаґавині, сини Салмаєві,
49 The children of Chanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gachar,
сини Хананові, сини Ґідделові, сини Ґахарові,
50 The children of Reayah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda.
сини Реаїні, сини Рецінові, сини Некодині,
51 The children of Gazzam, the children of 'Uzza, the children of Passeach.
сини Ґаззамові, сини Уззині, сини Пасеахові,
52 The children of Bessai, the children of Me'unim, the children of Nephishessim,
сини Бесаєві, сини Меунімові, сини Нефішесінові,
53 The children of Bakbuk, the children of Chakupha, the children of Charchur.
сини Бакбутові, сини Хакуфині, сини Хархурові,
54 The children of Bazlith, the children of Mechida, the children of Charsha,
сини Бацлітові, сини Мехидині, сини Харшині,
55 The children of Barkoss, the children of Sissera, the children of Thamach,
сини Баркосові, сини Сісерині, сини Темахові,
56 The children of Neziach, the children of Chatipha.
сини Неціяхові, сини Хатіфині.
57 The children of Solomon's servants: The children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
Синів Соломонових рабів: сини Сотаєві, сини Соферетові, сини Перідині,
58 The children of Ya'ala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
сини Яалині, сини Дарконові, сини Ґідделові,
59 The children of Shephatyah, the children of Chattil, the children of Pochereth-hazzebayim, the children of Amon.
сини Шефатіїні, сини Хаттілові, сини Похерет-Гаццеваїмові, сини Амонові, —
60 All the temple-servants, and the children of Solomon' servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
усього цих храмови́х підда́нців та синів Соломонових рабів — три сотні дев'ятдеся́т і два.
61 And these were they who came up from Thel-melach, Thelcharsha, Kerub, Addon, and Immer, but they could not tell their family division and their descent, whether they were of Israel.
А оце ті, що прийшли з Тел-Мелаху, з Тел-Харші, Керув-Аддону та Іммеру, та не могли дове́сти роду батьків своїх та свого насіння, чи вони з Ізраїля:
62 The children of Delayah, the children of Tobiyah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.
синів Делаїних, синів Товійїних, синів Некодиних — шість сотень сорок і два.
63 And of the priests: The children of Chobayah, the children of Hakkoz, the children of Barzillai who had taken a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gil'adite, and was called after their name.
А з священиків: сини Ховаїні, сини Коцові, сини Барзіллая, що взяв жінку з дочо́к ґілеадянина Барзіллая, і став зватися їхнім ім'ям.
64 These sought for their family register, but it was not found: wherefore they were excluded, as unfit, from the priesthood.
Вони шукали за́пису свого родово́ду, але він не знайшовся, — і були вони ви́лучені зо свяще́нства,
65 And the Thirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there should stand up a priest with the Urim and Thummim.
а намісник сказав їм, щоб вони не їли зо Святого Святих, аж поки не стане священик до урі́му та туммі́му.
66 The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and sixty:
Усього збору ра́зом — сорок дві тисячі триста й шістдеся́т,
67 Besides these were their man-servants and their maid-servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred and forty and five singing men and singing women.
окрім їхніх рабів та їхніх невільниць, — цих було сім тисяч триста тридцять і сім; а в них співакі́в та співа́чок — двісті й сорок і п'ять.
68 Their horses were seven hundred thirty and six; their mules, two hundred forty and five;
Їхніх ко́ней було сім сотень тридцять і шість, їхніх мулів — двісті сорок і п'ять,
69 [Their] camels, four hundred thirty and five: [their] asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
верблю́дів — чотири сотні тридцять і п'ять, ослів — шість тисяч і сім сотень і двадцять.
70 And a portion of the chiefs of the divisions gave unto the work. The Thirshatha gave to the treasure, of gold one thousand drachms, fifty bowls, five hundred and thirty coats for the priests.
А частина голі́в ба́тьківських ро́дів дали́ на працю: намісник дав до скарбниці: золота тисячу даре́йків, кропи́льниць — п'ятдеся́т, священичих шат — п'ятсот і тридцять.
71 And some of the chiefs of the divisions gave to the treasury of the work, of gold twenty thousand drachms, and of silver two thousand and two hundred manehs.
А з голів ба́тьківських родів дали до скарбниці на працю: золота — двадцять тисяч дарейків, а срібла — дві тисячі й двісті мін.
72 And what the rest of the people gave was, of gold twenty thousand drachms, and of silver two thousand manehs, and priests coats sixty and seven.
А що дала́ ре́шта наро́ду: золота — двадцять тисяч дарейків, а срібла — дві тисячі мін, а священичих шат — шістдеся́т і сім.
73 So the priests, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and some of the people, and the temple-servants, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities: and so came round the seventh month, while the children of Israel were in their cities.
І осілися священики, і Левити, і придве́рні, і співаки, і дехто з наро́ду, і храмові підда́нці, і ввесь Ізраїль по своїх міста́х. Як настав сьомий місяць, то Ізраїлеві сини були по своїх містах.
