Nehemiah 6
1 Now it came to pass, when it came to the hearing of Sanballat, and Tobiyah, and Geshem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies, that I had built the wall, and that there was no breach left therein, although up to that time I had not yet set up the doors in the gates.
Sa’ad da magana ta zo kunnen Sanballat, da Tobiya, da Geshem mutumin Arab da kuma sauran abokan gābanmu cewa na sāke gina katangar har babu sauran tsaguwa da ta ragu, ko da yake har zuwa lokacin ban sa ƙofofi a ƙyamare ba
2 That Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying, Come, let us meet together in Kephirim, in the plain of Ono. But they were thinking of doing me mischief.
Sanballat da Geshem suka aika mini wannan saƙo cewa, “Ka zo, mu sadu a wani ƙauye a filin Ono.” Amma makirci ne suke yi don su cuce ni;
3 And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, and I cannot come down: why should the work cease, while I leave it lying, and come down to you?
saboda haka sai na aika musu da wannan amsa, na ce, “Ina cikin babban aiki, ba zan kuwa iya gangarawa ba. Don me zan bar aikin yă tsaya don in gangara zuwa wurinku?”
4 And they sent unto me after this manner four times; and I answered them after the same manner.
Suka yi ta aiko mini da wannan saƙo har sau huɗu, ni kuwa na yi ta ba su amsa irin ta dā.
5 Then sent Sanballat unto me in like manner the fifth time his young man with an open letter in his hand:
Sai sau na biya, Sanballat ya aiki mataimakinsa gare ni da irin saƙo guda, kuma a hannunsa akwai wasiƙar da ba a yimƙe ba
6 Therein was written, It hath been heard among the nations, and Gashmu saith it, that thou and the Jews think of rebelling; wherefore thou art building up the wall; and that thou art to be king unto them, according to these reports.
wadda aka rubuta cewa, “An ba da labari cikin al’ummai, kuma Geshem ya ce gaskiya ne, cewa kai da Yahudawa kun shirya tawaye, saboda haka kuke sāke ginin katangar. Ban da haka ma, bisa ga waɗannan rahotanni kana shirin zaman sarkinsu
7 And that thou hast also set up prophets to proclaim concerning thee at Jerusalem, saying, He is king in Judah: and now there may be reported to the king something like these words. Now therefore come, and let us take counsel together.
har ma ka naɗa annabawa su yi wannan shela game da kai a Urushalima, su ce, ‘Akwai sarki a Yahuda!’ To, wannan rahoto zai koma wurin sarki; saboda haka ka zo, mu tattauna wannan batu.”
8 Then I sent unto him, saying, “There hath been done nothing like these reports of which thou speakest; but out of thy own heart thou inventest them.”
Sai na aika masa wannan amsa, na ce, “Babu wani abu haka da yake faruwa; ka dai ƙaga wannan daga tunaninka ne.”
9 For they all wished to make us afraid, thinking, Their hands will be withdrawn from the work, so that it will not be done. Now therefore, [O God, ] strengthen my hands.
Suka dai yi ƙoƙari su tsoratar da mu, suna cewa, “Hannuwansu za su rasa ƙarfin yin aiki, ba kuwa za su ƙare aikin ba.” Amma na yi addu’a na ce, “Yanzu, ya Allah, ka ƙarfafa hannuwana.”
10 And I came also into the house of Shema'yah the son of Delayah the son of Mehetabel, who had shut himself up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us lock the doors of the temple; for they are coming to slay thee: yea, in the night are they coming to slay thee.
Wata rana na tafi gidan Shemahiya ɗan Delahiya, ɗan Mehetabel, wanda aka hana fita a gidansa. Ya ce mini, “Mu sadu gobe a gidan Allah, a cikin haikali, mu kuma kulle ƙofofin haikali, gama mutane suna zuwa su kashe ka, tabbatacce za su zo da dare su kashe ka.”
11 And I said, Should a man like me flee? and who is there that is like me, that would go into the temple and live? I will not go in.
Amma na ce, “Ya kamata mutum kamar ni yă gudu? Ko kuwa ya kamata wani kamar ni yă shiga cikin haikali don yă ceci ransa? Ba zan tafi ba!”
12 And I perceived that, lo, God had not sent him; but that he pronounced this prophecy over me, because Tobiyah and Sanballat had hired him.
Na gane cewa Allah bai aike shi ba, ya yi annabci a kaina domin Tobiya da Sanballat sun yi hayarsa ne.
13 Therefore was he hired, in order that I should become afraid, and do so, and sin, and that it might serve them for an evil report, so that they might cast reproach upon me.
An yi hayarsa don yă sa in ji tsoro in yi zunubi ta yin haka, sa’an nan za su ba ni mugun suna, su wofinta ni.
14 Think, O my God, of Tobiyah and Sanballat according to these their works, and also of No'adyah the prophetess, and the rest of the prophets, who wished to make me afraid.
Ya Allahna, ka tuna da Tobiya da Sanballat, saboda abin da suka yi; ka kuma tuna da annabiya Nowadiya da sauran annabawa waɗanda suke ƙoƙari su tsorata ni.
15 And so was the wall finished on the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days.
Cikin kwana hamsin da biyu aka gama gina katangar, a ranar ashirin da biyar ga watan Elul.
16 And it came to pass, when our enemies heard this, and all the nations that were about us saw it, that they sank greatly in their own eyes; and they perceived that by the aid of our God had this work been wrought.
Sa’ad da dukan abokan gābanmu suka ji haka, dukan al’umman da suke kewaye da mu suka ji tsoro, suka rasa ƙarfin halinsu, domin sun gane cewa wannan aiki an yi shi da taimakon Allahnmu ne.
17 Moreover in those days the nobles of Judah despatched frequently their letters unto Tobiyah, and those of Tobiyah came unto them.
A waɗannan kwanaki, manyan garin Yahuda suka yi ta aika wasiƙu masu yawa zuwa ga Tobiya, shi kuma ya yi ta aika musu da amsoshi.
18 For many in Judah were sworn friends unto him; because he was the son-in-law of Shechanyah the son of Arach, and Jehochanan his son had taken the daughter of Meshullam the son of Bercehyah.
Gama mutane da yawa a cikin Yahuda sun rantse wa Tobiya za su goyi bayansa, domin ya auri’yar Shekaniya, ɗan Ara. Ɗansa kuma, wato, Yehohanan, ya auri’yar Meshullam, ɗan Berekiya.
19 Also his good deeds were they reporting before me, and my words they used to carry out to him: also Tobiyah sent letters to make me afraid.
Ban da haka ma, mutanen sun yi ta ba ni labarin ayyuka masu kyau da Tobiya ya yi, sa’an nan kuma suna faɗa masa duk abin da na faɗa. Tobiya kuwa ya aika wasiƙu don yă tsorata ni.
