Nehemiah 3
1 Then rose up Elyashib the high priest with his brethren the priests, and they built the sheep-gate; they sanctified it, and set up its doors: even as far as the tower of Meah did they sanctify it, as far as the tower of Chananel.
Eliyaashiib lubichi ol aanaanii fi luboonni akka isaa kaʼanii Karra Hoolotaa ijaaran. Isaan karra sana qulqulleessanii cufaawwan isaa iddootti deebisan; dallaa sanas hamma Gamoo Dhibbaa kan isaan qulqulleessan sanaattii fi hamma Gamoo Hanaaniʼeelitti ijaaran.
2 And by his side built the men of Jericho. And by his [other] side built Zaccur the son of Imri.
Namoonni Yerikoo kutaa itti aanu ijaaran; Zakuur ilmi Imrii immoo isaanitti aansee ijaare.
3 But the fish-gate did the sons of Hassenaah build: they also laid its beams, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.
Ilmaan Hasenaaʼaa Karra Qurxummii deebisanii ijaaran. Isaan demdemoo kaaʼanii cufaawwan, loosaa fi danqaraawwan isaa iddootti deebisan.
4 And alongside of them repaired Meremoth the son of Uriyah, the son of Kakkoz. And alongside of them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechyah, the son of Meshezabel. And alongside of them repaired Zadok the son of Ba'ana.
Mereemooti ilmi Uuriyaa, ilmi Haqoosi kutaa itti aanu haaromse. Isatti aanee Meshulaam ilma Berekiyaa ilma Meseezebeelitu haaromse; isaanitti aanee immoo Zaadoq ilma Baʼanaatu haaromse.
5 And alongside of them repaired the Teko'ites; but their principal men put not their necks to the work of their Lord.
Kutaa itti aanu namoota Teqooʼaatu haaromse; namoonni isaanii bebeekamoon garuu hojii Gooftaa isaaniitiif boquu gad hin qabanne.
6 Moreover the old gate repaired Yoyada' the son of Passeach, and Meshullam the son of Bessodeyah: they laid its beams, and set up its doors, and its locks, and its bars.
Yooyaadaan ilmi Faasehaatii fi Meshulaam ilmi Besoodeyaa Karra Moofaa haaromsan. Isaanis demdemoo kaaʼanii cufaawwan, loosaa fi danqaraawwan isaa iddootti deebisan.
7 And alongside of them repaired Melatyah the Gib'onite, and Jadon the Meronothite, men of Gib'on and of Mizpah, unto the seat of the governor on this side of the river.
Isaanitti aansee immoo Melaaxiyaan namichi Gibeʼoon, Yaadoon namichi Meeroonot akkasumas namoonni Gibeʼooniitii fi Miisphaa kutaawwan bulchiinsa bulchaa Gama Laga Efraaxiis jala jiran sana haaromsan.
8 Alongside of him repaired 'Uzziel the son of Charhayah, of the goldsmiths. And alongside of him repaired Chananyah the son of one of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem as far as the broad wall.
Tumtuu warqee keessaa Uziiʼeel ilmi Harhayaa kutaa itti aanu haaromse. Warra Shittoo hojjetan keessaa Hanaaniyaan kutaa kutaa sanatti aanu haaromse. Isaanis hamma Dallaa Balʼaatti Yerusaalemin akka duriitti deebisanii ijaaran.
9 And alongside of them repaired Rephayah the son of Chur, the chief of the half of the district of Jerusalem.
Refaayaan ilmi Huuri, bulchaan gartokkee aanaa Yerusaalem kutaa itti aanu haaromse.
10 And alongside of them repaired Jedayah the son of Charumaph, and this opposite to his house. And alongside of him repaired Chattush the son of Chashabneyah.
Isaanitti aansee Yedaayaa ilmi Haruumaaf kutaa fuullee mana ofii isaa haaromse; Haxuush ilmi Hashabniyaa isatti aansee haaromse.
11 Another division did Malkiyah the son of Charim, and Chashub the son of Pachathmoab, repair, as also the tower of the ovens.
Malkiyaan ilmi Haariimiitii fi Hashuub ilmi Fahat Moʼaab kutaa biraatii fi Gamoo Badaa Ibiddaa haaromsan.
12 And alongside of him repaired Shallum the son of Hallochesh, the chief of the other half of the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.
Shaluum ilmi Haloheesh bulchaan gartokkee aanaa Yerusaalemiitii fi intallan isaa kutaa itti aanu haaromsan.
13 The gate of the valley repaired Chanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoach: they built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and a thousand cubits of the wall as far as the dung-gate.
Haanuunii fi jiraattonni Zaanoʼaa Karra Sululaa haaromsan. Isaanis karra sana deebisanii ijaaranii cufaawwan, loosaa fi danqaraawwan isaa iddootti deebisan. Akkasumas hamma Karra Dikeetti dallaa dhundhuma kuma tokko lafa irra dheeratu haaromsan.
14 And the dung-gate repaired Malkiyah the son of Rechah, the chief of the district of Beth-hakkerem: he built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.
Malkiyaan ilmi Rekaab bulchaan aanaa Beet Hakerem Karra Dikee haaromse. Innis karra sana deebisee ijaaree cufaawwan, loosaa fi danqaraawwan isaa iddootti deebise.
15 And the gate of the fountain repaired Shallum the son of Col-chozeh, the chief of the district of Mizpah: he built it and covered it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Shelach by the king's garden, and as far as the stairs that lead down from the city of David.
Shelaa ilmi Kol-Hoozee bulchaan aanaa Miisphaa sun Karra Burqaa haaromse. Innis karra sana haaromsee gubbaa isaa haguugee cufaawwan isaa, loosaa fi danqaraawwan isaa iddootti deebise. Dallaa Haroo Sheelaanii kan Iddoo Biqiltuu Mootichaa biraa sanas hamma waltajjii Magaalaa Daawit irraa gad buʼuutti haaromse.
16 Next to him repaired Nehemiah the son of 'Azbuk, the chief of the half district of Beth-zur, as far as the place opposite to the sepulchres of David, and as far as the pool that was [newly] made, and as far as the house of the mighty men.
Isa duubaan Nahimiyaan ilmi Azbuuq bulchaan gartokkee aanaa Beet Zuuri sun hamma iddoo fuullee awwaala Daawititti, hamma haroo kuufamee fi hamma Mana Goototaatti haaromse.
17 Next to him repaired the Levites: Rechum the son of Bani. Alongside of him repaired Chashabyah, the chief of the half district of Ke'ilah, for his district.
Isatti aanee Lewwonni Rehuum ilma Baaniitiin qajeelfaman ni haaromsan. Isatti aansee immoo Hashabiyaan bulchaan gartokkee aanaa Qeyiilaa sun aanaa ofii isaatiif haaromse.
18 Next to him repaired their brethren: Bavai the son of Chenadad, the chief of the [other] half district of Ke'ilah.
Isatti aansee namoonni biyya isaanii qajeelcha Bawaayi ilma Heenaadaad bulchaa gartokkee aanaa Qeyiilaa jala turan ni haaromsan.
19 And there repaired alongside of him 'Ezer the son of Joshua, the chief of Mizpah, another division, opposite to the ascent to the armory at the angle.
Isatti aansee Eezer ilmi Yeeshuʼaa bulchaan Miisphaa iddoo karaa mankuusa miʼa lolaatti geessu fuul duraa sana hamma roga isaatti kutaa biraa haaromse.
20 Next to him did Baruch the son of Zaccai' earnestly repair another division, from the angle as far as the door of the house of Elyashib the high priest.
Isatti aansees Baaruk ilmi Zabaay roga sanaa jalqabee hamma balbala mana Eliyaashiib lubicha ol aanaatti kutaa biraa hinaaffaadhaan haaromse.
21 Next to him repaired Meremoth the son of Uriyah the son of Hakkoz another division, from the door of the house of Elyashib even as far as the end of the house of Elyashib.
Isatti aansee Mereemooti ilmi Uuriyaa, ilmi Haqoosi balbala mana Eliyaashiibiitii jalqabee hamma dhuma isaatti kutaa biraa haaromse.
22 And next to him repaired the priests, the men of the plain [of Jordan].
Isatti aansee immoo luboota naannoo sana jiranittu haaromse.
23 Next to him repaired Benjamin and Chashub opposite to their house. Next to him repaired 'Azaryah the son of Ma'aseyah the son of 'Ananyah alongside of his house.
Isaaniin achittis Beniyaamii fi Hashuubittu fuula mana isaanii dura haaromse; isaanitti aansee immoo Azaariyaa ilma Maʼaseyaa ilma Anaaniyaatu mana isaa bira haaromse.
24 Next to him repaired Binnui the son of Chenadad another division, from the house of 'Azaryah as far as the angle, and as far as the corner.
Isatti aansee Binuuyiin ilmi Heenaadaad mana Azaariyaatii jalqabee hamma rogaa fi golee isaatti kutaa biraa haaromse;
25 Palal the son of Uzai [repaired] from opposite to the angle, and the tower which standeth out from the king's upper house, that was by the court of the prison. Next to him Pedayah the son of Par'osh.
Phaalaal ilmi Uuzaay immoo golee sanaa fi gamoo masaraa mootummaa kan ol aanu gubbaatti ijaarame fuullee oobdii eegdotaa bira haaromse. Isatti aansees Phedaayaan ilmi Phaaroshii fi
26 And the temple-servants dwelt on the hill fort, [and they built] as far as opposite to the water-gate toward the east, and the tower that standeth out.
tajaajiltoonni mana qulqullummaa kanneen tulluu Oofeel irra jiraatan hamma iddoo Karra Bishaanii kan gama baʼaatii fi gamoo ol kaʼaa sana duraatti haaromsan.
27 Next to them repaired the Teko'ites another division from opposite the great tower that standeth out, and as far as the wall of the hill fort.
Isaanitti aansanii immoo namoonni Teqooʼaa gamoo ol kaʼaa guddichaa jalqabanii hamma dallaa Oofeelitti kutaa biraa haaromsan.
28 From above the horse-gate repaired the priests, every one opposite to his house.
Karra Fardaatiin olitti tokkoon tokkoon lubootaa fuula mana ofii isaanii dura haaromsan.
29 Next to this repaired Zadok the son of Immer opposite to his house. And next to him repaired Shema'yah the son of Schechanyah, the keeper of the east gate.
Isaanitti aansee Zaadoq ilmi Imeer fuullee mana isaa haaromse. Isatti aansee Shemaaʼiyaan ilmi Shekaaniyaa eegduun Karra gama Baʼaa sun akkasuma ni haaromse.
30 Next to him repaired Chananyah the son of Shelemyah, and Chanun the sixth son of Zalaph another division. Next to him repaired Meshullam the son of Berechyah opposite to his chamber.
Isatti aansaniis Hanaaniyaan ilmi Shelemiyaatii fi Haanuun ilmi Zaalaaf jaʼaffaan sun kutaa biraa haaromsan. Isaanitti aansee immoo Meshulaam ilmi Berekiyaa fuullee mana ofii isaa keessa jiraatuu haaromse.
31 Next to him repaired Malkiyah the goldsmith's son as far as the house of the temple-servants, and of the merchants, opposite to the mustering-gate, and to the upper chamber of the corner.
Isatti aansee immoo tumtuu warqee keessaa Malkiyaan hamma mana tajaajiltoota mana qulqullummaatii fi daldaltootaa kan fuullee Karra Toʼannaatti, hamma kutaa manaa kan golee irraattis haaromse;
32 And between the upper chamber of the corner and the sheep-gate repaired the goldsmiths and the merchants.
tumtuun warqeetii fi daldaltoonni immoo kutaa manaa kan golee irraa sanaa fi Karra Hoolotaa gidduu jiru haaromsan.
