Nehemiah 3
1 Then rose up Elyashib the high priest with his brethren the priests, and they built the sheep-gate; they sanctified it, and set up its doors: even as far as the tower of Meah did they sanctify it, as far as the tower of Chananel.
Kwasekusukuma eEliyashibi umpristi omkhulu labafowabo abapristi, bakha isango lezimvu, balingcwelisa, bamisa izivalo zalo; ngitsho, kuze kube semphotshongweni weMeya bawungcwelisa, kuze kube semphotshongweni weHananeli.
2 And by his side built the men of Jericho. And by his [other] side built Zaccur the son of Imri.
Leceleni kwakhe kwakha amadoda eJeriko; leceleni kwakhe kwakha uZakuri indodana kaImri.
3 But the fish-gate did the sons of Hassenaah build: they also laid its beams, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.
Lesango lenhlanzi alakha amadodana kaHasenaya; amisa imigubazi yalo, amisa izivalo zalo, amabhawudo alo, leminxibo yalo.
4 And alongside of them repaired Meremoth the son of Uriyah, the son of Kakkoz. And alongside of them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechyah, the son of Meshezabel. And alongside of them repaired Zadok the son of Ba'ana.
Leceleni kwawo kwalungisa uMeremothi indodana kaUriya indodana kaHakozi; leceleni kwabo kwalungisa uMeshulamu indodana kaBerekiya indodana kaMeshezabeli; leceleni kwabo kwalungisa uZadoki indodana kaBahana;
5 And alongside of them repaired the Teko'ites; but their principal men put not their necks to the work of their Lord.
leceleni kwabo kwalungisa amaThekhowa; kodwa izikhulu zabo kazilethanga intamo yazo emsebenzini weNkosi yazo.
6 Moreover the old gate repaired Yoyada' the son of Passeach, and Meshullam the son of Bessodeyah: they laid its beams, and set up its doors, and its locks, and its bars.
Lesango elidala balilungisa oJoyada indodana kaPhaseya loMeshulamu indodana kaBesodeya; bamisa imigubazi yalo, bamisa izivalo zalo, lamabhawudo alo, leminxibo yalo.
7 And alongside of them repaired Melatyah the Gib'onite, and Jadon the Meronothite, men of Gib'on and of Mizpah, unto the seat of the governor on this side of the river.
Eceleni kwabo-ke kwalungisa uMelatiya umGibeyoni loJadoni umMeronothi, amadoda eGibeyoni laweMizipa, kuze kube sesihlalweni sobukhosi sombusi wanganeno komfula.
8 Alongside of him repaired 'Uzziel the son of Charhayah, of the goldsmiths. And alongside of him repaired Chananyah the son of one of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem as far as the broad wall.
Eceleni kwakhe kwalungisa uUziyeli indodana kaHarihaya, wabakhandi begolide; leceleni kwakhe kwalungisa uHananiya, indodana yabenzi bamakha; batshiya iJerusalema kwaze kwaba semdulini obanzi.
9 And alongside of them repaired Rephayah the son of Chur, the chief of the half of the district of Jerusalem.
Eceleni kwabo-ke kwalungisa uRefaya indodana kaHuri, umbusi wengxenye yesigaba seJerusalema.
10 And alongside of them repaired Jedayah the son of Charumaph, and this opposite to his house. And alongside of him repaired Chattush the son of Chashabneyah.
Eceleni kwabo-ke kwalungisa uJedaya indodana kaHarumafi lamaqondana lendlu yakhe; leceleni kwakhe kwalungisa uHathushi indodana kaHashabineya.
11 Another division did Malkiyah the son of Charim, and Chashub the son of Pachathmoab, repair, as also the tower of the ovens.
Isilinganiso sesibili basilungisa oMalikiya indodana kaHarimi loHashubi indodana kaPahathi-Mowabi, kanye lomphotshongo wezithando zomlilo.
12 And alongside of him repaired Shallum the son of Hallochesh, the chief of the other half of the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.
Leceleni kwakhe kwalungisa uShaluma indodana kaHaloheshi, umbusi wengxenye yesigaba seJerusalema, yena lamadodakazi akhe.
13 The gate of the valley repaired Chanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoach: they built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and a thousand cubits of the wall as far as the dung-gate.
Isango lesigodi walilungisa uHanuni labahlali beHanowa; balakha, bamisa izivalo zalo, amabhawudo alo, leminxibo yalo, lezingalo eziyinkulungwane emdulini kwaze kwaba sesangweni lomquba.
14 And the dung-gate repaired Malkiyah the son of Rechah, the chief of the district of Beth-hakkerem: he built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.
Lesango lomquba walilungisa uMalikiya indodana kaRekabi, umbusi wesabelo seBhethi-Hakerema; walakha, wamisa izivalo zalo, amabhawudo alo, leminxibo yalo.
15 And the gate of the fountain repaired Shallum the son of Col-chozeh, the chief of the district of Mizpah: he built it and covered it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Shelach by the king's garden, and as far as the stairs that lead down from the city of David.
Lesango lomthombo walilungisa uShaluna indodana kaKolihoze, umbusi wesigaba seMizipa; yena walakha, walifulela, wamisa izivalo zalo, amabhawudo alo, leminxibo yalo, lomduli wechibi leShela ngasesivandeni senkosi, njalo kwaze kwaba sezikhwelweni ezehla zisuka emzini kaDavida.
16 Next to him repaired Nehemiah the son of 'Azbuk, the chief of the half district of Beth-zur, as far as the place opposite to the sepulchres of David, and as far as the pool that was [newly] made, and as far as the house of the mighty men.
Ngemva kwakhe kwalungisa uNehemiya indodana kaAzibuki, umbusi wengxenye yesigaba seBeti-Zuri, kwaze kwaba maqondana lamangcwaba kaDavida, njalo kwaze kwaba sechibini elalenziwe, njalo kwaze kwaba sendlini yamaqhawe.
17 Next to him repaired the Levites: Rechum the son of Bani. Alongside of him repaired Chashabyah, the chief of the half district of Ke'ilah, for his district.
Ngemva kwakhe kwalungisa amaLevi, uRehuma indodana kaBani; leceleni kwakhe kwalungisa uHashabhiya, umbusi wengxenye yesigaba seKeyila, esigabeni sakhe.
18 Next to him repaired their brethren: Bavai the son of Chenadad, the chief of the [other] half district of Ke'ilah.
Ngemva kwakhe kwalungisa abafowabo, uBavayi indodana kaHenadadi, umbusi wengxenye yesigaba seKeyila.
19 And there repaired alongside of him 'Ezer the son of Joshua, the chief of Mizpah, another division, opposite to the ascent to the armory at the angle.
Njalo kwalungisa eceleni kwakhe uEzeri indodana kaJeshuwa, umbusi weMizipa, esinye isilinganiso maqondana lomqanso wendlu yezikhali, engonsini.
20 Next to him did Baruch the son of Zaccai' earnestly repair another division, from the angle as far as the door of the house of Elyashib the high priest.
Ngemva kwakhe kwalungisa ngesivuvu uBharukhi indodana kaZabayi esinye isilinganiso kusukela engonsini kusiya emnyango wendlu kaEliyashibi umpristi omkhulu.
21 Next to him repaired Meremoth the son of Uriyah the son of Hakkoz another division, from the door of the house of Elyashib even as far as the end of the house of Elyashib.
Ngemva kwakhe uMeremothi indodana kaUriya indodana kaHakozi walungisa esinye isilinganiso kusukela emnyango wendlu kaEliyashibi kuze kube sekucineni kwendlu kaEliyashibi.
22 And next to him repaired the priests, the men of the plain [of Jordan].
Langemva kwakhe kwalungisa abapristi, amadoda endawo ezigombolozeleyo.
23 Next to him repaired Benjamin and Chashub opposite to their house. Next to him repaired 'Azaryah the son of Ma'aseyah the son of 'Ananyah alongside of his house.
Ngemva kwakhe kwalungisa oBhenjamini loHashubi maqondana lendlu yabo; ngemva kwakhe kwalungisa uAzariya indodana kaMahaseya indodana kaAnaniya duze lendlu yakhe.
24 Next to him repaired Binnui the son of Chenadad another division, from the house of 'Azaryah as far as the angle, and as far as the corner.
Ngemva kwakhe uBinuwi indodana kaHenadadi walungisa esinye isilinganiso kusukela endlini kaAzariya kusiya engonsini njalo kuze kube sejikweni.
25 Palal the son of Uzai [repaired] from opposite to the angle, and the tower which standeth out from the king's upper house, that was by the court of the prison. Next to him Pedayah the son of Par'osh.
UPalali indodana kaUzayi, maqondana lengonsi lomphotshongo othutsha endlini yenkosi ephezulu esegumeni labalindi. Ngemva kwakhe uPhedaya indodana kaParoshi.
26 And the temple-servants dwelt on the hill fort, [and they built] as far as opposite to the water-gate toward the east, and the tower that standeth out.
AmaNethini ayehlezi eOfeli kwaze kwaba maqondana lesango lamanzi ngasempumalanga lomphotshongo othutshayo.
27 Next to them repaired the Teko'ites another division from opposite the great tower that standeth out, and as far as the wall of the hill fort.
Ngemva kwakhe abeThekhowa balungisa esinye isilinganiso maqondana lomphotshongo omkhulu othutshayo, njalo kwaze kwaba semdulini weOfeli.
28 From above the horse-gate repaired the priests, every one opposite to his house.
Kusukela phezu kwesango lamabhiza kwalungisa abapristi, ngulowo maqondana lendlu yakhe.
29 Next to this repaired Zadok the son of Immer opposite to his house. And next to him repaired Shema'yah the son of Schechanyah, the keeper of the east gate.
Ngemva kwakhe kwalungisa uZadoki indodana kaImeri maqondana lendlu yakhe. Njalo ngemva kwakhe kwalungisa uShemaya indodana kaShekaniya, umgcini wesango lempumalanga.
30 Next to him repaired Chananyah the son of Shelemyah, and Chanun the sixth son of Zalaph another division. Next to him repaired Meshullam the son of Berechyah opposite to his chamber.
Ngemva kwakhe kwalungisa oHananiya indodana kaShelemiya loHanuni indodana yesithupha kaZalafi esinye isilinganiso. Ngemva kwakhe kwalungisa uMeshulamu indodana kaBerekiya maqondana lekamelo lakhe.
31 Next to him repaired Malkiyah the goldsmith's son as far as the house of the temple-servants, and of the merchants, opposite to the mustering-gate, and to the upper chamber of the corner.
Ngemva kwakhe kwalungisa uMalikiya indodana yomkhandi wegolide kwaze kwaba sendlini yamaNethini leyabathengi maqondana lesango leMifikhadi, njalo kusiya endlini yengonsi engaphezulu.
32 And between the upper chamber of the corner and the sheep-gate repaired the goldsmiths and the merchants.
Njalo phakathi laphakathi kwendlu yengonsi engaphezulu kuze kube sesangweni lezimvu kwalungisa abakhandi begolide labathengi.
