Nahum 3
1 Woe to the city of blood! it is all full of lies and robbery; never ceaseth the preying;
ರಕ್ತಮಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಅದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸುಳ್ಳಿನಿಂದಲೂ, ಕಳ್ಳತನದಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿದೆ, ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನೂ ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
2 The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of wheels, and of prancing horses, and of the skipping chariots.
ಚಾವಟಿಗೆ, ಚಬುಕಿನ ಶಬ್ದವೂ, ಚಕ್ರಗಳ ಧಡಧಡನೆಯ ಶಬ್ದವೂ, ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಕುಣಿದಾಟವೂ, ರಥಗಳ ಹಾರಾಟವೂ ಇದೆ.
3 Horsemen mount, and there are the flaming sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and heaps of carcasses; and without end are the corpses; they stumble on their corpses;
ಸವಾರರು ಹತ್ತುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಈಟಿಗಳು ಥಳಥಳಿಸುತ್ತವೆ, ಖಡ್ಗಗಳು ಮಿಂಚುತ್ತವೆ, ಹತರಾದವರು ಬಹಳ; ಹೆಣಗಳ ರಾಶಿ; ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಮೃತ ದೇಹಗಳು, ಶವಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತತ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಜನರು,
4 Because of the multitude of the lewd deeds of the harlot, that is rich in gracefulness, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her lewd deeds, and families through her witchcrafts.
ಇದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಆ ಒಬ್ಬ ವೇಶ್ಯೆಯ ಕಾಮತೃಷೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ, ವೇಶ್ಯೆಯು ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದ ವೇಶ್ಯಾವಾಟಿಕೆಯ ಬಹಳ. ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಸೂಳೆತನಗಳಿಂದ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನೂ, ತನ್ನ ಮಾಟಗಳಿಂದ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಗುಲಾಮರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಳಲ್ಲವೇ?
5 Behold, I will be against thee, saith the Lord of hosts; and I will lay thy skirts open over thy face, and I will let nations see thy nakedness, and kingdoms thy shame.
ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಸೆರಗುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಖದ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಎತ್ತಿ, ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ, ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ನಿಂದೆಯ ಬೆತ್ತಲೆತನವನ್ನೂ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
6 And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and defile thee, and will render thee a dirt-heap.
ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀಚಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕೀಡುಮಾಡುವೆನು.
7 And it shall come to pass, that all they that see thee shall flee from thee, and say, Laid waste is Nineveh: who will condole with her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee?
ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುವರು, ‘ನಿನೆವೆ ಹಾಳಾಯಿತು, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರು ಚಿಂತೆಪಡುವರು?’ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆದರಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ನಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹುಡುಕಲಿ.”
8 Art thou better than No-amon, that was situated on the rivers, that had water round about her, the rampart of which was the sea, and the walls of which rose out of the sea?
ನೈಲ್ ನದಿಯ ಬಳಿ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ತೆಬೆಸ್ಸಿಗಿಂತ ನೀನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವಳೋ? ಅವಳ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನೀರಿತ್ತು. ನದಿ ಅವಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ, ನೀರು ಅವಳ ಗೋಡೆ.
9 Ethiopia the numerous, and Egypt that was without end, Put and Lubim were thy helpers.
ಕೂಷ್ ಮತ್ತು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ಅವಳ ಅಪಾರ ಬಲವಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಪೂಟರೂ, ಲಿಬಿಯದವರೂ ಅವಳ ಸಹಾಯಕರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
10 Yet also she was exiled, was carried away into captivity; also her young children were dashed in pieces at the corners of all streets: and for her honorable men they cast lots, and all her great ones were bound with chains.
ಆದರೆ ಅವಳು ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ದೇಶಾಂತರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದಳು. ಅವಳ ಕೂಸುಗಳು ಸಹ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೀದಿಗಳ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಅವಳ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಚೀಟುಹಾಕಿದರು. ಅವಳ ಮಹನೀಯರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಸಂಕೋಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಿದರು.
11 Thou also shalt be made drunken, thou shalt be hidden from view: thou also shalt seek refuge because of the enemy.
ನೀನೂ ಸಹ ಅಮಲೇರಿ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆ; ನೀನೂ ಸಹ ಶತ್ರುವಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಆಶ್ರಯ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವೆ.
12 All thy strong-holds shall be like fig-trees with the first ripe figs, which, if they be shaken, will fall into the mouth of the eater.
ನಿನ್ನ ಕೋಟೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಮಾಗಿದ ಹಣ್ಣುಳ್ಳ ಅಂಜೂರದ ಗಿಡಗಳ ಹಾಗಿರುವುವು. ಅಲ್ಲಾಡಿಸಿದರೆ ಹಣ್ಣು ತಿನ್ನುವವನ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಬೀಳುವುದು.
13 Behold, thy people are become women in the midst of thee: unto thy enemies are the gates of thy land set wide open; the fire hath devoured thy bars.
ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡು. ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರೇ. ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಶದ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಶಾಲವಾಗಿ ತೆರೆದಿವೆ. ಬೆಂಕಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಅಗುಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
14 Water for the siege draw for thyself, fortify thy strongholds: go into the clay, and tread the mortar, make strong the brick-kiln.
ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನೀರನ್ನು ಸೇದು; ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲವಾದ ಕೋಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಭದ್ರಮಾಡು; ಕೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರು; ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನು ತುಳಿ; ಇಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅಚ್ಚನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿ.
15 There shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it shall devour thee up like the cankerworm: [though] thou make thyself many as the cankerworm; make thyself many as the locusts.
ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಬೆಂಕಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವುದು; ಖಡ್ಗವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಬಿಡುವುದು; ಹುಲ್ಲು ಮೇಯುವ ಹುಳ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವುದು; ಬಹುಮಂದಿಯಾಗು, ಮಿಡತೆಗಳಂತೆ ಬಹುಮಂದಿಯಾಗು, ಗುಂಪು ಮಿಡತೆಗಳಂತೆ
16 [Though] thou hadst multiplied thy merchants more than the stars of heaven: the cankerworm spreadeth itself out, and flieth away.
ನಿನ್ನ ವರ್ತಕರನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದ್ದೀ. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಮಿಡತೆಗಳಂತೆ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸುಲಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹಾರಿಹೋಗುವರು.
17 Thy crowned ones are like the locusts, and thy leaders like the swarms of locusts, which camp in the hedges on a cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are.
ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರು ಮಿಡತೆಗಳ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ತಂಪಾದ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಲಿಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಇಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮಿಡತೆಗಳ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸೂರ್ಯೋದಯವಾಗುವಾಗ ಹಾರಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಆಗ ಅವು ಎಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾವೆಂದು ಅವುಗಳ ಸ್ಥಳವು ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
18 Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria; thy valiant men are at rest: scattered are thy people upon the mountains, and there is none that gathereth them.
ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯದ ಅರಸನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕುರುಬರು ತೂಕಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಗೈಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೂಡಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚದರಿಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
19 There is no healing for thy breach; fatal is thy wound: all that hear the report of thee will clap their hands over thee; for over whom did not thy wickedness pass continually?
ನಿನ್ನ ಗಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ, ನಿನ್ನ ಗಾಯ ಪ್ರಾಣನಾಶಕ. ನಿನ್ನ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಪತನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೈ ತಟ್ಟುವರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೆಡುಕಿಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಗುರಿಯಾಗದವರು ಯಾರಿದ್ದಾರೆ?
