Malachi 3
1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall clear out the way before me: and suddenly will come to his temple the Lord, whom ye seek; and the messenger of the covenant, whom ye desire for, behold, he is coming, saith the Lord of hosts.
௧இதோ, நான் என் தூதனை அனுப்புகிறேன், அவன் எனக்கு முன்பாகப் போய், வழியை ஆயத்தம் செய்வான்; அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் தேடுகிற ஆண்டவரும் நீங்கள் விரும்புகிற உடன்படிக்கையின் தூதனுமானவர் தம்முடைய ஆலயத்திற்கு உடனடியாக வருவார்; இதோ, வருகிறார் என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
2 But who can sustain the day of his coming? and who can stand when he appeareth? for he is like the fire of the melter, and like the lye of the washers:
௨ஆனாலும் அவர் வரும் நாளைத் தாங்கிக்கொள்பவன் யார்? அவர் வெளிப்படும்போது நிலைநிற்பவன் யார்? அவர் புடமிடுகிறவனுடைய நெருப்பைப்போலவும், வண்ணாருடைய சவுக்காரத்தைப்போலவும் இருப்பார்.
3 And he will sit as a melter and purifier of silver; and he will purify the sons of Levi, and refine them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness
௩அவர் உட்கார்ந்து வெள்ளியைப் புடமிட்டுச் சுத்திகரித்துக் கொண்டிருப்பார்; அவர் லேவியின் சந்ததியைச் சுத்திகரித்து, அவர்கள் யெகோவாவுடையவர்களாக இருப்பதற்காகவும், நீதியாகக் காணிக்கையைச் செலுத்துவதற்காகவும், அவர்களைப் பொன்னைப்போலவும் வெள்ளியைப்போலவும் புடமிடுவார்.
4 And then shall be pleasant unto the Lord the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem, as in the days of old, and as in former years.
௪அப்பொழுது ஆரம்பநாட்களிலும் கடந்த வருடங்களிலும் இருந்ததுபோல, யூதாவின் காணிக்கையும், எருசலேமின் காணிக்கையும் யெகோவாவுக்குப் பிரியமாயிருக்கும்.
5 And I will come near unto you to [hold] judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against those that swear falsely, and against those that withhold the wages of the hired laborer, [oppress] the widow, and the fatherless, and that do injustice to the stranger, and fear me not, saith the Lord of hosts.
௫நான் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு செய்யும்படி உங்களிடத்தில் வந்து, சூனியக்காரர்களுக்கும், விபசாரக்காரர்களுக்கும், பொய் சத்தியம் செய்கிறவர்களுக்கும், எனக்குப் பயப்படாமல் விதவைகளும், திக்கற்றபிள்ளைகளுமாகிய கூலிக்காரர்களின் கூலியை அபகரித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களுக்கும், பரதேசிக்கும், அநியாயம் செய்கிறவர்களுக்கும் விரோதமாக முக்கிய சாட்சியாயிருப்பேன் என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
6 For I the Lord, —I have not changed: and ye sons of Jacob—ye have not ceased to be.
௬நான் யெகோவா, நான் மாறாதவர்; ஆகையால் யாக்கோபின் மக்களாகிய நீங்கள் நிர்மூலமாகவில்லை.
7 From the days of your fathers did ye depart from my statutes, and did not keep them; return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts; but ye say, Wherein shall we return?
௭நீங்கள் உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களின் நாட்கள் துவங்கி என் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளாமல், அவைகளைவிட்டு விலகிப்போனீர்கள்; என்னிடத்திற்குத் திரும்புங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களிடத்திற்குத் திரும்புவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்; நாங்கள் எந்த காரியத்தில் திரும்பவேண்டும் என்கிறீர்கள்.
8 Can a man rob God, that ye will rob me? But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and in heave-offerings.
௮மனிதன் தேவனை ஏமாற்றலாமா? நீங்களோ என்னை ஏமாற்றுகிறீர்கள். எதிலே உம்மை ஏமாற்றினோம் என்கிறீர்கள்? தசமபாகத்திலும் காணிக்கைகளிலும்தானே.
9 With the curse are ye cursed, and yet me do ye rob, O ye entire nation!
௯நீங்கள் சபிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்; மக்களாகிய நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் என்னை ஏமாற்றினீர்கள்.
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the store-house, that there may be provision in my house, and prove me but herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour out for you a blessing, until it be more than enough.
௧0என் ஆலயத்தில் ஆகாரம் உண்டாயிருக்கும்படி தசமபாகங்களையெல்லாம் பண்டகசாலையிலே கொண்டுவாருங்கள்; அப்பொழுது நான் வானத்தின் மதகுகளைத் திறந்து, இடங்கொள்ளாமற்போகும்வரை உங்கள்மேல் ஆசீர்வாதத்தை பொழியச்செய்யமாட்டேனோவென்று அதினால் என்னைச் சோதித்துப்பாருங்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
11 And I will rebuke for you the devourer, and he shall not destroy for you the fruit of the ground: and the vine shall not cast its fruit for you before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.
௧௧பூமியின் கனியை அழித்துப்போடுகிறவைகளை உங்கள் நிமித்தம் கண்டிப்பேன்; அவைகள் உங்கள் நிலத்தின் பலனை அழிப்பதில்லை, வெளியிலுள்ள திராட்சைக்கொடி பழமில்லாமற்போவதுமில்லை என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
12 And all the nations shall call you blessed; for ye shall be a land of delight, saith the Lord of hosts.
௧௨அப்பொழுது எல்லா ஜாதிகளும் உங்களைப் பாக்கியவான்கள் என்பார்கள், தேசம் விரும்பப்படத்தக்கதாயிருக்கும் என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
13 Your words have been strong against me, saith the Lord; but ye say, What have we spoken among us against thee?
௧௩நீங்கள் எனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பேசின பேச்சுகள் கடினமாயிருக்கிறது என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்; ஆனாலும் உமக்கு விரோதமாக எதைப் பேசினோம் என்கிறீர்கள்.
14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his charge, and that we have walked contritely before the Lord of hosts?
௧௪தேவனைச் சேவிப்பது வீண், அவருடைய கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறதினாலும், சேனைகளின் யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாகத் துக்கித்து நடக்கிறதினாலும் என்ன பயன்?
15 And now we call the presumptuous happy: yea, built up are those that practise wickedness; yea, they have even tempted God and are [yet] suffered to escape.
௧௫இப்போதும் அகங்காரிகளைப் பாக்கியவான்கள் என்கிறோம்? தீமை செய்கிறவர்கள் திடப்படுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் தேவனைப் பரிட்சைபார்த்தாலும் விடுவிக்கப்படுகிறார்களே என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்கள்.
16 Then conversed they that fear the Lord one with the other: and the Lord listened and heard it, and there was written a book of remembrance before him for those who fear the Lord, and for those who respect his name.
௧௬அப்பொழுது யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயந்தவர்கள் ஒருவரோடொருவர் பேசிக்கொள்வார்கள்; யெகோவா கவனித்துக் கேட்பார்; யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயந்தவர்களுக்காகவும், அவருடைய நாமத்தைத் தியானிக்கிறவர்களுக்காகவும் ஞாபகப்புத்தகம் ஒன்று அவருக்கு முன்பாக எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, on that day which I create as a special treasure: and I will spare them, as a man spareth his son that serveth him.
௧௭என் செல்வத்தை நான் சேர்க்கும் நாளிலே அவர்கள் என்னுடையவர்களாயிருப்பார்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்; ஒரு மனிதன் தனக்கு வேலைசெய்கிற தன்னுடைய மகனுக்கு இரக்கம்காட்டுவதுபோல நான் அவர்களுக்கு இரக்கம்காட்டுவேன்.
18 And ye shall return, and see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that hath not served him.
௧௮அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் நீதிமானுக்கும் துன்மார்க்கனுக்கும், தேவனுக்கு ஊழியம்செய்கிறவனுக்கும், அவருக்கு ஊழியம்செய்யாதவனுக்கும் இருக்கிற வித்தியாசத்தை திரும்பவும் காண்பீர்கள்.
