Leviticus 6
1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
Et le Seigneur parla à Moïse, et il lui dit:
2 If any person sin, and commit a trespass against the Lord; if he, namely, lie unto his neighbor in that which was delivered to him to keep, or in a loan, or in a thing taken away by violence, or if he have withheld the wages of his neighbor;
L'âme qui aura péché, qui aura méprisé et méprisé les commandements du Seigneur, et qui aura frauduleusement agi envers son prochain, au sujet d'un dépôt ou d'une association, ou en le volant, enfin, qui aura commis quelque injustice envers son prochain,
3 Or if he have found something which was lost, and lie concerning it, and swear falsely; in any one of all these which a man can do, to sin thereby:
Ou qui aura trouvé une chose perdue, et, au sujet de cette chose, aura menti ou qui aura fait un faux serment concernant l'une des affaires que font les hommes, de telle sorte que, par l'un de ces moyens, elle ait péché;
4 Then shall it be, when he hath sinned and is conscious of his guilt, that he shall restore what be hath taken violently away, or the wages which he hath withheld, or that which was delivered to him to keep, or the lost thing which he hath found,
Que cette âme, qui aura commis l'un de ces délits, rende le bien dont elle s'est emparée, qu'elle répare le tort qu'elle aura fait, qu'elle rende le dépôt qui lui aura été confié ou la chose qu'elle aura trouvée;
5 Or any one thing about which he may have sworn falsely; and he shall restore it in its principal, and the fifth part thereof shall he add thereto; unto him to whom it appertaineth shall he give it, on the day when he confesseth his trespass.
Quelle que soit la chose au sujet de laquelle elle aura prêté un faux serment, elle la rendra tout entière, en y ajoutant un cinquième en sus; elle la rendra au maître, le jour même où elle aura été convaincue.
6 And his trespass-offering shall he bring unto the Lord, a ram without blemish out of the flocks, of the usual value, for a trespass-offering, unto the priest:
Pour son délit, qu'elle présente en outre au Seigneur un bélier sans tache de son troupeau de brebis, d'un prix proportionné à son péché,
7 And the priest shall make an atonement for him before the Lord, and it shall be forgiven unto him, for any one thing of all that he may have done to trespass thereby.
Et le prêtre priera Dieu pour elle, et son péché lui sera remis en chacune des choses en quoi elle aura failli.
8 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
Et le Seigneur parla à Moïse, disant:
9 Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt-offering: It is the burnt-offering, which shall be burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning on it.
Donne ces ordres à Aaron et à ses fils; dis-leur: Voici la règle des holocaustes; voici comment on les brûlera: on les brûlera sur l'autel toute la nuit jusqu'au point du jour, et le feu brûlera toujours sur l'autel, et il ne sera pas éteint.
10 And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and linen breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and he shall lift up the ashes which the fire hath made by consuming the burnt-offering on the altar, and he shall place them beside the altar.
Le prêtre ensuite revêtira une tunique de lin, et il passera autour de son corps des caleçons de lin, et il enlèvera de l'autel les restes de l'hostie que le feu aura consumée, les restes de l'holocauste, et il les déposera contre l'autel.
11 And he shall take off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry forth the ashes to without the camp, unto a clean place.
Puis, il quittera sa tunique pour un autre vêtement, et il emportera le résidu de l'holocauste hors du camp, dans un lieu pur.
12 And the fire upon the altar shall be burning on it, it shall not be put out, and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning: and he shall lay in order upon it the burnt-offering, and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace-offerings.
Le feu brûlera sur l'autel, il ne sera pas éteint, et le prêtre y fera brûler du bois de grand matin, et il y entassera les holocaustes, sur lesquels il posera la graisse des hosties pacifiques.
13 A perpetual fire shall be burning upon the altar; it shall not go out.
Le feu brûlera toujours sur l'autel, et il ne sera pas éteint.
14 And this is the law of the meat-offering: [one of] the sons of Aaron shall bring it near before the Lord, in front of the altar.
Voici la règle du sacrifice que les fils d'Aaron feront devant le Seigneur, en face de l'autel:
15 And he shall lift up from it his handful, of the flour of the meat-offering, and of its oil, and all the frankincense which is upon the meat-offering, and he shall burn it upon the altar, for a sweet savor, as its memorial, unto the Lord.
Le prêtre enlèvera une pleine poignée de la fleur de farine du sacrifice, avec l'huile et tout l'encens qui sont sur le sacrifice, et il portera cette part sur l'autel; ce sera le sacrifice, l'odeur de suavité, le mémorial pour le Seigneur.
16 And what is left thereof shall Aaron and his sons eat: unleavened shall it be eaten in a holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation shall they eat it.
Aaron et ses fils mangeront le reste du sacrifice; ce sera un azyme mangé en lieu saint; ils le mangeront dans le parvis du tabernacle du témoignage.
17 It shall not be baked leaven; as their portion have I given it from my offerings made by fire; it is most holy, as is the sin-offering, and as is the trespass-offering.
On n'y mettra pas de levain; c'est la part de sacrifices au Seigneur que je leur ai donnée; elle est très sainte, comme celle du sacrifice pour le péché et celle du sacrifice pour le délit.
18 all the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it, as a fixed portion for ever in your generations from the fire-offerings of the Lord: every one that toucheth the same shall be holy.
Tout mâle, parmi les prêtres, la mangera; c'est la loi perpétuelle des sacrifices pour toutes vos générations: quiconque en aura mangé sera sanctifié.
19 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
Et le Seigneur parla à Moïse, disant:
20 This is the offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer unto the Lord on the day when he is anointed: the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a meat-offering perpetually; half of it in the morning, and the other half of it in the evening.
Voici l'oblation qu'Aaron et ses fils feront au Seigneur, à partir du jour où tu les oindras; Le dixième d'un éphi de fleur de farine en sacrifice, moitié le matin et moitié le soir.
21 In a pan, with oil, shall it be made, well sodden shalt thou bring it; twice baked, a meat-offering of broken pieces, shalt thou offer it for a sweet savor unto the Lord.
On le fera frire dans l'huile, à la poêle, on l'offrira en rouleau et brisé par fragments; c'est le sacrifice d'odeur de suavité pour le Seigneur.
22 And the priest that shall be anointed in his stead among his sons shall offer it: it is a statute for ever, unto the Lord; it shall be wholly burnt.
L'oint, le prêtre, celui des fils d'Aaron qui lui succèdera, fera le sacrifice; c'est une loi perpétuelle; tout sera consumé.
23 And every meat-offering of a priest shall be wholly burnt, it shall not be eaten.
Car, tout sacrifice de prêtre sera un holocauste; on n'en mangera rien,
24 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, disant:
25 Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin-offering: On the place where the burnt-offering is killed shall the sin-offering be killed before the Lord; it is most holy.
Parle à Aaron et à ses fils; dis-leur: Voici la loi des sacrifices pour le péché: c'est dans le lieu où l'on immole les holocaustes que l'on immolera devant le Seigneur les victimes pour le péché; elles seront choses très saintes.
26 The priest who maketh atonement with its blood shall eat it: in a holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Le prêtre qui les offrira, les mangera; il les mangera en lieu saint, dans le parvis du tabernacle du témoignage.
27 Whatsoever may touch the flesh thereof shall be holy: and if there should be sprinkled any of its blood upon a garment, whatever it hath been sprinkled on shalt thou wash out in a holy place.
Quiconque aura touché les chairs d'une victime, sera sanctifié; et quiconque aura eu son manteau aspergé de sang, ou aura été aspergé lui-même, sera lavé en lieu saint.
28 And any earthen vessel wherein it may have been boiled shall be broken: and if it have been boiled in a copper vessel, it shall be both scoured and rinsed with water.
Le vase de poterie dans lequel on aura fait cuire les chairs, sera brisé et si on les a fait cuire en un vase d'airain, on le nettoiera et on le lavera avec de l'eau.
29 Every male among the priests may eat thereof: it is most holy.
Tout mâle, parmi les prêtres, les mangera; elles sont choses très saintes devant le Seigneur.
30 And every sin-offering whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to make atonement therewith in the holy place, shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt in fire.
Toute victime, pour le péché, dont on aura introduit du sang dans le tabernacle du témoignage, pour intercéder dans le saint, ne sera pas mangé, mais consumé par le feu.
