Leviticus 14
1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
L'Eternel parla aussi à Moïse, en disant:
2 This shall be the law of the leper on the day of his being cleansed: He shall be brought unto the priest.
C'est ici la loi du lépreux pour le jour de la purification; il sera amené au Sacrificateur.
3 And the priest shall go forth to without the camp; and if the priest see, and, behold, the plague of leprosy be healed on the leper:
Et le Sacrificateur sortira hors du camp, et le regardera; et s'il aperçoit que la plaie de la lèpre soit guérie au lépreux,
4 Then shall the priest command to take for him that is to be cleansed two healthy, clean birds, and cedar wood, and a string of scarlet yarn, and hyssop.
Le Sacrificateur commandera qu'on prenne pour celui qui doit être nettoyé, deux passereaux vivants [et] nets, avec du bois de cèdre, et du cramoisi, et de l'hysope,
5 And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water.
Et le Sacrificateur commandera qu'on coupe la gorge à l'un des passereaux sur un vaisseau de terre, sur de l'eau vive.
6 As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the string of scarlet yarn, and the hyssop, and he shall dip these and the living bird into the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water:
Puis il prendra le passereau vivant, le bois de cèdre, le cramoisi, et l'hysope; et il trempera [toutes ces choses] avec le passereau vivant, dans le sang de l'autre passereau qui aura été égorgé sur de l'eau vive.
7 And he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times; and when he hath cleansed him, he shall let the living bird fly forth into the open field.
Et il en fera aspersion par sept fois sur celui qui doit être nettoyé de la lèpre, et le nettoiera, et il laissera aller par les champs, le passereau vivant.
8 And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, and he shall be clean, and after that he may come into the camp; but he shall tarry outside of his tent seven days.
Et celui qui doit être nettoyé lavera ses vêtements, et rasera tout son poil, et se lavera dans l'eau, et il sera net, et ensuite il entrera au camp, mais il demeurera sept jours hors de sa tente.
9 And it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave off all his hair, his head, and his beard, and his eyebrows, even all his hair shall he shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, he shall also wash his flesh in water, when he shall be clean.
Et au septième jour il rasera tout son poil, sa tête, sa barbe, les sourcils de ses yeux, tout son poil; il rasera, [dis-je], tout son poil; puis il lavera ses vêtements et sa chair, et il sera net.
10 And on the eighth day he shall take two sheep without blemish, and one ewe of the first year without blemish, and three-tenth parts of fine flour for a meat-offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.
Et au huitième jour il prendra deux agneaux sans tare, et une brebis d'un an sans tare, et trois dixièmes de fine farine à faire le gâteau, pétrie à l'huile, et un log d'huile.
11 And the priest who cleanseth shall cause the man that is to be made clean, and these things, to stand before the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:
Et le Sacrificateur qui fait la purification, présentera celui qui doit être nettoyé, et ces choses-là, devant l'Eternel à l'entrée du Tabernacle d'assignation.
12 And the priest shall take the one sheep, and offer the same for a trespass-offering, with the log of oil; and he shall make with them a waving before the Lord.
Puis le Sacrificateur prendra l'un des agneaux, et l'offrira en offrande pour le délit avec un log d'huile, et tournoiera ces choses devant l'Eternel, en oblation tournoyée.
13 And he shall slay the sheep on the place where the sin-offering and the burnt-offering are killed, in the holy place; for as the sin-offering so doth the trespass-offering belong to the priest: it is most holy.
Et il égorgera l'agneau au lieu où l'on égorge [l'offrande] pour le péché, et l'holocauste, dans le lieu saint; car [l'offrande pour] le délit appartient au Sacrificateur, comme [l'offrande pour] le péché; c'est une chose très-sainte.
14 And the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass-offering; and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.
Et le Sacrificateur prendra du sang [de l'offrande pour] le délit, et le mettra sur le mol de l'oreille droite de celui qui doit être nettoyé, et sur le pouce de sa main droite, et sur le gros orteil de son pied droit.
15 And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.
Puis le Sacrificateur prendra de l'huile du log, et en versera dans la paume de sa main gauche.
16 And the priest shall dip his finger of the right hand in the oil that is in his left hand, and he shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the Lord.
Et le Sacrificateur trempera le doigt de sa main droite en l'huile qui est dans sa paume gauche, et fera aspersion de l'huile avec son doigt sept fois devant l'Eternel.
17 And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass-offering.
Et du reste de l'huile qui sera dans sa paume, le Sacrificateur en mettra sur le mol de l'oreille droite de celui qui doit être nettoyé, et sur le pouce de sa main droite, et sur le gros orteil de son pied droit, sur le sang pris de [l'offrande pour le] délit.
18 And what is left of the oil that is in the priest's hand, he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall [thus] make an atonement for him before the Lord.
Mais ce qui restera de l'huile sur la paume du Sacrificateur, il le mettra sur la tête de celui qui doit être nettoyé; et ainsi le Sacrificateur fera propitiation pour lui devant l'Eternel.
19 And the priest shall prepare the sin-offering, and make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterward shall he kill the burnt-offering:
Ensuite le Sacrificateur offrira [l'offrande pour] le péché, et fera propitiation pour celui qui doit être nettoyé de sa souillure; puis il égorgera l'holocauste.
20 And the priest shall offer the burnt-offering and the meat-offering upon the altar; and the priest shall [thus] make an atonement for him, and he shall be clean.
Et le Sacrificateur offrira l'holocauste et le gâteau sur l'autel, et fera propitiation pour celui qui doit être nettoyé; et il sera net.
21 But if he be poor, and his means do not suffice, then shall he take one sheep for a trespass-offering to be waved, to make an atonement for him; and one-tenth part of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat-offering, and a log of oil;
Mais s'il est pauvre, et s'il n'a pas le moyen de fournir ces choses, il prendra un agneau en offrande tournoyée pour le délit, afin de faire propitiation pour soi, et un dixième de fine farine pétrie à l'huile, pour le gâteau, avec un log d'huile;
22 And two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, for which his means suffice; and one shall be a sin-offering, and the other a burnt-offering.
Et deux tourterelles ou deux pigeonneaux, selon qu'il pourra fournir, dont l'un sera pour le péché, et l'autre pour l'holocauste.
23 And he shall bring them on the eighth day of his being cleansed unto the priest, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, before the Lord.
Et le huitième jour de sa purification il les apportera au Sacrificateur à l'entrée du Tabernacle d'assignation, devant l'Eternel.
24 And the priest shall take the sheep of the trespass-offering, and the log of oil; and the priest shall make with them a waving before the Lord.
Et le Sacrificateur recevra l'agneau [de l'offrande pour] le délit, et le log d'huile, et les tournoiera devant l'Eternel en offrande tournoyée.
25 And he shall kill the sheep of the trespass-offering; and the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass-offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.
Et il égorgera l'agneau de [l'offrande pour le] délit; puis le Sacrificateur prendra du sang de [l'offrande pour le] délit, et le mettra sur le mol de l'oreille droite de celui qui doit être nettoyé, et sur le pouce de sa main droite, et sur le gros orteil de son pied droit.
26 And some of the oil shall the priest pour into the palm of his own left hand:
Puis le Sacrificateur versera de l'huile dans la paume de sa main gauche.
27 And the priest shall sprinkle with his finger of the right hand some of the oil that is in his left hand, seven times before the Lord;
Et avec le doigt de sa main droite il fera aspersion de l'huile qui est dans sa main gauche, sept fois devant l'Eternel.
28 And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot; upon the place of the blood of the trespass-offering;
Et il mettra de cette huile qui est dans sa paume, sur le mol de l'oreille droite de celui qui doit être nettoyé, et sur le pouce de sa main droite, et sur le gros orteil de son pied droit, sur le lieu du sang pris de [l'offrande pour le] délit.
29 And what is left of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make an atonement for him before the Lord.
Après il mettra le reste de l'huile qui est dans sa paume sur la tête de celui qui doit être nettoyé, afin de faire propitiation pour lui devant l'Eternel.
30 And he shall offer the one of the turtle-doves, or of the young pigeons, from what his means enable him [to bring];
Puis il sacrifiera l'une des tourterelles, ou l'un des pigeonneaux, selon ce qu'il aura pu fournir.
31 Even what his means enable him, the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, with the meat-offering: and the priest shall [thus] make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed, before the Lord.
De ce donc qu'il aura pu fournir, l'un sera pour le péché, et l'autre pour l'holocauste, avec le gâteau; ainsi le Sacrificateur fera propitiation devant l'Eternel pour celui qui doit être nettoyé.
32 This is the law of him on whom is the plague of leprosy, whose means are not sufficient when he is cleansed.
Telle est la loi de celui auquel il y a une plaie de lèpre, et qui n'a pas le moyen de fournir à sa purification.
33 And the Lord spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
Puis l'Eternel parla à Moïse et à Aaron, en disant:
34 When ye come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put the plague of leprosy on a house of the land of your possession:
Quand vous serez entrés au pays de Canaan, que je vous donne en possession, si j'envoie une plaie de lèpre en quelque maison du pays que vous posséderez;
35 Then shall he that owneth the house come and tell the priest, saying, Something like a leprosy hath shown itself to me in the house.
Celui à qui la maison appartiendra viendra, et le fera savoir au Sacrificateur, en disant: Il me semble que j'aperçois comme une plaie en ma maison.
36 And the priest shall command that they clear out the house, before the priest go into it to see the plague, that all be not made unclean that is in the house: and after this shall the priest go in to see the house.
Alors le Sacrificateur commandera qu'on vide la maison avant qu'il y entre pour regarder la plaie; afin que rien de ce qui est dans la maison ne soit souillé, puis le Sacrificateur entrera pour voir la maison.
37 And he shall view the plague, and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the house, in depressions, dark green or dark red, and their appearance be deeper than the wall:
Et il regardera la plaie, et s'il aperçoit que la plaie qui est aux parois de la maison, ait quelques fossettes tirant sur le vert, ou roussâtres, qui soient, à les voir, plus enfoncées que la paroi;
38 Then shall the priest go out of the house to the door of the house, and lock up the house seven days.
Le Sacrificateur sortira de la maison, à l'entrée, et fera fermer la maison pendant sept jours.
39 And the priest shall come again on the seventh day; and if he see, that, behold, the plague have spread in the walls of the house:
Et au septième jour le Sacrificateur retournera, et la regardera, et s'il aperçoit que la plaie se soit étendue sur les parois de la maison;
40 Then shall the priest command that they break out the stones on which the plague is; and they shall cast them forth without the city on an unclean place.
Alors il commandera d'arracher les pierres, auxquelles est la plaie, et de les jeter hors de la ville dans un lieu souillé.
41 And the house he shall cause to be scraped within round about; and they shall pour out the rubbish that they have scraped off without the city on an unclean place.
Il fera aussi racler l'enduit de la maison par dedans tout à l'entour, et l'enduit qu'on aura raclé, on le jettera hors de la ville en un lieu souillé.
42 And they shall take other stones, and put them into the place of these stones; and other mortar shall he take, and shall plaster the house.
Puis on prendra d'autres pierres, et on les apportera au lieu des [premières] pierres, et on prendra d'autre mortier pour r'enduire la maison.
43 And if the plague come again, and break out in the house, after he hath taken away the stones, and after the house hath been scraped, and after it hath been plastered:
Mais si la plaie retourne et boutonne en la maison, après qu'on aura arraché les pierres, et après qu'on l'aura raclée, et r'enduite,
44 Then shall the priest come; and if he see that, behold, the plague have spread in the house, it is a corrosive leprosy in the house; it is unclean.
Le Sacrificateur y entrera, et la regardera, et s'il aperçoit que la plaie soit accrue en la maison, c'est une lèpre rongeante en la maison; elle est souillée.
45 And he shall break down the house, its stones, and the timbers thereof, and all the mortar of the house; and he shall carry them forth to without the city, unto an unclean place.
On démolira donc la maison, ses pierres, et son bois, avec tout son mortier, et on les transportera hors de la ville en un lieu souillé.
46 And he that goeth into the house, all the days that it is locked up, shall be unclean until the evening.
Et si quelqu'un est entré dans la maison, pendant tout le temps que le Sacrificateur l'avait faite fermer, il sera souillé jusqu'au soir.
47 And he that lieth in the house shall wash his clothes; and he that eateth in the house shall wash his clothes.
Et celui qui dormira dans cette maison lavera ses vêtements; celui aussi qui mangera dans cette maison lavera ses vêtements.
48 But if the priest should come in, and see, and, behold, the plague have not spread in the house, after the house was plastered: then shall the priest pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.
Mais quand le Sacrificateur y sera entré, et qu'il aura aperçu que la plaie n'a point crû en cette maison, après l'avoir faite r'enduire, il jugera la maison nette; car sa plaie est guérie.
49 And he shall take, to atone for the house, two birds, and cedar wood, and a string of scarlet yarn, and hyssop;
Alors il prendra pour purifier la maison, deux passereaux, du bois de cèdre, du cramoisi, et de l'hysope.
50 And he shall kill the one bird in an earthen vessel over running water;
Et il coupera la gorge à l'un des passereaux sur un vaisseau de terre, sur de l'eau vive.
51 And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet yarn, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle on the house seven times:
Et il prendra le bois de cèdre, l'hysope, le cramoisi, et le passereau vivant, et trempera le tout dans le sang du passereau qu'on aura égorgé, et dans l'eau vive; puis il fera aspersion dans la maison par sept fois.
52 And he shall atone for the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the string of scarlet yarn;
Il purifiera donc la maison avec le sang du passereau, et avec l'eau vive, et avec le passereau vivant, le bois de cèdre, l'hysope, et le cramoisi.
53 But he shall let fly forth the living bird out of the city into the open field, and make [thus] an atonement for the house, and it shall be clean.
Puis il laissera aller hors de la ville par les champs le passereau vivant, et il fera propitiation pour la maison; et elle sera nette.
54 This is the law for all manner of plague of leprosy, and scall,
Telle est la loi de toute plaie de lèpre, et de teigne;
55 And for the leprosy of a garment and of a house,
De lèpre de vêtement, et de maison;
56 And for a swelling, and for a rising, and for a bright spot;
De tumeur, de gâle, et de bouton;
57 To teach on the day when something is unclean, and on the day when it is clean: this is the law of the leprosy.
Pour enseigner en quel temps une chose est souillée, et en quel temps elle est nette; telle est la loi de la lèpre.
