Lamentations 5
1 Remember, O Lord, what hath occurred to us, look down, and behold our disgrace.
Rabbiyow, bal xusuuso wixii nagu soo degay. Ka fiirso oo bal eeg caydii nalagu caayay.
2 Our inheritance is turned over to strangers, our houses to aliens.
Dhaxalkayagii waxaa helay shisheeyayaal. Guryahayagiina waxaa iska qaatay ajnabiyo.
3 Orphans are we become, and [we are] without a father, our mothers are like widows.
Waxaannu nahay agoommo, aabbayaal ma lihin, Oo hooyooyinkayana carmallay noqdeen
4 Our water have we drunk for money: our wood cometh to us for a purchase price.
Biyahayagii lacag baannu ku cabnay, Oo qoryahayagiina waa nalaga iibiyey.
5 Up to our necks are we pursued: we are fatigued, and no rest is allowed us.
Kuwii na eryanayayna way na gaadheen, Waannu daalan nahay oo nasasho ma lihin.
6 To Egypt do we stretch out our hand, to Asshur, to be satisfied with bread.
Waxaannu gacanta u dhiibannay Masriyiinta Iyo reer Ashuur si aannu kibis uga dheregno.
7 Our fathers have sinned, and are no more; but we have indeed to bear their iniquities.
Aabbayaashayo waa dembaabeen, mana joogaan, Oo annagaa xumaatooyinkoodii xambaarannay.
8 Servants rule over us: no one delivereth us out of their hand.
Addoommaa noo taliya, Oo mid gacantooda naga samatabbixiyaana ma jiro,
9 At the peril of our life must we bring home our bread, because of the sword of the wilderness.
Waxaannu kibistayada ku helnaa naftayadoo aan biimayno, Waana seefta cidlada aawadeed.
10 Our skin gloweth like an oven, because of the heat of famine.
Haraggayagii wuxuu u madoobaaday sidii foorno oo kale, Waana kulaylkii abaarta daraaddiis.
11 Women have they ravished in Zion, virgins, in the cities of Judah.
Naagihii Siyoon dhexdeedaa lagu kufsaday, Hablihii bikradaha ahaana magaalooyinka dalka Yahuudah waa lagu kufsaday.
12 Princes were hanged up by their hand: the faces of elders were not honored.
Amiirradii gacmahoodaa lagu deldelay, Oo odayaashiina lama sharfin.
13 Young men they bore to the mill, and boys stumbled under the wood.
Barbaarradii dhagaxshiidkay qaadeen, Oo carruurtiina rarkii qoryaha bay la kufeen.
14 The elders have ceased from the gate, young men, from their singing.
Odayaashii iridday ka joogsadeen, Oo barbaarradiina muusikadoodii farahay ka qaadeen.
15 Ceased hath the joy of our heart: our dance is changed into mourning.
Farxaddii qalbigayagay ka dhammaatay, Oo cayaartayadiina baroorashay u rogmatay.
16 Fallen is the crown of our head: woe to us, for we have sinned.
Taajkii madaxayaguu ka dhacay. Annagaa iska hoognay, waayo, waannu dembaabnay!
17 Because of this is our heart made sick; for these things are our eyes dimmed;
Taas darteed qalbigayagu wuu itaal darnaaday. Oo waxyaalahaas aawadoodna indhahayagii way arag darnaayeen.
18 Because of the mount of Zion which is wasted, foxes walk about on it.
Maxaa yeelay, Buur Siyoon waa cidlowday, Oo dawacooyin baa ku dul socda.
19 O thou, Lord, wilt truly abide for ever, thy throne existeth throughout all generations.
Rabbiyow, weligaaba sida boqor baad u fadhidaa, Oo carshigaaguna ab ka ab buu waaraa.
20 Wherefore wilt thou forget us for ever! wilt thou forsake us for so long a time?
Haddaba bal maxaad weligaaba noo illowdaa, Oo maxaad wakhti dheer noo dayrisaa?
21 Cause us to return, O Lord, unto thee, and we will return: renew our days as of old.
Rabbiyow, xaggaaga noo soo celi, oo waannu soo noqon doonnaa. Maalmahayagana sida kuwii hore oo kale nooga dhig.
22 For wouldst thou entirely reject us, be wroth with us to the uttermost?
Laakiinse dhammaantayoba waad na diidday. Oo aad baad noogu cadhootay.
