< Lamentations 3 >

1 I am the man who hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
Anigu waxaan ahay ninkii arkay dhibaatadii ay ushii cadhadiisu keentay.
2 Me hath he driven out, and led into darkness, but not into light.
Wuu i hoggaamiyey oo igu dhex socodsiiyey gudcur aan iftiin lahayn.
3 Surely against me doth he turn again and again his hand all the day.
Sida xaqiiqada ah maalintii oo dhan ayuu mar kasta gacantiisa igu sii jeediyaa.
4 He hath caused my flesh and my skin to wear out, he hath broken my bones.
Jiidhkaygii iyo haraggaygiiba wuu gaboojiyey, lafahaygiina wuu jejebiyey.
5 He hath built around me, and encompassed me with poison and hardship.
Wax buu igu wareejiyey, oo wuxuu igu hareereeyey qadhaadh iyo dhib.
6 In dark places hath he set me to dwell, like the dead of olden times.
Wuxuu iga dhigay inaan meelo gudcur ah dego sidii kuwii waagii hore dhintay.
7 He hath placed a fence round about me, that I cannot get out; he hath made heavy my chain.
Derbi buu igu wareejiyey si aanan u bixi karin, silsiladdaydiina mid culus buu ka dhigay.
8 Also when I cry aloud and make entreaty, he shutteth out my prayer.
Oo weliba markaan dhawaaqo oo aan caawimaad u qayshadona baryadayda wuu diidaa.
9 He hath fenced up my ways with hewn stone, my paths hath he made crooked.
Jidadkaygii wuxuu ku awday dhagaxyo la qoray, oo wadiiqooyinkaygiina wuu qalloociyey.
10 A bear lying in wait is he to me, a lion in secret places.
Wuxuu igu noqday sidii orso ii gabbanaysa iyo sidii libaax meelo qarsoon iigu dhuumanaya.
11 On my ways hath he placed thorns, and torn me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.
Jidadkaygii wuu iga leexiyey, oo cad cad buu ii kala jaray, cidla buuna iga dhigay.
12 He hath bent his bow, and placed me as a mark for the arrow.
Qaansadiisii wuu xootay, oo wuxuu iga dhigay goolibaadhkii fallaadha.
13 He hath caused to enter into my reins the children of his quiver.
Isagu wuxuu ka dhigay fallaadhihii gabooyihiisu inay kelyahayga galaan.
14 I am become a laughing-stock to all my people, their [jeering] song all the day.
Waxaan dadkaygii oo dhan u noqday wax la quudhsado, oo maalintii oo dhanna gabaygooda way igu halqabsadaan.
15 He hath sated me with bitter things, he hath made me drunken with wormwood.
Wuxuu iga buuxiyey qadhaadh, dacar buuna igu dhergiyey.
16 He hath also broken my teeth with gravel-stones, he hath covered me with ashes.
Ilkahaygii dhagaxyo quruurux ah ayuu ku jejebiyey, oo dambas buu igu daboolay.
17 And my soul hath given up all thoughts of peace: I forget happiness.
Naftaydii nabad waad ka fogaysay, oo barwaaqo iyo wanaag waan illoobay.
18 And I said, Lost is my strength, my expectation also from the Lord.
Waxaan is-idhi, Xooggaygii iyo rajadaydiiba xagga Rabbiga way ka baabbe'een.
19 Remembering my affliction and [the cause of] my complaint, wormwood and poison.
Xusuuso dhibkaygii iyo wareeggaygii, iyo dacartii iyo xammeetidii.
20 Remembering [this] continually my soul is bowed down deeply within me.
Naftaydu iyagay weli soo xusuusataa, oo ceeb bay la foororsatay.
21 [Yet] this answer will I give to my heart: therefore will I wait [in confidence].
Tan uun baan garwaaqsan ahay, sidaas daraaddeed rajaan leeyahay.
22 It is through the Lord's kindness that we are not consumed, because his mercies have no end;
Rabbiga naxariistiisa aawadeed ayaan laynoo baabbi'in, maxaa yeelay, raxmaddiisu ma dhammaato.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Subax walba way cusub yihiin, daacadnimadaaduna way weyn tahay.
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul, therefore will I wait for him.
Naftaydu waxay tidhaahdaa, Rabbigu waa qaybtaydii, sidaas daraaddeed isagaan rajo ku qabi doonaa.
25 The Lord is good unto those that hope in him, to the soul that seeketh him.
Rabbigu waa u roon yahay kuwa isaga rajo ku suga iyo naftii isaga doondoontaba.
26 It is good that one should wait and this in silence for the salvation of the Lord.
Waxaa wanaagsan in badbaadinta Rabbiga rajo iyo aamusnaan lagu sugo.
27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth;
Waxaa wanaagsan in nin harqoodka qaato intuu dhallinyar yahay.
28 That he sit in solitude and be silent; because He hath laid it upon him;
Keligiis ha fadhiisto isagoo aamusan, maxaa yeelay, isagaa kor saaray.
29 That he put his mouth in the dust; perhaps there still is hope;
Afkiisa ciidda ha daro, waxaa suurtowda inay rajo jirto.
30 That he offer his cheek to him that smiteth him; that he be satisfied with reproach.
Dhabankiisa ha u dhiibo mid dharbaaxa, oo cay ha ka dhergo.
31 For the Lord will not cast off for ever;
Waayo, Sayidku ilaa weligiis ma uu sii tuuri doono.
32 But though he have caused grief, yet will he have mercy according to the abundance of his kindnesses.
Maxaa yeelay, inkastoo uu murugeeyo, haddana weli wuu ugu nixi doonaa naxariistiisa badnaanteeda aawadeed.
33 For he doth not afflict of his own will, and aggrieve the children of men.
Waayo, isagu binu-aadmiga kas uma dhibo, umana murugeeyo.
34 To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,
In maxaabiista dunida oo dhan cagaha hoostooda lagu burburiyo,
35 To pervert the justice [due to man] before the face of the Most High.
Iyo in dadka xaqiisa laga leexiyo Ilaaha sare hortiisa,
36 To subvert a man in his contest—should the Lord not see this?
Iyo in nin gartiisa laga qalloociyo, Sayidku raalli kama aha.
37 Who is he that saith aught, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord hath not ordained it?
Waa kee kan wax odhanaya oo ay noqdaan, Sayidkoo aan amrin?
38 Do not out of the mouth of the Most High come both the evil things and the good?
Kan ugu sarreeya afkiisa sow kama soo baxaan belaayo iyo wanaagba?
39 Wherefore should a living man complain? let every man complain because of his sins.
Bal maxaa nin noolu u cabtaa, maxaase nin ciqaabta dembigiisa uga cabtaa?
40 Let us search through and investigate our ways, and let us return to the Lord.
Jidadkeenna aynu baadhno, oo aynu tijaabinno, oo aynu mar kale Rabbiga u soo noqonno.
41 Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.
Qalbigeenna iyo gacmaheenna aynu kor ugu taagno Ilaaha samooyinka ku jira.
42 We have indeed transgressed and rebelled: thou hast truly not pardoned.
Annagu waannu xadgudubnay oo waannu caasiyownay, oo adiguna nama aad saamixin.
43 Thou hast covered [us] with thy anger, and made pursuit after us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.
Cadho baad isku dabooshay, waanad na eryatay, waad na dishay, oo noomana aadan tudhin.
44 Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that no prayer should pass through.
Daruur baad isku dabooshay si aan baryona kuugu soo gudbin.
45 As something loathsome and rejected hast thou rendered us in the midst of the people.
Waxaad dadyowga dhexdooda naga dhigtay uskag iyo wax la nacay.
46 Wide have all our enemies opened against us their mouth.
Cadaawayaashayadii oo dhammu afkay nagu kala qaadeen.
47 Terror and a snare are come upon us, [with] desolation and breaches.
Waxaa noo yimid cabsi iyo yamays, iyo halligaad iyo baabbi'in.
48 With streams of water runneth my eye down, because of the breach of the daughter of my people.
Indhahayga waxaa ka daata durdurro ilmo ah, waana baabbi'inta dadkayga aawadeed.
49 My eye trickleth down, and resteth not, without any intermission,
Indhahaygu had iyo goorba way qubtaan oo innaba ma joogsadaan
50 Till the Lord look down, and behold from heaven.
Ilamaa Rabbigu hoos soo fiiriyo, oo uu samada ka soo eego.
51 My eye affecteth my soul because of all the daughters of my city.
Indhahaygu way ii murugeeyaan gabdhaha magaaladayda oo dhan daraaddood.
52 Those who are my enemies, without a cause, have chased me about like a bird.
Kuwii cadaawayaashayda sababla'aan u ahaa ayaa i ugaadhsaday sida shimbir loo ugaadhsado oo kale.
53 They have shut up in the dungeon my life, and have cast stones upon me.
Waxay bohol iigu rideen si ay naftayda iiga qaadaan, oo dhagax bay igu soo kor tuureen.
54 Waters streamed over my head: I said, I am cut off.
Madaxaygii biyaa ku kor daatay, oo waxaan is-idhi, Waad go'day.
55 I called on thy name, O Lord, out of the dungeon of the lowest depth.
Rabbiyow, anigoo godka ugu dheer ku dhex jira ayaan magacaaga ku baryootamay.
56 Thou didst hear my voice: hide not thy ear to give me enlargement at my cry.
Codkaygii waad maqashay, bal dhegtaada ha ka xidhin neefsashadayda iyo baryadayda.
57 Thou wast ever near on the day that I called on thee: thou saidst, Fear not.
Maalintii aan ku baryay ayaad ii soo dhowaatay, oo waxaad igu tidhi, Ha cabsan.
58 Thou didst plead, O Lord, the causes of my soul: thou didst [before this] redeem my life.
Sayidow, naftayda dacwooyinkeeda waad ii qaadday, waadna i madaxfuratay.
59 Thou hast [now] seen, O Lord, the wrong I suffer: judge thou my cause.
Rabbiyow, gardarradii laygu hayay waad aragtay ee ii garsoor.
60 Thou hast seen all their vengeance, all their plans against me.
Aarsashadoodii oo dhan iyo wixii ay iigu fikireen oo dhanba waad wada aragtay.
61 Thou hast heard their reviling, O Lord, all their plans against me,
Rabbiyow, waad maqashay caydoodii oo dhan iyo wixii ay iigu fikireen oo dhan,
62 The speeches of these that rise up against me, and their device against me all the day.
Iyo wixii kuwa igu kacay bushimahoodii lahaayeen, iyo wixii ay maalintii oo dhan ii qasdiyeenba.
63 Oh look upon their sitting down, and their rising up: I am their [jeering] song.
Bal eeg, markay fadhiyaan iyo markay taagan yihiinba waxaan ahay waxay ka gabyaan.
64 Render unto them a recompense, O Lord, according to the work of their hands.
Rabbiyow, waxaad iyaga siin doontaa abaalgud waafaqsan shuqullada gacmahooda.
65 Give them confusion of heart, thy curse he upon them.
Indhala'aanta qalbiga waad siin doontaa, inkaartaadana korkooda waad ka yeeli doontaa.
66 Pursue them in anger and destroy from under the heavens of the Lord.
Cadho baad ku eryan doontaa oo samadaada hoosteeda iyagaad ka baabbi'in doontaa.
