Lamentations 3
1 I am the man who hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
১আমি সেই লোক, যে সদাপ্রভুর ক্রোধের দণ্ডের মাধ্যমে দুঃখ দেখেছে।
2 Me hath he driven out, and led into darkness, but not into light.
২তিনি আমাকে চালিয়েছেন এবং আমাকে আলোর বদলে অন্ধকারে হাঁটিয়েছেন।
3 Surely against me doth he turn again and again his hand all the day.
৩অবশ্যই তিনি আমার বিরুদ্ধে ফিরে গেছেন; তিনি তাঁর হাত আমার বিরুদ্ধে সারা দিন ধরে ফিরিয়ে নেন।
4 He hath caused my flesh and my skin to wear out, he hath broken my bones.
৪তিনি আমার মাংস ও আমার চামড়া ক্ষয়প্রাপ্ত করেছেন; তিনি আমার হাড়গুলি ভেঙে দিয়েছেন।
5 He hath built around me, and encompassed me with poison and hardship.
৫তিনি আমাকে অবরোধ করেছেন এবং আমাকে তিক্ততা ও কঠিন পরিশ্রমের মাধ্যমে ঘিরে রেখেছেন;
6 In dark places hath he set me to dwell, like the dead of olden times.
৬তিনি আমাকে অন্ধকার জায়গায় বাস করিয়েছেন, দীর্ঘ দিনের র মৃতদের মতো করেছেন।
7 He hath placed a fence round about me, that I cannot get out; he hath made heavy my chain.
৭তিনি আমার চারিদিকে দেওয়াল তুলে দিয়েছেন, যাতে আমি পালাতে না পারি; তিনি আমার শিকল ভারী করে দিয়েছেন।
8 Also when I cry aloud and make entreaty, he shutteth out my prayer.
৮যখন আমি কাঁদি এবং সাহায্যের জন্যে চিত্কার করি, তিনি আমার প্রার্থনা শোনেন না।
9 He hath fenced up my ways with hewn stone, my paths hath he made crooked.
৯তিনি ক্ষোদিত পাথরের দেওয়াল তুলে আমার রাস্তা আঁটকে দিয়েছেন, তিনি সব পথ বাঁকা করেছেন।
10 A bear lying in wait is he to me, a lion in secret places.
১০তিনি আমার কাছে ওৎ পেতে থাকা ভাল্লুকের মতো, একটা লুকিয়ে থাকা সিংহের মতো।
11 On my ways hath he placed thorns, and torn me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.
১১তিনি আমার পথকে অন্য দিকে ঘুরিয়েছেন, তিনি আমাকে টুকরো টুকরো করেছেন এবং আমাকে নিঃসঙ্গ করেছেন।
12 He hath bent his bow, and placed me as a mark for the arrow.
১২তিনি তাঁর ধনুকে টান দিয়েছেন এবং আমাকে তীরের লক্ষ্য হিসাবে চিহ্নিত করেছেন।
13 He hath caused to enter into my reins the children of his quiver.
১৩তিনি তাঁর তূণের তীর আমার হৃদয়ে বিদ্ধ করিয়েছেন।
14 I am become a laughing-stock to all my people, their [jeering] song all the day.
১৪আমি আমার সব লোকদের কাছে হাস্যকর ও দিনের পর দিন তাদের উপহাসের গানের বিষয় হয়েছি।
15 He hath sated me with bitter things, he hath made me drunken with wormwood.
১৫তিনি তিক্ততায় আমাকে ভরে দিয়েছেন এবং তেতো রস পান করতে বাধ্য করেছেন।
16 He hath also broken my teeth with gravel-stones, he hath covered me with ashes.
১৬তিনি কাঁকর দিয়ে আমার দাঁত ভেঙে দিয়েছেন, তিনি আমাকে ছাইয়ের মধ্যে ঠেলে দিয়েছেন।
17 And my soul hath given up all thoughts of peace: I forget happiness.
১৭তুমি আমার জীবন থেকে শান্তি সরিয়ে নিয়েছ; আনন্দ আমি ভুলে গিয়েছি।
18 And I said, Lost is my strength, my expectation also from the Lord.
১৮তাই আমি বললাম, “আমার শক্তি ও সদাপ্রভুতে আমার আশা নষ্ট হয়েছে।”
19 Remembering my affliction and [the cause of] my complaint, wormwood and poison.
১৯মনে কর আমার দুঃখ ও আমার বিপথে যাওয়া, তেতো রস এবং বিষ।
20 Remembering [this] continually my soul is bowed down deeply within me.
২০আমি অবশ্যই তা মনে রাখছি এবং আমি নিজের কাছে নত হচ্ছি।
21 [Yet] this answer will I give to my heart: therefore will I wait [in confidence].
২১কিন্তু আমি আবার মনে করি; তাই আমার আশা আছে।
22 It is through the Lord's kindness that we are not consumed, because his mercies have no end;
২২সদাপ্রভুর দয়ার জন্য আমরা নষ্ট হয়নি; কারণ তাঁর দয়া শেষ হয়নি।
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
২৩প্রতি সকালে সেগুলি নতুন! তোমার বিশ্বস্ততা মহান।
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul, therefore will I wait for him.
২৪আমার প্রাণ বলে, “সদাপ্রভুই আমার অধিকার,” তাই আমি তাঁর উপর আশা করব।
25 The Lord is good unto those that hope in him, to the soul that seeketh him.
২৫সদাপ্রভু তার জন্যই ভালো যে তার অপেক্ষা করে, সেই জীবনের পক্ষে যা তাকে খোঁজে।
26 It is good that one should wait and this in silence for the salvation of the Lord.
২৬সদাপ্রভুর পরিত্রানের জন্য নীরবে অপেক্ষা করাই ভালো।
27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth;
২৭একজন মানুষের পক্ষে যৌবনকালে যোঁয়ালী বহন করা ভালো।
28 That he sit in solitude and be silent; because He hath laid it upon him;
২৮তাকে একা ও নীরবে বসতে দাও, কারণ সদাপ্রভু তার ওপরে যোঁয়ালী চাপিয়েছেন।
29 That he put his mouth in the dust; perhaps there still is hope;
২৯সে ধূলোতে মুখ দিক, তবে হয়তো আশা হলেও হতে পারে।
30 That he offer his cheek to him that smiteth him; that he be satisfied with reproach.
৩০যে তাকে মারছে তার কাছে গাল পেতে দিক। তাকে অপমানে পরিপূর্ণ হতে দাও।
31 For the Lord will not cast off for ever;
৩১কারণ প্রভু চিরকালের জন্য তাকে ত্যাগ করবেন না!
32 But though he have caused grief, yet will he have mercy according to the abundance of his kindnesses.
৩২যদিও দুঃখ দেন, তবুও নিজের মহান দয়া অনুসারে করুণা করবেন।
33 For he doth not afflict of his own will, and aggrieve the children of men.
৩৩কারণ তিনি হৃদয়ের সঙ্গে দুঃখ দেন না, মানুষের সন্তানদের শোকার্ত করেন না।
34 To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,
৩৪লোকে যে পৃথিবীর বন্দীদের সবাইকে পায়ের তলায় পিষে দেয়,
35 To pervert the justice [due to man] before the face of the Most High.
৩৫সর্বশক্তিমানের সামনে মানুষের প্রতি অন্যায় করে,
36 To subvert a man in his contest—should the Lord not see this?
৩৬একজন লোক তার অন্যায় চেপে রাখে, তা সদাপ্রভু কি দেখতে পান না?
37 Who is he that saith aught, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord hath not ordained it?
৩৭প্রভু আদেশ না করলে কার কথা সফল হতে পারে?
38 Do not out of the mouth of the Most High come both the evil things and the good?
৩৮সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বরের মুখ থেকে কি বিপদ ও ভালো বিষয় দুইই বের হয় না?
39 Wherefore should a living man complain? let every man complain because of his sins.
৩৯যে কোনো জীবিত লোক তার পাপের শাস্তির জন্য কেমন করে অভিযোগ করতে পারে?
40 Let us search through and investigate our ways, and let us return to the Lord.
৪০এস, আমরা নিজের নিজের রাস্তা বিচার করি ও পরীক্ষা করি এবং সদাপ্রভুর কাছে ফিরে যাই।
41 Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.
৪১এস, হাতের সঙ্গে হৃদয়কে ও স্বর্গের নিবাসী ঈশ্বরের দিকে হাত উঠাই এবং প্রার্থনা করি:
42 We have indeed transgressed and rebelled: thou hast truly not pardoned.
৪২“আমরা তোমার বিরুদ্ধে পাপ ও বিদ্রোহ করেছি; তাই তুমি ক্ষমা করনি।
43 Thou hast covered [us] with thy anger, and made pursuit after us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.
৪৩তুমি নিজেকে রাগে ঢেকে আমাদেরকে তাড়না করেছ, হত্যা করেছ, দয়া করনি।
44 Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that no prayer should pass through.
৪৪তুমি নিজেকে মেঘে ঢেকে রেখেছ, তাই কোনো প্রার্থনা তা ভেদ করতে পারেনা।
45 As something loathsome and rejected hast thou rendered us in the midst of the people.
৪৫তুমি জাতিদের মধ্যে আমাদেরকে জঞ্জাল ও আবর্জনা করেছ।
46 Wide have all our enemies opened against us their mouth.
৪৬আমাদের সব শত্রু আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে উপহাসের সঙ্গে মুখ খুলেছে।
47 Terror and a snare are come upon us, [with] desolation and breaches.
৪৭ভয় ও ফাঁদ, নির্জনতা ও ধ্বংস আমাদের ওপরে এসেছে।”
48 With streams of water runneth my eye down, because of the breach of the daughter of my people.
৪৮আমার লোকের মেয়ের ধ্বংসের জন্য আমার চোখে জলের ধারা বয়ে যাচ্ছে।
49 My eye trickleth down, and resteth not, without any intermission,
৪৯আমার চোখে সবদিন জলে বয়ে যাচ্ছে, থামে না,
50 Till the Lord look down, and behold from heaven.
৫০যে পর্যন্ত সদাপ্রভু স্বর্গ থেকে নীচু হয়ে না তাকান।
51 My eye affecteth my soul because of all the daughters of my city.
৫১আমার শহরের সমস্ত মেয়ের জন্য আমার চোখ আমার জীবনে কঠিন ব্যথা আনে।
52 Those who are my enemies, without a cause, have chased me about like a bird.
৫২বিনা কারণে যারা আমার শত্রু, তারা আমাকে পাখির মতো শিকার করেছে।
53 They have shut up in the dungeon my life, and have cast stones upon me.
৫৩তারা আমার জীবন কুয়োতে ধ্বংস করেছে এবং আমার ওপরে পাথর ছুঁড়েছে।
54 Waters streamed over my head: I said, I am cut off.
৫৪আমার মাথার ওপর দিয়ে জল বয়ে গেল; আমি বললাম, “আমি ধ্বংস হয়েছি।”
55 I called on thy name, O Lord, out of the dungeon of the lowest depth.
৫৫হে সদাপ্রভু, আমি নীচের গর্তের ভিতর থেকে তোমার নাম ডেকেছি।
56 Thou didst hear my voice: hide not thy ear to give me enlargement at my cry.
৫৬তুমি আমার কন্ঠস্বর শুনেছ; যখন আমি বললাম, “আমার সাহায্যের জন্য তোমার কান লুকিয়ে রেখো না।”
57 Thou wast ever near on the day that I called on thee: thou saidst, Fear not.
৫৭যে দিন আমি তোমাকে ডেকেছি, সেই দিন তুমি আমার কাছে এসেছ এবং আমাকে বলেছ, “ভয় কোরো না।”
58 Thou didst plead, O Lord, the causes of my soul: thou didst [before this] redeem my life.
৫৮হে প্রভু, তুমি আমার জীবনের সমস্ত বিবাদগুলি সমাধান করেছ; আমার জীবন মুক্ত করেছ।
59 Thou hast [now] seen, O Lord, the wrong I suffer: judge thou my cause.
৫৯হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি আমার প্রতি করা অত্যাচার দেখেছ, আমার বিচার ন্যায্যভাবে কর।
60 Thou hast seen all their vengeance, all their plans against me.
৬০ওদের সব প্রতিশোধ ও আমার বিরুদ্ধে করা সমস্ত পরিকল্পনা তুমি দেখেছ।
61 Thou hast heard their reviling, O Lord, all their plans against me,
৬১হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি ওদের অবজ্ঞা ও আমার বিরুদ্ধে করা ওদের সকল পরিকল্পনা শুনেছ;
62 The speeches of these that rise up against me, and their device against me all the day.
৬২যারা আমার বিরুদ্ধে দাঁড়িয়ে বলে এবং তারা আমার বিরুদ্ধে তাদের কথাবার্তা শুনেছ।
63 Oh look upon their sitting down, and their rising up: I am their [jeering] song.
৬৩তাদের বসা ও ওঠা দেখ, হে সদাপ্রভু! আমি তাদের বিদ্রূপের গানের বিষয়।
64 Render unto them a recompense, O Lord, according to the work of their hands.
৬৪হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি তাদের হাতের কাজ অনুসারে প্রতিদান তাদেরকে দেবে।
65 Give them confusion of heart, thy curse he upon them.
৬৫তুমি তাদের হৃদয়ে ভয় দেবে, তোমার অভিশাপ তাদের ওপর পড়বে।
66 Pursue them in anger and destroy from under the heavens of the Lord.
৬৬তুমি তাদেরকে রাগে তাড়া করবে এবং সদাপ্রভু স্বর্গের নীচে থেকে তাদেরকে ধ্বংস করবে।
