Judges 2
1 And a messenger of the Lord came up from Gilgal to Bochim, And he said, I caused you to go up out of Egypt, and I brought you unto the land which I had sworn unto your fathers; and I said, I will not break my covenant with you for ever.
১যিহোৱাৰ দূতে গিলগলৰ পৰা বোখীমলৈ উঠি আহি ইস্রায়েলীসকলক ক’লে, “মই মিচৰ দেশৰ পৰা তোমালোকক বাহিৰ কৰি আনিলো অাৰু যি দেশ দিম বুলি মই তোমালোকৰ পুৰ্বপুৰুষসকলৰ আগত শপত খাইছিলোঁ, সেই দেশলৈ তোমালোকক লৈ আহিলোঁ; মই কৈছিলোঁ, ‘তোমালোকৰ সৈতে স্থাপন কৰা মোৰ নিয়মটি মই কেতিয়াও নাভাঙিম।
2 But ye for your part shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; their altars shall ye throw down; but ye have not obeyed my voice: what is this ye have done?
২তোমালোকেও এই দেশৰ লোকসকলৰ সৈতে কোনো চুক্তি নকৰিবা; সিহঁতৰ বেদিবোৰ ভাঙি পেলাবা।’ কিন্তু তোমালোকে মোৰ কথালৈ কাণ নিদিলা। তোমালোকে কিয় এনে কার্য কৰিলা?
3 And I also have said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be evil neighbors to you, and their gods shall become a snare unto you.
৩এই কাৰণে মই এতিয়া তোমালোকক কওঁ যে, ‘মই তোমালোকৰ ওচৰৰ পৰা কনানীয়াসকলক দূৰ নকৰিম; তেওঁলোক তোমালোকৰ কাৰণে কাঁইটস্বৰূপ হ’ব আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ দেৱতাবোৰ তোমালোকৰ কাৰণে এক ফান্দ হৈ পৰিব’।”
4 And it came to pass, when the messenger of the Lord spoke these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.
৪যিহোৱাৰ দূতে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলক এইবোৰ কথা কোৱাৰ পাছত তেওঁলোক সকলোৱে উচ্চস্বৰে কান্দিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
5 And they called the name of that place, Bochim; and they sacrificed there unto the Lord.
৫যি ঠাইত তেওঁলোকে কান্দিছিল সেই ঠাইৰ নাম বোখীম ৰাখিলে; তেওঁলোকে তাত যিহোৱাৰ উদ্দেশ্যে অনেক বলি উৎসর্গ কৰিলে।
6 And when Joshua had let the people go, the children of Israel went every man unto his inheritance to take possession of the land.
৬যিহোচূৱাই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলক নিজৰ নিজৰ ঠাইলৈ পঠিয়াই দিলে। সেইদৰে তেওঁলোক প্রত্যেকেই যাক যি ভাগ দিয়া হ’ল, সেই ঠাইৰ আধিপত্য লবলৈ গ’ল।
7 And the people served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that lived many days after Joshua, who had seen all the great deeds of the Lord, which he had done for Israel.
৭যিহোচূৱা যিমান দিন জীয়াই আছিল, সিমান দিনলৈকে ইস্রায়েলবাসীয়ে যিহোৱাৰ সেৱা কৰিছিল। যিহোচূৱাৰ মৃত্যুৰ পাছত যিসকল বৃদ্ধলোক জীৱিত আছিল, তেওঁলোকেও নিজৰ জীৱনকালত যিহোৱাৰ সেৱা কৰিছিল। ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকলৰ কাৰণে যিহোৱাই যি যি মহৎ কৰ্ম কৰিছিল; সেইসকলো কর্ম এই বৃদ্ধলোক সকলে দেখিছিল।
8 Then died Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, being one hundred and ten years old.
৮নুনৰ পুত্ৰ যিহোৱাৰ দাস যিহোচূৱাৰ এশ দহ বছৰ বয়সত মৃত্যু হ’ল।
9 And they buried him on the border of his inheritance in Timnath-cheres, in the mountain of Ephraim, on the north side of mount Ga'ash.
৯ইস্রায়েলবাসীয়ে যিহোচূৱাক তেওঁৰ নিজৰ মাটিৰ সীমাৰ ভিতৰৰ তিন্নৎহেৰচ নামৰ ঠাইত মৈদাম দিলে। এই ঠাই গাচ পর্ব্বতৰ উত্তৰত ইফ্ৰয়িমৰ পাহাৰীয়া অঞ্চলত আছিল।
10 And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers; and there arose another generation after them, who knew not the Lord, and likewise not the deeds which he had done for Israel.
১০যিহোচূৱাৰ সমসাময়িক সকলো প্রজন্মই মৃত্যু বৰণ কৰি নিজৰ ওপৰ পিতৃসকলৰ ওচৰলৈ যোৱাৰ পাছত পৰৱর্তী প্রজন্মৰ বৃদ্ধি হবলৈ ধৰিলে। তেওঁলোকে যিহোৱাক নাজানিলে। যিহোৱাই ইস্ৰায়েলবাসীৰ কাৰণে কি কৰিলে তেওঁলোকে সেইবোৰ নাজানিলে।
11 And the children of Israel did the evil in the eyes of the Lord, and served the Be'alim:
১১সেয়ে তেওঁলোকে যিহোৱাৰ দৃষ্টিত যি বেয়া তেনে আচৰণ কৰিবলৈ আৰম্ভ কৰিলে আৰু বাল-দেৱতাবোৰৰ সেৱা-পূজা কৰিব ধৰিলে।
12 And they forsook the Lord the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt, and they went after other gods, of the gods of the nations that were round about them, and they bowed themselves unto them, and incensed the Lord.
১২তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰ-পিতৃসকলৰ যিহোৱা ঈশ্বৰ, যিজনাই মিচৰ দেশৰ পৰা তেওঁলোকক উলিয়াই আনিছিল, তেওঁক তেওঁলোকে ত্যাগ কৰিলে। তেওঁলোকৰ চাৰিওফালে বসবাস কৰা লোক সকলৰ বিভিন্ন দেৱ-দেবীক প্রণিপাত কৰি সেইবোৰৰ পাছত চলিবলৈ ধৰিলে। তেওঁলোকে যিহোৱাৰ ক্রোধ প্রজ্বলিত কৰি তুলিলে।
13 And they forsook the Lord, and served Baal and 'Ashtaroth.
১৩তেওঁলোকে যিহোৱাক ত্যাগ কৰি বাল-দেৱতা আৰু অষ্টাৰেৎ দেবীৰ পূজা কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
14 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of spoilers who spoiled them, and he sold them into the hand of their enemies round about, and they were not able any longer to stand before their enemies.
১৪যিহোৱাৰ ক্রোধ ইস্ৰায়েলবাসীৰ বিৰুদ্ধে জ্বলি উঠাত তেওঁ তেওঁলোকক লুটকাৰীসকলৰ হাতত শোধাই দিলে; সিহঁতে তেওঁলোকক লুট কৰিলে; তেওঁলোকৰ চাৰিওকাষে থকা শত্ৰুবোৰৰ শক্তিশালী হাতত তেওঁলোকক দাসৰূপে বেচিলে; তাতে তেওঁলোকে শত্ৰুবোৰৰ বিৰুদ্ধে থিয় হৈ নিজক পুনৰ ৰক্ষা কৰিব নোৱাৰিলে।
15 Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the Lord was against them for evil, as the Lord had spoken, and as the Lord had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed.
১৫যেতিয়া ইস্রায়েলীয়াসকল যুদ্ধলৈ যায় তেতিয়া যিহোৱাই যিদৰে শপত খাইছিল, সেই অনুসাৰে তেওঁৰ হাত তেওঁলোকৰ পৰাজয়ৰ কাৰণে তেওঁলোকৰ বিপক্ষে আছিল। তাৰ ফলত ইস্রায়েলীয়াসকল ভয়ঙ্কৰ দুর্দ্দশাৰ মাজত আছিল।
16 And the Lord raised up judges, and they delivered them out of the hand of those that spoiled them.
১৬তেতিয়া যিহোৱাই তেওঁলোকৰ মাজত বিচাৰকৰ্ত্তাসকলক নিযুক্ত কৰিলে; ইস্রায়েলসকলক যিসকলে লুট কৰে, তেওঁলোকৰ হাতৰ পৰা এইসকলে তেওঁলোকক উদ্ধাৰ কৰে।
17 But also unto their judges they did not hearken; but they went astray after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers had walked in, to obey the commandments of the Lord; they did not so.
১৭কিন্তু ইস্রায়েলীয়াসকলে বিচাৰকৰ্ত্তাসকলৰ কথাত কাণ নিদিলে; কিয়নো তেওঁলোক যিহোৱাৰ প্রতি বিশ্বাসী নাছিল আৰু আন আন দেৱ-দেৱীৰ ওচৰত নিজকে বেচি ব্যভিচাৰ কৰিলে আৰু সেইবোৰৰ আগত প্ৰণিপাত কৰিছিল; তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰ পিতৃসকলে যিহোৱাৰ আজ্ঞা পালন কৰি বাধ্যতাৰ যি পথত গমণ কৰিছিল, তেওঁলোকে সেই পথত নচলিলে আৰু অচিৰেই সেই পথৰ পৰা আঁতৰি গ’ল।
18 And when the Lord raised them up judges, then was the Lord with the judge, and he delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the Lord bethought himself because of their groaning by reason of those that oppressed them and ill-treated them.
১৮যিহোৱাই যেতিয়া তেওঁলোকৰ কাৰণে কোনো বিচাৰকৰ্ত্তাক নিযুক্তি দিছিল, তেতিয়া তেওঁ সেই বিচাৰকৰ্ত্তাক সহায় কৰিছিল। সেইজন বিচাৰকৰ্ত্তা যিমান দিনলৈকে জীয়াই থাকে, সিমান দিনলৈকে যিহোৱাই শত্ৰুবোৰৰ হাতৰ পৰা ইস্রায়েলক উদ্ধাৰ কৰিছিল; অত্যাচাৰীবোৰৰ হাতত উপদ্ৰৱ আৰু তাড়না পাই তেওঁলোকে যেতিয়া কন্দা-কটা কৰে, তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকৰ প্রতি যিহোৱাৰ দয়া ওপজে।।
19 And it came to pass, when the judge died, that they returned, and became more corrupt than their fathers, in going after other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them: they omitted nothing from their doings, and from their stubborn way.
১৯কিন্তু সেই বিচাৰকৰ্ত্তা মৰিলেই তেওঁলোকে পুনৰ ঘূৰি দেৱ-দেৱীবোৰৰ পাছত চলি পূজা-অর্চনা আৰু সেৱা-উপাসনাত ব্রতী হয়; তেওঁলোকে পূর্বপুৰুষসকলতকৈও অধিক ভ্রষ্টাচাৰৰ পথলৈ উলটি যায়। তেওঁলোকে একোতেই নিজৰ দুষ্ট অভ্যাস আৰু গোড়ামিৰ পথ নেৰে।
20 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel; and he said, For the cause that this people have transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice:
২০সেয়ে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে যিহোৱাৰ ক্ৰোধ জ্বলি উঠাত তেওঁ ক’লে, “এই জাতিৰ পূর্বপুৰুষসকলৰ লগত মই যি ব্যৱস্থাৰ চুক্তি কৰিছিলোঁ, তাক এওঁলোকে উলঙ্ঘন কৰিলে আৰু মোৰ কথাও নুশুনিলে।
21 So will I also for my part not drive out henceforth any man from before them out of the nations which Joshua left when he died;
২১এই হেতুকে যিহোচূৱাৰ মৃত্যুৰ সময়ত যি সকলো অন্য জাতি এই দেশত অৱশিষ্ট থাকি গ’ল, মই সেইসকলক ইস্রায়েলৰ সন্মুখৰ পৰা পুনৰ দূৰ নকৰিম।
22 In order to prove through them the Israelites, whether they will keep the way of the Lord, to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it, or not.
২২ইস্ৰায়েলবাসীয়ে তেওঁলোকৰ পূর্বপুৰুষসকলে চলাৰ দৰে যিহোৱাৰ পথত চলে নে নচলে, এইসকল জাতিৰ যোগেদিয়েই মই তেওঁলোকৰ পৰীক্ষা কৰিম।”
23 And thus did the Lord leave these nations, so as not to drive them out speedily; and he delivered them not into the hand of Joshua.
২৩এই কাৰণতে যিহোৱাই সেই জাতিবোৰক শীঘ্ৰে বাহিৰ নকৰি দেশত ৰাখি থলে। তেওঁ যিহোচূৱাৰ হাততো তেওঁলোকক সমৰ্পণ নকৰিলে।
