Joshua 21
1 Then came near the heads of the divisions of the Levites unto Elazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the divisions of the tribes of the children of Israel;
Da traten herzu die obersten Väter unter den Leviten zu dem Priester Eleasar und Josua, dem Sohn Nuns, und zu den obersten Vätern unter den Stämmen der Kinder Israel;
2 And they spoke unto them at Shiloh, in the land of Canaan, saying, The Lord commanded by the hand of Moses to give unto us cities to dwell in, with the open spaces thereof for our cattle.
und redeten mit ihnen zu Silo im Lande Kanaan und sprachen: Der HERR hat geboten durch Mose, daß man uns Städte geben solle, zu wohnen, und derselben Vorstädte zu unserm Vieh.
3 And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites from their inheritance, at the order of the Lord, these cities and their open spaces.
Da gaben die Kinder Israel den Leviten von ihren Erbteilen nach dem Befehl des HERRN diese Städte und ihre Vorstädte.
4 And the lot came out for the families of the Kehathites: and the children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, obtained from the tribe of Judah, and from the tribe of Simeon, and from the tribe of Benjamin, by lot, thirteen cities.
Und das Los fiel auf das Geschlecht der Kahathiter, und wurden den Kindern Aarons, des Priesters, aus den Leviten durchs Los dreizehn Städte: von dem Stamm Juda, von dem Stamm Simeon und von dem Stamm Benjamin.
5 And the rest of the children of Kehath obtained from the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and from the tribe of Dan, and from the half tribe of Menasseh, by lot, ten cities.
Den andern Kindern aber Kahaths, desselben Geschlechts, wurden durchs Los zehn Städte: von dem Stamm Ephraim, von dem Stamm Dan und von dem halben Stamm Manasse.
6 And the children of Gershon obtained from the families of the tribe of Issachar, and from the tribe of Asher, and from the tribe of Naphtali, and from the half tribe of Menasseh in Bashan, by lot, thirteen cities.
Aber den Kindern Gersons, desselben Geschlechts, wurden durchs Los dreizehn Städte: von dem Stamm Isaschar, von dem Stamm Asser und von dem Stamm Naphthali und von dem halben Stamm Manasse zu Basan.
7 The children of Merari after their families obtained from the tribe of Reuben, and from the tribe of Gad, and from the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
Den Kindern Meraris, ihres Geschlechts, wurden zwölf Städte: von dem Stamm Ruben, von dem Stamm Gad und von dem Stamm Sebulon.
8 And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites these cities with their open spaces, as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses, by lot.
Also gaben die Kinder Israel den Leviten durchs Los diese Städte und ihre Vorstädte, wie der HERR durch Mose geboten hatte.
9 And they gave from the tribe of the children of Judah, and from the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are called by name.
Von dem Stamm der Kinder Juda und von dem Stamm der Kinder Simeon gaben sie diese Städte, die sie mit ihren Namen nannten,
10 And the children of Aaron, of the families of the Kehathites, of the children of Levi, obtained them; —for they had the first lot.
den Kindern Aarons, des Geschlechts der Kahathiter, aus den Kindern Levi; denn das erste Los war ihr.
11 And they gave unto them Kiryath-arba', [the father of 'Anak, ] which is Hebron, in the mountain of Judah, with the open spaces thereof round about it;
So gaben sie ihnen nun Kiriath-Arba, die des Vaters Enaks war, das ist Hebron, auf dem Gebirge Juda, und ihre Vorstädte um sie her.
12 But the fields of the city, and its villages, they gave to Caleb the son of Yephunneh for his possession.
Aber den Acker der Stadt und ihre Dörfer gaben sie Kaleb, dem Sohn Jephunnes, zu seinem Erbe.
13 And to the children of Aaron the priest they gave the city of refuge for the manslayer, Hebron with its open spaces, and Libnah with its open spaces,
Also gaben sie den Kindern Aarons, des Priesters, die Freistadt der Totschläger, Hebron und ihre Vorstädte, Libna und ihre Vorstädte,
14 And Yattir with its open spaces, and Eshtemoa' with its open spaces.
Jathir und ihre Vorstädte, Esthemoa und ihre Vorstädte,
15 And Cholon with its open spaces, and Debir with its open spaces,
Holon und ihre Vorstädte, Debir und ihre Vorstädte,
16 And 'Ayin with its open spaces, and Yuttah with its open spaces, and Beth-shemesh with its open spaces: nine cities from those two tribes.
Ain und ihre Vorstädte, Juta und ihre Vorstädte, Beth-Semes und ihre Vorstädte; neun Städte von diesen zween Stämmen.
17 And from the tribe of Benjamin, Gib'on with its open spaces, Geba' with its open spaces,
Von dem Stamm Benjamin aber gaben sie vier Städte: Gibeon und ihre Vorstädte, Geba und ihre Vorstädte,
18 'Anathoth with its open spaces, and 'Almon with its open spaces: four cities.
Anathoth und ihre Vorstädte, Almon und ihre Vorstädte,
19 All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their open spaces.
daß alle Städte der Kinder Aarons, des Priesters, waren dreizehn mit ihren Vorstädten.
20 And the families of the children of Kehath, the Levites, who remained of the children of Kehath, obtained the cities of their lot from the tribe of Ephraim.
Den Geschlechtern aber der andern Kinder Kahaths, den Leviten, wurden durch ihr Los vier Städte von dem Stamm Ephraim.
21 And they gave to them the city of refuge for the manslayer, Shechem with its open spaces in the mountain of Ephraim, and Gezer with its open spaces,
Und gaben ihnen die Freistadt der Totschläger, Sechem und ihre Vorstädte auf dem Gebirge Ephraim, Geser und ihre Vorstädte,
22 And Kibzayim with its open spaces, and Beth-choron with its open spaces: four cities.
Kibzaim und ihre Vorstädte, Beth-Horon und ihre Vorstädte.
23 And from the tribe of Dan, Elteke with its open spaces, Gibbethon with its open spaces,
Von dem Stamm Dan vier Städte: Eltheke und ihre Vorstädte, Gibthon und ihre Vorstädte,
24 Ayalon with its open spaces, Gath-rimmon with its open spaces: four cities.
Ajalon und ihre Vorstädte, Gath-Rimon und ihre Vorstädte.
25 And from the half tribe of Menasseh, Ta'nach with its open spaces, and Gath-rimmon with its open spaces: two cities.
Von dem halben Stamm Manasse zwo Städte: Thaenach und ihre Vorstädte, Gath-Rimon und ihre Vorstädte,
26 All the cities were ten with their open spaces for the families of the children of Kehath that remained.
daß alle Städte der andern Kinder des Geschlechts Kahath waren zehn mit ihren Vorstädten.
27 And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, [they gave] from the other half tribe of Menasseh the city of refuge for the manslayer, Golan in Bashan with its open spaces, and Be'eshterah with its open spaces: two cities.
Den Kindern aber Gersons aus den Geschlechtern der Leviten wurden gegeben von dem halben Stamm Manasse zwo Städte: die Freistadt für die Totschläger, Golan in Basan und ihre Vorstädte, Beesthra und ihre Vorstädte.
28 And from the tribe of Issachar, Kishyon with its open spaces, Daberath with its open spaces,
Von dem Stamm Isaschar vier Städte: Kision und ihre Vorstädte, Dabrath und ihre Vorstädte,
29 Yarmuth with its open spaces, 'En-gannim with its open spaces: four cities.
Jarmuth und ihre Vorstädte, En-Gannim und ihre Vorstädte.
30 And from the tribe of Asher, Mishal with its open spaces, Abdon with its open spaces.
Von dem Stamm Asser vier Städte: Miseal und ihre Vorstädte, Abdon und ihre Vorstädte,
31 Chelkath with its open spaces, and Rechob with its open spaces: four cities.
Helkath und ihre Vorstädte, Rehob und ihre Vorstädte.
32 And from the tribe of Naphtali, the city of refuge for the manslayer, Kedesh in Galilee with its open spaces, and Chammothdor with its open spaces, and Karthan with its open spaces: three cities.
Von dem Stamm Naphthali drei Städte: die Freistadt Kedes für die Totschläger in Galiläa und ihre Vorstädte, Hammoth-Dor und ihre Vorstädte, Karthan und ihre Vorstädte,
33 All the cities of the Gershunites according to their families were thirteen cities with their open spaces.
daß alle Städte des Geschlechts der Gersoniter waren dreizehn mit ihren Vorstädten.
34 And unto the families of the children of Merari, the remainder of the Levites, [they gave] from the tribe of Zebulun, Yokne'am with its open spaces, and Karthah with its open spaces,
Den Geschlechtern aber der Kinder Meraris, den andern Leviten, wurden gegeben von dem Stamm Sebulon vier Städte: Jakneam und ihre Vorstädte, Kartha und ihre Vorstädte,
35 Dimnah with its open spaces, Nahalal with its open spaces: four cities.
Dimna und ihre Vorstädte, Nahalal und ihre Vorstädte.
Von dem Stamm Ruben vier Städte: Bezer und ihre Vorstädte, Jahza und ihre Vorstädte,
Kedemoth und ihre Vorstädte, Mephaath und ihre Vorstädte.
38 And from the tribe of Gad, the city of refuge for the manslayer, Ramoth in Gil'ad with its open spaces, and Machanayim with its open spaces,
Von dem Stamm Gad vier Städte: die Freistadt für die Totschläger, Ramoth in Gilead und ihre Vorstädte,
39 Cheshbon with its open spaces, Ya'zer with its open spaces: four cities in all.
Mahanaim und ihre Vorstädte, Hesbon und ihre Vorstädte, Jaeser und ihre Vorstädte,
40 All the cities for the children of Merari after their families, they who were remaining of the families of the Levites, even their lot was twelve cities.
daß aller Städte der Kinder Meraris unter ihren Geschlechtern, der andern Leviten, nach ihrem Los waren zwölf.
41 All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the children of Israel were forty and eight cities with their open spaces.
Aller Städte der Leviten unter dem Erbe der Kinder Israel waren achtundvierzig mit ihren Vorstädten.
42 These cities were every one with their open spaces round about them: thus it was with all these cities.
Und eine jegliche dieser Städte hatte ihre Vorstadt um sich her, eine wie die andere.
43 And the Lord gave unto Israel all the land which he had sworn to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
Also gab der HERR dem Israel alles Land, das er geschworen hatte, ihren Vätern zu geben; und sie nahmen's ein und wohneten drinnen.
44 And the Lord gave them rest round about, all just as he had sworn unto their fathers: and there stood not up before them a man of all their enemies; all their enemies the Lord delivered into their hand.
Und der HERR gab ihnen Ruhe von allen umher, wie er ihren Vätern geschworen hatte; und stund ihrer Feinde keiner wider sie, sondern alle ihre Feinde gab er in ihre Hände.
45 There failed not aught of all the good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel: it all came to pass.
Und es fehlte nichts an allem Guten, das der HERR dem Hause Israel geredet hatte. Es kam alles.
