Joshua 17
1 And then came the lot for the tribe of Menasseh; for he was the first-born of Joseph: to wit, for Machir the first-born of Menasseh, the father of Gil'ad; because he was a man of war, therefore he obtained Gil'ad and Bashan.
Ug kini mao ang nahulog sa palad sa banay ni Manases; kay siya ang kamagulangan nga anak nga lalake ni Jose. Mahitungod kang Machir, ang kamagulangan ni Manases, ang amahan ni Galaad, tungod kay siya usa ka tawo sa gubat, busa naiya ang Galaad ug ang Basan.
2 There was also a lot for the rest of the children of Menasseh after their families; for the children of Abi'ezer, and for the children of Chelek, and for the children of Assriel, and for the children of Shechem, and for the children of Chepher, and for the children of Shemida': these were the male children of Menasseh the son of Joseph after their families.
Busa ang maong bahin alang sa ubang mga anak ni Manases, sumala sa ilang mga panimalay; alang sa mga anak ni Helec, ug alang sa mga anak ni Esriel, ug alang sa mga anak ni Sichem, ug alang sa mga anak ni Heper, ug alang sa mga anak ni Semida; kini mao ang mga anak nga lalake ni Manases, ug ang anak nga lalake ni Jose, sumala sa ilang mga panimalay.
3 But Zelophchad, the son of Chepher, the son of Gil'ad, the son of Machir, the son of Menasseh, had no sons, but only daughters, and these are the names of his daughters, Machlah, and No'ah, Choglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
Apan si Salpaad, anak nga lalake ni Heper, ang anak nga lalake ni Galaad, ang anak nga lalake ni Machir, ang anak nga lalake ni Manases, walay mga anak nga lalake, kondili mga babaye: ug kini mao ang mga ngalan sa iyang mga anak nga babaye: Maala, ug Noa, Hogla, Milcha, ug Tirsa.
4 And they came near before Elazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, The Lord commanded Moses to give unto us an inheritance among our brethren. And he gave them, according to the order of the Lord, an inheritance among the brethren of their father.
Ug mingduol sila sa atubangan ni Eleazar, ang sacerdote, ug sa atubangan ni Josue, ang anak nga lalake ni Nun, ug sa atubangan sa mga principe, nga nagaingon: Si Jehova nagsugo kang Moises sa paghatag kanamo ug panulondon uban sa among mga igsoon: busa sumala sa sugo ni Jehova iyang gihatagan sila ug panulondon uban sa mga igsoon sa ilang amahan.
5 And there fell ten portions of Menasseh, beside the lands of Gil'ad and Bashan, which were on the other side of the Jordan;
Ug may napulo ka bahin nga nabahin kang Manases, labut pa sa yuta sa Galaad ug sa Basan, nga anaa sa unahan sa Jordan;
6 Because the daughters of Menasseh obtained an inheritance among his sons: and the land of Gil'ad belonged to the rest of the sons of Manasseh.
Tungod kay ang mga anak nga babaye ni Manases may mga panulondon uban sa iyang mga anak nga lalake. Ug ang yuta sa Galaad naangkon sa uban nga mga anak nga lalake ni Manases.
7 And the boundary of Menasseh was from Asher to Michmethath, that lieth before Shechem; and the boundary went along on the right hand unto the inhabitants of 'En-tappuach.
Ug ang utlanan ni Manases magsukad sa Aser ngadto sa Mikmetath, nga anaa sa atbang sa Sichem; ug ang utlanand mipaingon ngadto sa too, ngadto sa mga namuyo sa Entappua.
8 To Menasseh belonged the land of Tappuach; but Tappuach on the borders of Menasseh belonged to the children of Ephraim;
Ang yuta sa Tapua sakup ni Manases; apan ang Tapua sa utlanan ni Manases, nahisakup sa mga anak ni Ephraim.
9 And the boundary descended unto the brook Kanah, southward of the brook; these cities belonging to Ephraim are in the midst of the cities of Menasseh; and the boundary of Menasseh was on the north side of the river, and its terminations were toward the sea:
Ug ang utlanan milugsong ngadto sa sapa sa Cana, paingon ngadto sa habagatan sa suba; kining mga ciudara nahisakup sa Ephraim diha sa mga ciudad ni Manases: ug ang utlanan ni Manases anaa sa amihanan nga daplin sa sapa ug ang mga gulaanan didto napaingon ngadto sa dagat.
10 Southward it was Ephraim's, and northward it was Menasseh's, and the sea was [there] his boundary; and on Asher they touched on the north, and on Issachar on the east.
Dapit sa habagatan kang Ephraim ug ang dapit sa amihanan kang Manases, ug ang dagat maoy iyang utlanan; ug sila nangabut ngadto sa Aser dapit sa amihanan, ug ngadto sa Isacchar dapit sa silangan.
11 And to Menasseh belonged in Issachar and in Asher Beth-shean and its towns, and Yible'am and its towns, together with the inhabitants of Dor and its towns, and the inhabitants of 'En-dor and its towns, and the inhabitants of Ta'anach and its towns, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and its towns, namely the three districts.
Ug sa Isacchar ug sa Aser iya ni Manases ang Beth-sean ug ang iyang mga lungsod, ug ang Ibleam ug ang iyang mga lungsod, ug ang mga pumoluyo sa Dor ug ang iyang mga lungsod, ug ang mga pumoluyo sa Endor, ug ang iyang mga lungsod, ug ang mga pumoluyo sa Taanach ug ang iyang mga lungsod, ug ang mga pumoluyo sa Megiddo ug ang iyang mga lungsod bisan ang totolo ka mga kahitas-an.
12 Yet the children of Menasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of these cities; but the Canaanites succeeded to dwell in this land;
Apan ang mga anak ni Manases wala makapapahawa sa mga pumoluyo niadtong mga ciudara; ang mga Canaanhon mopuyo hinoon niadtong yutaa.
13 Yet it came to pass, when the children of Israel were become strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute; but they did not drive them out.
Ug nahitabo nga sa makusganon na ang mga anak sa Israel, ilang gibutang ang mga Canaanhon sa mga bulohaton sa pintakasi, ug wala nila sila papahawaa.
14 And the children of Joseph spoke unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me but one lot and one portion as an inheritance, seeing I am a numerous people, to which extent the Lord hath hitherto blessed me?
Ug ang mga anak ni Jose misulti kang Josue, nga nagaingon: Nganong gihatagan mo ako ug usa ka pahat ug usa ka bahin ingon nga panulondon, sa nagatan-aw ka nga ako usa ka dakung katawohan, kay si Jehova nagpanalangin kanako sa ingon niini hangtud karon?
15 And Joshua said unto them, If thou art a numerous people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down [a space] for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the Rephaim, if the mountain of Ephraim be too narrow for thee.
Ug si Josue miingon kanila: Kong ikaw usa ka dakung katawohan, umadto kamo sa kakahoyan ug magapamutol didto alang kanimo sa yuta sa mga Peresehanon ug sa mga Raphaimnon, sanglit ang mga kabungtoran sa Ephraim sigpit ra kaayo alang kanimo.
16 And the children of Joseph said, The mountain will not be enough for us; and chariots of iron are belonging to all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley, to those who are at Beth-shean and its towns, and to those who are in the valley of Yizre'el.
Ug ang mga anak ni Josue miingon: Ang kabungtoran dili igo alang kanamo; ug ang tibook Canaanhon nga namuyo sa walog may mga carro nga puthaw, sila nga namuyo sa Beth-sean ug sa iyang mga lungsod, ug sila namuyo sa walog sa Jesreel.
17 And Joshua said unto the house of Joseph, to Ephraim and to Menasseh, as followeth, Thou art a numerous people, and hast great power; thou shalt not have one lot only;
Ug si Josue misulti sa balay ni Josue, kang Ephraim ug kang Manases, nga nagaingon: Ikaw usa ka dakung katawohan, ug may dakung gahum; dili kay usa lamang ka bahin ang mamaimo:
18 But the mountain shall be thine; it is indeed a wood, yet thou canst cut it down; and the terminations of it shall be thine; for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, though they be strong.
Apan ang mga kabungtoran mamaimo; kay bisan matuod nga kana kakahoyan, putla kana, ug ang tanang gulaanan niana mamaimo; kay imong pagapapahawaon ang mga Canaanhon, ug bisan sila may mga carrong puthaw, ug bisan sila mga kusgan.
