Joshua 13

1 Now Joshua was old, well stricken in years; and the Lord said unto him, Thou art old, stricken in years, and of the land there remaineth yet very much to be taken possession of.

Setelah Yosua menjadi tua dan lanjut umurnya, berfirmanlah TUHAN kepadanya: "Engkau telah tua dan lanjut umur, dan dari negeri ini masih amat banyak yang belum diduduki.

2 This is the land that yet remaineth: All the circles of the Philistines, and all [the land of the] Geshurites,

Inilah negeri yang tertinggal: segenap wilayah orang Filistin dan seluruh negeri orang Gesur,

3 From the Shichor, which runneth before Egypt, even unto the boundary of 'Ekron northward, is counted to the Canaanites; the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazzathites, and the Ashdodites, the Eshkelonites, the Gittites, and the 'Ekronites; also the 'Avvim;

mulai dari sungai Sikhor di sebelah timur Mesir sampai ke daerah Ekron ke arah utara--semuanya itu terhitung tanah orang Kanaan--; ada lima raja kota orang Filistin, yakni di Gaza, di Asdod, di Askelon, di Gat dan di Ekron--; dan orang Awi

4 On the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Me'arah that belongeth to the Zidonians, up to Aphek, up to the border of the Emorites;

di sebelah selatan; seluruh negeri orang Kanaan dan Meara, kepunyaan orang Sidon, sampai ke Afek, sampai ke daerah orang Amori;

5 And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the rising of the sun, from Ba'al-gad under mount Chermon up to the entrance of Chamath.

selanjutnya negeri orang Gebal dan seluruh gunung Libanon di sebelah matahari terbit, mulai dari Baal-Gad di kaki gunung Hermon sampai ke jalan yang menuju ke Hamat;

6 All the inhabitants of the mountain from Lebanon unto Missrephoth-mayim, all the Zidonians: these will I drive out from before the children of Israel; only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

semua orang yang diam di pegunungan, mulai dari gunung Libanon sampai ke Misrefot-Maim; semua orang Sidon. Aku sendiri akan menghalau mereka dari depan orang Israel; hanya undikanlah dahulu negeri itu di antara orang Israel menjadi milik pusaka mereka, seperti yang Kuperintahkan kepadamu.

7 And now divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Menasseh.

Oleh sebab itu, bagikanlah negeri ini kepada suku yang sembilan itu dan kepada suku Manasye yang setengah itu menjadi milik pusaka mereka."

8 With him the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave unto them, beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of the Lord hath given them;

Bersama-sama dengan suku Manasye yang setengah lagi, orang Ruben dan orang Gad telah menerima milik pusaka mereka, yang telah diberikan Musa kepada mereka di sebelah timur sungai Yordan, seperti yang ditentukan Musa, hamba TUHAN itu, kepada mereka,

9 From 'Aro'er, that is upon the bank of the brook Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the brook, and all the plain of Medeba up to Dibon;

yakni mulai dari Aroer, yang di tepi sungai Arnon, kota pada pertengahan sungai itu, dan seluruh dataran tinggi, dari Medeba sampai ke Dibon;

10 And all the cities of Sichon the king of the Emorites, who reigned over Cheshbon, up to the border of the children of 'Ammon;

dan segala kota Sihon, raja orang Amori, yang berkerajaan di Hesybon, sampai ke daerah orang Amon;

11 And Gil'ad, and the territory of the Geshurites and Ma'achathites, and all mount Chermon, and all Bashan up to Salchah;

selanjutnya Gilead dan daerah orang Gesur dan orang Maakha, serta seluruh gunung Hermon dan seluruh tanah Basan sampai ke Salkha,

12 All the kingdom of 'Og in Bashan, who reigned in 'Ashtaroth and in Edre'i; who had been left of the remnant of the Rephaim; and Moses smote them, and cast them out.

seluruh kerajaan Og di Basan, yang memerintah di Asytarot dan Edrei, dialah yang tinggal hidup dari sisa-sisa orang Refaim yang telah dikalahkan dan dihalau oleh Musa.

13 Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites; but the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites continued to dwell in the midst of the Israelites until this day.

Tetapi orang Israel tidak menghalau orang Gesur dan orang Maakha itu, sehingga Gesur dan Maakha masih tetap diam di tengah-tengah Israel sampai sekarang.

14 Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance: the fire-offerings of the Lord, the God of Israel, are their inheritance, as he hath spoken unto them.

Hanya kepada suku Lewi tidak diberikan milik pusaka: yang menjadi milik pusakanya ialah TUHAN, Allah Israel, seperti yang dijanjikan-Nya kepada mereka.

15 And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their families;

Kepada suku bani Ruben, menurut kaum-kaum mereka, telah diberikan Musa bagian ini:

16 And their territory was from 'Aro'er, that is on the bank of the brook Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the brook, and all the plain by Medeba;

daerah kepunyaan mereka mulai dari Aroer yang di tepi sungai Arnon, kota pada pertengahan sungai itu, dan seluruh dataran tinggi dekat Medeba;

17 Cheshbon, and all its cities that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamoth-ba'al, and Beth-ba'al-me'on,

Hesybon dan segala kotanya, yang di dataran tinggi, yakni Dibon, Bamot-Baal, Bet-Baal-Meon,

18 And Yahzah, and Kedemoth, and Mepha'ath,

Yahas, Kedemot, Mefaat,

19 And Kiryathayim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-hashachar on the mount of the valley,

Kiryataim, Sibma, Zeret-Hasahar di atas gunung di lembah itu,

20 And Beth-pe'or, and the declivities of Pisgah, and Beth-hayeshimoth,

Bet-Peor, lereng-lereng gunung Pisga, Bet-Yesimot,

21 And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sichon the king of the Emorites, who reigned in Cheshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Chur, and Reba', the dukes of Sichon, the dwellers of the country.

selanjutnya segala kota di dataran tinggi itu dan seluruh kerajaan Sihon, raja orang Amori, yang memerintah di Hesybon, yang dikalahkan oleh Musa; bersama-sama dia juga dikalahkannya raja-raja Midian, yakni Ewi, Rekem, Zur, Hur dan Reba, raja-raja bawahan Sihon, penduduk negeri itu.

22 And Bil'am the son of Be'or, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among their slain.

Juga Bileam bin Beor, juru tenung itu, telah dibunuh oleh orang Israel dengan pedang, beserta orang-orang yang telah mati tertikam oleh mereka.

23 And the boundary of the children of Reuben was the Jordan, and its bordering territory. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities and their villages.

Jadi batas daerah bani Ruben ialah sungai Yordan dengan daerah pinggirnya. Itulah milik pusaka bani Ruben menurut kaum-kaum mereka, yakni kota-kota dengan desa-desanya.

24 And Moses gave unto the tribe of Gad, unto the children of Gad according to their families;

Kepada suku Gad, yakni kepada bani Gad menurut kaum-kaum mereka, telah diberikan Musa bagian ini:

25 And their territory was Ya'zer, and all the cities of Gil'ad, and half the land of the children of 'Ammon, up to 'Aro'er that is before Rabbah;

daerah kepunyaan mereka ialah Yaezer dan segala kota negeri Gilead, serta setengah negeri orang Amon sampai ke Aroer, yang di sebelah timur Raba,

26 And from Cheshbon unto Ramath-mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Machanayim up to the border of Debir;

yakni mulai dari Hesybon sampai ke Ramat-Mizpa dan Betonim, dan dari Mahanaim sampai ke daerah Debir;

27 And in the valley, Beth-haram, and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sichon the king of Cheshbon, the Jordan and its bordering territory, up to the edge of the sea of Kinnereth on the other side of the Jordan eastward.

dan di lembah: Bet-Haram, Bet-Nimra, Sukot dan Zafon, sisa kerajaan Sihon, raja Hesybon; sungai Yordan dengan daerah pinggirnya, sampai ke ujung danau Kineret, di sebelah timur sungai Yordan.

28 This is the inheritance of the children of Gad after their families, the cities and their villages.

Itulah milik pusaka bani Gad menurut kaum-kaum mereka, yakni kota-kota dengan desa-desanya.

29 And Moses gave unto the half tribe of Menasseh; and it belonged to the half tribe of the children of Menasseh after their families;

Kepada suku Manasye yang setengah itu, yakni kepada puak bani Manasye yang setengah itu, menurut kaum-kaum mereka, telah diberikan Musa bagian ini:

30 And their territory was from Machanayim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of 'Og the king of Bashan, and all the villages of Ya'ir, which are in Bashan, sixty cities;

daerah mereka mulai dari Mahanaim: seluruh Basan, seluruh kerajaan Og, raja Basan, dan segenap Hawot-Yair, yang di Basan itu, enam puluh kota banyaknya;

31 And half Gil'ad and 'Ashtaroth, and Edre'i, the cities of the kingdom of 'Og in Bashan, [belonged] unto the children of Machir the son of Menasseh, even to the one half of the children of Machir after their families.

selanjutnya setengah Gilead, Asytarot dan Edrei, kota-kota kerajaan Og di Basan, menjadi bagian bani Makhir, anak Manasye, yaitu bagian setengah bani Makhir menurut kaum-kaum mereka.

32 These are they to whom Moses did distribute an inheritance in the plans of Moab, on the other side of the Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.

Itulah semuanya yang dibagikan Musa sebagai milik pusaka di dataran Moab di sebelah timur sungai Yordan dekat Yerikho.

33 But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not any inheritance: the Lord the God of Israel is himself their inheritance, as he hath spoken unto them.

Tetapi kepada suku Lewi Musa tidak memberikan milik pusaka: TUHAN, Allah Israel, Dialah yang menjadi milik pusaka mereka, seperti yang dijanjikan-Nya kepada mereka.
