Joshua 12

1 And these are the kings of the land whom the children of Israel smote, and whose land they took possession of on the other side of the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Chermon, and all the plain on the east:

Basi hawa ndio wafalme wa nchi, ambao watu wa Israeli walishindwa. Waisraeli walichukua miliki ya nchi katika upande wa mashariki mwa Yordani sehemu ambako jua huchomoza, kutoka bonde la Mto Arnoni hadi Mlima Hermoni, na nchi yote ya Araba kuelekea kusini.

2 Sichon the king of the Emorites, who dwelt in Cheshbon, and ruled from 'Aro'er, which is upon the bank of the brook Arnon, and over the land in the middle of the brook, and from half Gil'ad, even unto the brook Yabbok, the boundary of the children of 'Ammon;

Sihoni, mfalme wa Waamori, aliishi katika Heshiboni. Alitawala kutoka Aroeri, ambayo iko juu ya bonde la Arnoni kutoka katikati ya bonde, na nusu ya Geleadi kushuka mpaka Mto Yaboki katika mpaka wa Waamori.

3 And over the plain up to the sea of Kinneroth on the east, and up to the sea of the plain, the salt sea on the east, on the way to Beth-hayeshimoth; and at the south, under the declivities of Pisgah;

Sihoni pia alitawala juu ya Araba mpaka Bahari ya Kinerethi, kwenda mashariki, kuelekea Bahari ya Araba (Bahari ya Chumvi) upande wa mashariki, hadi huko Bethi Yeshimothi na upande wa kusini, kuelekea chini ya miteremko wa Mlima Pisiga.

4 And the territory of 'Og the king of Bashan, who was of the remnant of the Rephaim, that dwelt at 'Ashtaroth and at Edre'i,

Ogu, mfalme wa Bashani, mmoja kati ya mabaki ya Rephaimu, aliyeishi huko Shatarothi na Edrei.

5 And reigned over mount Chermon, and over Salchah, and over all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites, and half Gil'ad, [to] the boundary of Sichon the king of Cheshbon.

Alitawala juu ya Mlima Hermoni, Saleka, na Bahani yote, hadi mpaka wa watu wa Geshuri na Wamakathi, na nusu ya Gleadi, hadi kufika mpaka wa Sihohi, mfalme wa Heshboni.

6 These did Moses the servant of the Lord and the children of Israel smite; and Moses the servant of the Lord gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh.

Musa mtumishi wa Yahweh, na watu wa Israeli walikuwa wamewashinda, na Musa mtumishi wa Yahweh aliwapa nchi kama mali ya Wareubeni, Wagadi na nusu ya kabila la Manase.

7 And these are the kings of the country whom Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side of the Jordan on the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon as far as the bald mountain, that goeth up to Seir; and Joshua gave it unto the tribes of Israel for a possession, according to their divisions;

Hawa ndio wafalme wa nchi ambayo Yoshua na watu wa Israeli waliwashinda katika upande wa magharibi mwa mto Yordani, kutoka Baali Gadi katika bonde karibu na Lebanoni hadi Mlima Halaki karibu na Edom. Yoshua aliyapa nchi makabila ya Israeli ili yaimiliki.

8 In the mountains, and in the lowlands, and in the plain, and in the declivities, and in the wilderness, and in the south country: the Hittites, the Emorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

Aliwapa nchi ya milima, tambarare, Araba, sehemu za milima, nyika na Negevu, nchi ya Wahiti, Waamori, Wakanaani, Waperizi, Wahivi, na Wayebusi.

9 The king of Jericho, one; the king of 'Ai, which was beside Bethel one;

Wafalme hawa walikuwa ni mfalme wa Yeriko, mfalme wa Ai iliyo karibu na Betheli,

10 The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;

mfalme wa Yerusalemu, mfalme wa Enaimu,

11 The king of Yarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;

mfalme wa Yarmuthi, mfalme wa Lakishi,

12 The king of 'Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;

mfalme wa Egloni, mfalme wa Gezeri,

13 The king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;

mfalme wa Debiri, mfalme wa Gederi,

14 The king of Chormah, one; the king of 'Arad, one;

mfalme wa Horima, mfalme wa Aradi,

15 The king of Libnah, one; the king of 'Adullam, one;

mfalme wa Libna, mfalme wa Adula,

16 The king of Makkedah, one; the king of Beth'el, one;

mfalme wa Makeda, mfalme wa Betheli,

17 The king of Tappuach, one; the king of Chepher, one;

mfalme wa Tapua, mfalme wa Heferi,

18 The king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one;

mfalme wa Afeki, mfalme wa Lasharoni,

19 The king of Madon, one; the king of Chazor, one;

mfalme wa Madoni, mfalme wa Hazori,

20 The king of Shimron-meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;

mfalme wa Shimroni - Meroni, mfalme wa Akshafu.

21 The king of Ta'anach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;

mfalme wa Taanaki, mfalme wa Megido,

22 The king of Kedesh, one; the king of Yokne'am on Carmel, one;

mfalme wa Kedeshi, mfalme wa Jokineamu katika Karmeli,

23 The king of Dor in the district of Dor, one; the king of Goyim in Gilgal, one;

mfalme wa Dori katika Nafutali Dori, mfalme Goyimu katika Giligali, na

24 The king of Tirzah, one: in all thirty and one kings.

mfalme Tiriza. Hesabu ya wafalme ilikuwa ni thelathini na moja kwa ujumla wake.
