1 And these are the kings of the land whom the children of Israel smote, and whose land they took possession of on the other side of the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Chermon, and all the plain on the east:

Di sebelah timur sungai Yordan, ada dua raja yang dibunuh dan yang wilayahnya direbut oleh orang Israel. Wilayah mereka mulai dari Lembah Arnon di selatan sampai gunung Hermon di utara, termasuk lembah Yordan dan daerah di sebelah timurnya.

2 Sichon the king of the Emorites, who dwelt in Cheshbon, and ruled from 'Aro'er, which is upon the bank of the brook Arnon, and over the land in the middle of the brook, and from half Gil'ad, even unto the brook Yabbok, the boundary of the children of 'Ammon;

Yang satu adalah Raja Sihon dari bangsa Amori yang tinggal di kota Hesbon. Wilayah kekuasaannya termasuk kota Aroer di tepi sungai Arnon, dari tengah lembah Arnon sampai ke lembah Yabok, yang berbatasan dengan wilayah bangsa Amon. Daerah ini meliputi separuh dari daerah Gilead.

3 And over the plain up to the sea of Kinneroth on the east, and up to the sea of the plain, the salt sea on the east, on the way to Beth-hayeshimoth; and at the south, under the declivities of Pisgah;

Wilayahnya juga termasuk lembah Yordan dan daerah di sebelah timur lembah Yordan, mulai dari danau Galilea di utara sampai ke Laut Mati di selatan, termasuk jalur ke kota Bet Yesimot dan ke arah selatan sampai lereng gunung Pisga.

4 And the territory of 'Og the king of Bashan, who was of the remnant of the Rephaim, that dwelt at 'Ashtaroth and at Edre'i,

Yang satu lagi adalah Raja Og dari daerah Basan, salah satu keturunan terakhir orang raksasa Refaim, yang tinggal di kota Astarot dan kota Edrei.

5 And reigned over mount Chermon, and over Salchah, and over all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites, and half Gil'ad, [to] the boundary of Sichon the king of Cheshbon.

Wilayah kekuasaannya termasuk gunung Hermon, kota Salka, dan seluruh daerah Basan sampai ke perbatasan wilayah orang Gesur dan wilayah orang Maaka. Separuh daerah Gilead sampai perbatasan wilayah Raja Sihon dari Hesbon juga termasuk wilayah ini.

6 These did Moses the servant of the Lord and the children of Israel smite; and Moses the servant of the Lord gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh.

Musa, hamba TUHAN itu, bersama pasukan Israel mengalahkan mereka. Musa membagikan negeri itu menjadi milik suku Ruben, suku Gad, dan separuh suku Manasye.

7 And these are the kings of the country whom Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side of the Jordan on the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon as far as the bald mountain, that goeth up to Seir; and Joshua gave it unto the tribes of Israel for a possession, according to their divisions;

Inilah raja-raja yang dikalahkan oleh Yosua bersama pasukan Israel di sebelah barat sungai Yordan, mulai dari kota Baal Gad di lembah Libanon, sampai ke gunung Halak di pegunungan Seir. Yosua membagikan negeri itu kepada suku-suku Israel menjadi milik mereka,

8 In the mountains, and in the lowlands, and in the plain, and in the declivities, and in the wilderness, and in the south country: the Hittites, the Emorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

termasuk daerah pegunungan, kaki pegunungan di sebelah barat, lembah Yordan, lereng-lereng gunung dan padang belantara di sebelah timur, juga padang belantara Negeb di sebelah selatan. Daerah-daerah itu adalah bekas tempat tinggal bangsa Het, Amori, Kanaan, Feris, Hewi, dan Yebus. Ada tiga puluh satu raja yang berhasil dikalahkan oleh orang Israel:

9 The king of Jericho, one; the king of 'Ai, which was beside Bethel one;

10 The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;

raja kota Yerusalem raja kota Hebron

11 The king of Yarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;

raja kota Yarmut raja kota Lakhis

12 The king of 'Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;

raja kota Eglon raja kota Gezer

13 The king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;

raja kota Debir raja kota Geder

14 The king of Chormah, one; the king of 'Arad, one;

raja kota Horma raja kota Arad
