1 And these are the kings of the land whom the children of Israel smote, and whose land they took possession of on the other side of the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Chermon, and all the plain on the east:

Or, voici les rois du pays, que les enfants d'Israël battirent, et dont ils possédèrent le pays, au delà du Jourdain, vers le soleil levant, depuis le torrent de l'Arnon jusqu'à la montagne d'Hermon, et toute la plaine à l'Orient:

2 Sichon the king of the Emorites, who dwelt in Cheshbon, and ruled from 'Aro'er, which is upon the bank of the brook Arnon, and over the land in the middle of the brook, and from half Gil'ad, even unto the brook Yabbok, the boundary of the children of 'Ammon;

Sihon, roi des Amoréens, qui habitait à Hesbon. Il dominait depuis Aroër qui est au bord du torrent de l'Arnon et au milieu du torrent, et sur la moitié de Galaad, jusqu'au torrent de Jabbok, frontière des enfants d'Ammon;

3 And over the plain up to the sea of Kinneroth on the east, and up to the sea of the plain, the salt sea on the east, on the way to Beth-hayeshimoth; and at the south, under the declivities of Pisgah;

Sur la plaine jusqu'à la mer de Kinnéreth, vers l'orient, et jusqu'à la mer de la plaine, la mer Salée, à l'orient, dans la direction de Beth-Jeshimoth; et du côté du midi, sous les pentes du Pisga.

4 And the territory of 'Og the king of Bashan, who was of the remnant of the Rephaim, that dwelt at 'Ashtaroth and at Edre'i,

Et le territoire d'Og, roi de Bassan, un reste des Rephaïm, qui habitait à Ashtaroth et à Édréï:

5 And reigned over mount Chermon, and over Salchah, and over all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites, and half Gil'ad, [to] the boundary of Sichon the king of Cheshbon.

Il dominait sur la montagne d'Hermon, sur Salca, sur tout Bassan jusqu'à la frontière des Gueshuriens et des Maacathiens, et sur la moitié de Galaad, frontière de Sihon, roi de Hesbon.

6 These did Moses the servant of the Lord and the children of Israel smite; and Moses the servant of the Lord gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh.

Moïse, serviteur de l'Éternel, et les enfants d'Israël les battirent; et Moïse, serviteur de l'Éternel, en donna la possession aux Rubénites, aux Gadites, et à la demi-tribu de Manassé.

7 And these are the kings of the country whom Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side of the Jordan on the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon as far as the bald mountain, that goeth up to Seir; and Joshua gave it unto the tribes of Israel for a possession, according to their divisions;

Et voici les rois du pays, que Josué et les enfants d'Israël battirent de ce côté-ci du Jourdain, vers l'occident, depuis Baal-Gad, dans la vallée du Liban, jusqu'à la montagne nue qui monte vers Séir, et dont Josué donna le pays en possession aux tribus d'Israël, selon leurs divisions,

8 In the mountains, and in the lowlands, and in the plain, and in the declivities, and in the wilderness, and in the south country: the Hittites, the Emorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

Dans la montagne, dans la plaine, dans la campagne, sur les coteaux, dans le désert, et dans le midi, pays des Héthiens, des Amoréens, des Cananéens, des Phéréziens, des Héviens et des Jébusiens:

9 The king of Jericho, one; the king of 'Ai, which was beside Bethel one;

Le roi de Jérico, le roi d'Aï, qui était à côté de Béthel,

10 The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;

Le roi de Jérusalem, le roi de Hébron,

11 The king of Yarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;

Le roi de Jarmuth, le roi de Lakis,

12 The king of 'Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;

Le roi d'Églon, le roi de Guézer,

13 The king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;

Le roi de Débir, le roi de Guéder,

14 The king of Chormah, one; the king of 'Arad, one;

Le roi de Horma, le roi d'Arad,
