Jonah 2
1 Then prayed Jonah unto the Lord his God out of the belly of the fish.
௧அந்த மீனின் வயிற்றிலிருந்து, யோனா தன்னுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம்செய்து:
2 And he said, I called from the midst of my distress unto the Lord, and he hath answered me: out of the depth of the grave have I cried, and thou hast heard my voice. (Sheol h7585)
௨என் நெருக்கத்தில் நான் யெகோவாவை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டேன்; அவர் எனக்கு பதில் கொடுத்தார்; நான் பாதாளத்தின் வயிற்றிலிருந்து கூக்குரலிட்டேன், நீர் என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டீர். (Sheol h7585)
3 For thou hast cast me into the deep, in the heart of the seas; and the stream compasseth me about: all thy billows and thy waves have passed over me.
௩கடலின் நடுமையமாகிய ஆழத்திலே நீர் என்னைத் தள்ளிவிட்டீர்; நீரோட்டம் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டது; உம்முடைய வெள்ளங்களும் அலைகளும் எல்லாம் என்மேல் புரண்டது.
4 And I thought indeed, I am driven out from before thy eyes: yet I again shall look toward thy holy temple.
௪நான் உமது கண்களுக்கு எதிரே இல்லாதபடிக்குத் தள்ளப்பட்டேன்; ஆனாலும் இன்னமும் உம்முடைய பரிசுத்த ஆலயத்தை நோக்குவேன் என்றேன்.
5 The waters surrounded me, to the peril of my life; the deep compassed me about: sea-weeds were bound about my head.
௫தண்ணீர்கள் என்னுடைய ஜீவனை எடுக்க என்னை நெருக்கினது; ஆழங்கள் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்தது; கடற்பாசி என் தலையைச் சுற்றிக்கொண்டது.
6 To the bottoms of the mountains did I go down; the earth [closed] her bars about me for ever: when thou broughtest up my life from the pit, O Lord my God!
௬மலைகளின் அடிவாரங்கள்வரைக்கும் இறங்கினேன்; பூமியின் தாழ்ப்பாள்கள் என்றென்றைக்கும் என்னை அடைக்கிறதாக இருந்தது; ஆனாலும் என் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவே, நீர் என் உயிரை அழிவிலிருந்து காப்பாற்றினீர்.
7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came unto thee, unto thy holy temple.
௭என்னுடைய ஆத்துமா எனக்குள் சோர்ந்துபோகும்போது யெகோவாவை நினைத்தேன்; அப்பொழுது என் விண்ணப்பம் உமது பரிசுத்த ஆலயத்திலே உம்மிடத்தில் வந்து சேர்ந்தது.
8 They that guard false vanities forsake [the source of] their kindness.
௮பொய்யான விக்கிரக தெய்வங்களைப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்கள் தங்களுக்கு வரும் கிருபையைப் புறக்கணிக்கிறார்கள்.
9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; that which I have vowed will I pay; [for] help is with the Lord.
௯நானோ, துதியின் சத்தத்தோடு உமக்குப் பலியிடுவேன்; நான் செய்த பொருத்தனையைச் செலுத்துவேன்; இரட்சிப்பு யெகோவாவுடையது என்றான்.
10 And the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
௧0யெகோவா மீனுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார், அது யோனாவைக் கரையிலே கக்கிப்போட்டது.
