Job 40
1 And the Lord addressed Job, and said,
ख़ुदावन्द ने अय्यूब से यह भी कहा,
2 Will he that contendeth with the Almighty yet find fault? him that reproveth God answer this.
“क्या जो फु़जू़ल हुज्जत करता है वह क़ादिर — ए — मुतलक़ से झगड़ा करे? जो ख़ुदा से बहस करता है, वह इसका जवाब दे।”
3 Then answered Job the Lord, and said,
अय्यूब का जवाब तब अय्यूब ने ख़ुदावन्द को जवाब दिया,
4 Behold, I am too vile: what shall I answer thee? my hand do I place on my mouth.
“देख, मैं नाचीज़ हूँ! मैं तुझे क्या जवाब दूँ? मैं अपना हाथ अपने मुँह पर रखता हूँ।
5 Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will not repeat it again.
अब जवाब न दूँगा; एक बार मैं बोल चुका, बल्कि दो बार लेकिन अब आगे न बढ़ूँगा।”
6 Then answered the Lord unto Job out of the storm-wind, and said,
तब ख़ुदावन्द ने अय्यूब को बगोले में से जवाब दिया,
7 Do but gird up like a mighty man thy loins: I will ask thee, and do thou inform me.
मर्द की तरह अब अपनी कमर कस ले, मैं तुझ से सवाल करता हूँ और तू मुझे बता।
8 Wilt thou indeed annul my decree? wilt thou condemn me, in order that thou mayest appear righteous?
क्या तू मेरे इन्साफ़ को भी बातिल ठहराएगा?
9 But if thou hast an arm like God, or if thou canst thunder loudly like him:
क्या तू मुझे मुजरिम ठहराएगा ताकि ख़ुद रास्त ठहरे? या क्या तेरा बाज़ू ख़ुदा के जैसा है? और क्या तू उसकी तरह आवाज़ से गरज़ सकता है?
10 Then do deck thyself with excellence and greatness, and clothe thyself in majesty and glory.
'अब अपने को शान — ओ — शौकत से आरास्ता कर, और 'इज़्जत — ओ — जलाल से मुलब्बस हो जा।
11 Scatter abroad the ragings of thy wrath, and look on every proud one, and humble him.
अपने क़हर के सैलाबों को बहा दे, और हर मग़रूर को देख और ज़लील कर।
12 Look on every proud one, and bend him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.
हर मग़रूर को देख और उसे नीचा कर, और शरीरों को जहाँ खड़े हों पामाल कर दे।
13 Hide them in the dust altogether: bind up their faces in concealment.
उनको इकट्ठा मिट्टी में छिपा दे, और उस पोशीदा मक़ाम में उनके मुँह बाँध दे।
14 Then will I also myself praise thee, when thy own right hand hath helped thee.
तब मैं भी तेरे बारे में मान लूँगा, कि तेरा ही दहना हाथ तुझे बचा सकता है।
15 Only behold Behemoth, which I made near thee: grass he eateth like the ox.
'अब हिप्पो पोटीमस' को देख, जिसे मैंने तेरे साथ बनाया; वह बैल की तरह घास खाता है।
16 Only see, [how great] is his strength in his loins, and his force, in the muscles of his belly.
देख, उसकी ताक़त उसकी कमर में है, और उसका ज़ोर उसके पेट के पट्ठों में।
17 He stretcheth out his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his loins are closely wrapped together.
वह अपनी दुम को देवदार की तरह हिलाता है, उसकी रानों की नसे एक साथ पैवस्ता हैं।
18 His bones are like pipes of brass: his frame is like bars of iron.
उसकी हड्डियाँ पीतल के नलों की तरह हैं, उसके आ'ज़ा लोहे के बेन्डों की तरह हैं।
19 He is the first in rank of the works of God: he that made him can alone bring his sword near unto him.
वह ख़ुदा की ख़ास सन'अत' है; उसके ख़ालिक़ ही ने उसे तलवार बख़्शी है।
20 But truly the mountains bear for him his food, and all the beasts of the field play there.
यक़ीनन टीले उसके लिए ख़ूराक एक साथ पहुँचाते हैं जहाँ मैदान के सब जानवर खेलते कूदते हैं।
21 Under shady trees he lieth down, in the covert of the reeds, and swamp.
वह कंवल के दरख़्त के नीचे लेटता है, सरकंडों की आड़ और दलदल में।
22 Shady trees cover him as his shadow: willows of the brook encompass him about.
कंवल के दरख़्त उसे अपने साये के नीचे छिपा लेते हैं। नाले के बीदे उसे घेर लेतीं हैं।
23 Behold, a river sweepeth violently along, but he hasteneth not away: he remaineth quiet, though a Jordan rusheth up to his mouth.
देख, अगर दरिया में बाढ़ हो तो वह नहीं काँपता चाहे यरदन उसके मुँह तक चढ़ आये वह बे खौफ़ है।
24 Can one catch him before his eyes? pierce his nose by means of snares?—
जब वह होशियार हो, तो क्या कोई उसे पकड़ लेगा; या फंदा लगाकर उसकी नाक को छेदेगा?
