< Job 40 >

1 And the Lord addressed Job, and said,
Onyenwe anyị zara Job sị:
2 Will he that contendeth with the Almighty yet find fault? him that reproveth God answer this.
“Onye ahụ na-arụso Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile ụka ọ pụrụ ịdọ ya aka na ntị? Ka onye ahụ na-ebo Chineke ebubo zaghachi ya.”
3 Then answered Job the Lord, and said,
Mgbe ahụ, Job zaghachiri Onyenwe anyị sị:
4 Behold, I am too vile: what shall I answer thee? my hand do I place on my mouth.
“Abụ m onye na-erughị eru. Oleekwanụ ka m ga-esi zaghachi gị? Eji m aka m kpuchie ọnụ m.
5 Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will not repeat it again.
Ekwuola m mbụ, ma enweghị m ọsịsa ọzọ kwuokwa ugboro abụọ, ma agaghị m ekwukwa ọzọ.”
6 Then answered the Lord unto Job out of the storm-wind, and said,
Mgbe ahụ, Onyenwe anyị sitere nʼoke ifufe gwa Job okwu sị:
7 Do but gird up like a mighty man thy loins: I will ask thee, and do thou inform me.
“Kwadoo onwe gị dịka dimkpa; enwere m ajụjụ m ga-ajụ gị, achọkwara m ka i nye m ọsịsa.
8 Wilt thou indeed annul my decree? wilt thou condemn me, in order that thou mayest appear righteous?
“Ị ga-aga nʼihu ikwujọ ikpe ziri ezi m? Ị ga-aga nʼihu maa m ikpe ka ị si otu a bụrụ onye ikpe gaara?
9 But if thou hast an arm like God, or if thou canst thunder loudly like him:
Ogwe aka gị ọ dị ike dịka nke Chineke? Olu gị ọ pụrụ ịda ụda dịka nke ya?
10 Then do deck thyself with excellence and greatness, and clothe thyself in majesty and glory.
Were ebube na ịdị ukwuu chọọ onwe gị mma, yikwasịkwa onwe gị nsọpụrụ na ugwu dịka uwe.
11 Scatter abroad the ragings of thy wrath, and look on every proud one, and humble him.
Wụsa iwe gị dị ọkụ nʼebe ndị mpako niile nọ, weda ha nʼala,
12 Look on every proud one, and bend him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.
lekwasịkwa ndị mpako niile anya mee ha ihe ihere, ma tiriekwa ndị na-emebi iwu ebe ha guzo.
13 Hide them in the dust altogether: bind up their faces in concealment.
Likọta ha niile nʼotu nʼaja, kpuchie ihu ha niile nʼala ili.
14 Then will I also myself praise thee, when thy own right hand hath helped thee.
Mgbe ahụ, mụ onwe m ga-ekwenyere gị, na aka nri nwere ike ịzọpụta gị.
15 Only behold Behemoth, which I made near thee: grass he eateth like the ox.
“Lee enyi mmiri anya, bụ nke m kere dịka m si kee gị, ma ihe ọ na-eri bụ ahịhịa dịka ehi.
16 Only see, [how great] is his strength in his loins, and his force, in the muscles of his belly.
Lee ike dị nʼukwu ya, leekwa ike dị nʼime afọ ya.
17 He stretcheth out his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his loins are closely wrapped together.
Ọdụdụ ya ka ọ na-efegharị dịka osisi sida; akwara dị ya nʼahụ ka e jikọtara nke ọma.
18 His bones are like pipes of brass: his frame is like bars of iron.
Ọkpụkpụ ya niile dịka ogidi bronz nwere ụmị, ọkpụkpụ ụkwụ na aka ya dịka okporo igwe.
19 He is the first in rank of the works of God: he that made him can alone bring his sword near unto him.
Ya onwe ya bụ otu nʼime ọrụ aka mbụ nke Chineke, ma naanị onye kere ya nwere ike iji mma agha bịa ya nso.
20 But truly the mountains bear for him his food, and all the beasts of the field play there.
Ugwu na-enye ya ihe ọ na-eri. Nʼebe ahụ kwa ka ụmụ anụ ọhịa ndị ọzọ na-anọ egwuri egwu.
21 Under shady trees he lieth down, in the covert of the reeds, and swamp.
Ọ na-edina nʼokpuru ahịhịa na-eto nʼakụkụ mmiri, zookwa onwe ya nʼetiti ahịhịa riidi nʼapịtị.
22 Shady trees cover him as his shadow: willows of the brook encompass him about.
Ahịhịa lotus na-eji ndo ya kpuchie ya, osisi pọpla nke dị nʼakụkụ mmiri gbara ya gburugburu.
23 Behold, a river sweepeth violently along, but he hasteneth not away: he remaineth quiet, though a Jordan rusheth up to his mouth.
Ọ bụladị mgbe ebili mmiri na-ama, ọ dịghị atụ egwu; ọ na-anọ nwayọọ, nʼagbanyeghị na mmiri Jọdan na-asọpụta na-asọju ya nʼọnụ.
24 Can one catch him before his eyes? pierce his nose by means of snares?—
Onye pụrụ ijide ya mgbe ọ na-ele anya, maọbụ were ọnya jide ya mapuo ya imi?
