Job 37
1 At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved upward out of its place.
“मैं इस विचार से भी कांप उठता हूं. वस्तुतः मेरा हृदय उछल पड़ता है.
2 Hear, O hear, the rattling of his thunder, and the storm's roar that goeth out of his mouth.
परमेश्वर के उद्घोष के नाद तथा उनके मुख से निकली गड़गड़ाहट सुनिए.
3 Under the whole heavens he letteth it loose, and his lightning over the ends of the earth.
इसे वह संपूर्ण आकाश में प्रसारित कर देते हैं तथा बिजली को धरती की छोरों तक.
4 Behind it roareth the thunder; he thundereth with his majestic voice; and he holdeth them not back when his voice is heard.
तत्पश्चात गर्जनावत स्वर उद्भूत होता है; परमेश्वर का प्रतापमय स्वर, जब उनका यह स्वर प्रक्षेपित होता है, वह कुछ भी रख नहीं छोड़ते.
5 God thundereth with his marvelous voice: he doth great things, which we cannot comprehend.
विलक्षण ही होता है परमेश्वर का यह गरजना; उनके महाकार्य हमारी बुद्धि से परे होते हैं.
6 For to the snow he saith, Be thou on the earth: likewise the pouring rain, and to the pouring rains of his strength.
परमेश्वर हिम को आदेश देते हैं, ‘अब पृथ्वी पर बरस पड़ो,’ तथा मूसलाधार वृष्टि को, ‘प्रचंड रखना धारा को.’
7 He sealeth it on the hand of every man, that all men whom he hath made may know it.
परमेश्वर हर एक व्यक्ति के हाथ रोक देते हैं कि सभी मनुष्य हर एक कार्य के लिए श्रेय परमेश्वर को दे.
8 Then retire the beasts into [their] dens, and rest in their lairs.
तब वन्य पशु अपनी गुफाओं में आश्रय ले लेते हैं तथा वहीं छिपे रहते हैं.
9 Out of [his] chamber cometh the whirlwind, and out of the north, the cold.
प्रचंड वृष्टि दक्षिण दिशा से बढ़ती चली आती हैं तथा शीत लहर उत्तर दिशा से.
10 From the breathing of God ice is given, and the broad waters become solid.
हिम की रचना परमेश्वर के फूंक से होती है तथा व्यापक हो जाता है जल का बर्फ बनना.
11 Also with moisture he loadeth the cloud; [and] he scattereth the cloud of his lightning;
परमेश्वर ही घने मेघ को नमी से भर देते हैं; वे नमी के ज़रिए अपनी बिजली को बिखेर देते हैं.
12 And it is turned round about by his guidance, to execute what he commandeth it upon the face of the world, the earth.
वे सभी परमेश्वर ही के निर्देश पर अपनी दिशा परिवर्तित करते हैं कि वे समस्त मनुष्यों द्वारा बसाई पृथ्वी पर वही करें, जिसका आदेश उन्हें परमेश्वर से प्राप्त होता है.
13 Whether it be as a chastising rod—if this be destined for his earth—or for kindness, doth he cause it to come.
परमेश्वर अपनी सृष्टि, इस पृथ्वी के हित में इसके सुधार के निमित्त, अथवा अपने निर्जर प्रेम से प्रेरित हो इसे निष्पन्न करते हैं.
14 Give ear unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider well the wonders of God.
“अय्योब, कृपया यह सुनिए; परमेश्वर के विलक्षण कार्यों पर विचार कीजिए.
15 Dost thou know how God hath imposed [a law] on them, and [how] he hath caused the light of his cloud to shine?
क्या आपको मालूम है, कि परमेश्वर ने इन्हें स्थापित कैसे किया है, तथा वह कैसे मेघ में उस बिजली को चमकाते हैं?
16 Dost thou know aught about the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?
क्या आपको मालूम है कि बादल अधर में कैसे रहते हैं? यह सब उनके द्वारा निष्पादित अद्भुत कार्य हैं, जो अपने ज्ञान में परिपूर्ण हैं.
17 [Thou] who clothest thyself with warm garments, when He giveth the earth rest from the south wind?
जब धरती दक्षिण वायु प्रवाह के कारण निस्तब्ध हो जाती है आपके वस्त्रों में उष्णता हुआ करती है?
18 Hast thou with him spread out the skies, which are strong even as a molten mirror?
महोदय अय्योब, क्या आप परमेश्वर के साथ मिलकर, ढली हुई धातु के दर्पण-समान आकाश को विस्तीर्ण कर सकते हैं?
19 Let us know what we shall say unto him: we cannot set aught in order [before him] because of darkness.
“आप ही हमें बताइए, कि हमें परमेश्वर से क्या निवेदन करना होगा; हमारे अंधकार के कारण उनके सामने अपना पक्ष पेश करना हमारे लिए संभव नहीं!
20 Can [all] be related of him, when I speak [ever so much]? or if a man talk [of him] even till he be swallowed up [in death]?
क्या परमेश्वर को यह सूचना दे दी जाएगी, कि मैं उनसे बात करूं? कि कोई व्यक्ति अपने ही प्राणों की हानि की योजना करे?
21 Yet now men see not the light which is bright in the skies, when the wind hath passed along, and purified them.
इस समय यह सत्य है, कि मनुष्य के लिए यह संभव नहीं, कि वह प्रभावी सूर्य प्रकाश की ओर दृष्टि कर सके. क्योंकि वायु प्रवाह ने आकाश से मेघ हटा दिया है.
22 The golden [light] that cometh out of the north: around God is terrible majesty.
उत्तर दिशा से स्वर्णिम आभा का उदय हो रहा है; परमेश्वर के चारों ओर बड़ा तेज प्रकाश है.
23 The Almighty, whom we cannot find out, excellent in power, and in justice, and abounding in righteousness, will not afflict:
वह सर्वशक्तिमान, जिनकी उपस्थिति में प्रवेश दुर्गम है, वह सामर्थ्य में उन्नत हैं; यह हो ही नहीं सकता कि वह न्याय तथा अतिशय धार्मिकता का हनन करें.
24 Therefore do men fear him; he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
इसलिये आदर्श यही है, कि मनुष्य उनके प्रति श्रद्धा भाव रखें. परमेश्वर द्वारा वे सभी आदरणीय हैं, जिन्होंने स्वयं को बुद्धिमान समझ रखा है.”
