< Job 37 >
1 At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved upward out of its place.
Lè konsa, kè m' ap bat. M' santi l'ap rache.
2 Hear, O hear, the rattling of his thunder, and the storm's roar that goeth out of his mouth.
Nou tout, koute vwa Bondye! Koute jan l'ap gwonde!
3 Under the whole heavens he letteth it loose, and his lightning over the ends of the earth.
Zèklè a kouri nan tout syèl la. Li klere dènye bout latè.
4 Behind it roareth the thunder; he thundereth with his majestic voice; and he holdeth them not back when his voice is heard.
Apre sa, yo tande vwa li ap gwonde. Loraj la gwonde avèk fòs. Lè konsa, zèklè fè mikalaw.
5 God thundereth with his marvelous voice: he doth great things, which we cannot comprehend.
Lè Bondye ap pale konsa, li fè bèl bagay, bagay nou pa ka konprann.
6 For to the snow he saith, Be thou on the earth: likewise the pouring rain, and to the pouring rains of his strength.
Li bay lanèj lòd kouvri latè. Li bay gwo lapli lòd tonbe.
7 He sealeth it on the hand of every man, that all men whom he hath made may know it.
Li fè tout moun sispann travay. Li fè yo wè sa se travay pa l'.
8 Then retire the beasts into [their] dens, and rest in their lairs.
Tout bèt antre nan twou. Y' al kache kò yo nan nich.
9 Out of [his] chamber cometh the whirlwind, and out of the north, the cold.
Van tanpèt soti nan sid. Van frèt soti nan nò.
10 From the breathing of God ice is given, and the broad waters become solid.
Souf Bondye fè dlo tounen glas. Konsa, tout dlo tounen glas.
11 Also with moisture he loadeth the cloud; [and] he scattereth the cloud of his lightning;
Zèklè yo ap fè yan nan nwaj yo. Nwaj yo klere byen lwen.
12 And it is turned round about by his guidance, to execute what he commandeth it upon the face of the world, the earth.
Bondye fè yo vire nan syèl la jan li vle. Yo fè tou sa li ba yo lòd fè toupatou sou latè.
13 Whether it be as a chastising rod—if this be destined for his earth—or for kindness, doth he cause it to come.
Bondye voye lapli pou wouze latè. Li voye l' pou pini moun, li voye l' pou beni yo tou.
14 Give ear unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider well the wonders of God.
Louvri zòrèy ou, Jòb, pou ou tande sa m' pral di la a. Pran tèt ou, egzaminen bèl travay Bondye yo byen.
15 Dost thou know how God hath imposed [a law] on them, and [how] he hath caused the light of his cloud to shine?
Eske ou konnen ki jan Bondye ba yo lòd, ki jan li fè zèklè yo klere nan nwaj yo?
16 Dost thou know aught about the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?
Eske ou konnen ki jan nwaj yo fè flote nan syèl la? Sa se yon bèl bagay. Pou ou fè l' fòk ou gen anpil ladrès.
17 [Thou] who clothest thyself with warm garments, when He giveth the earth rest from the south wind?
Lè van cho ki soti nan sid la ap kwit tè a, ou santi rad sou ou ap boule tout kò ou.
18 Hast thou with him spread out the skies, which are strong even as a molten mirror?
Eske ou ka ede Bondye louvri nwaj yo nan syèl la, pou fè yo di tankou bout fè?
19 Let us know what we shall say unto him: we cannot set aught in order [before him] because of darkness.
Fè m' konnen sa pou nou di Bondye. Lespri nou vid. Nou pa gen anyen pou nou di l'.
20 Can [all] be related of him, when I speak [ever so much]? or if a man talk [of him] even till he be swallowed up [in death]?
Mwen pa mande pou m' pale ak Bondye. Poukisa pou m' ba li okazyon pou li touye m'?
21 Yet now men see not the light which is bright in the skies, when the wind hath passed along, and purified them.
Ou rete konsa ou pa wè solèy la. Li kache anba nwaj yo. Yon van leve, li fè solèy la klere ankò.
22 The golden [light] that cometh out of the north: around God is terrible majesty.
Yon bèl klète, klere kou lò, parèt sou bò nò. Nou wè Bondye kanpe nan mitan yon bèl limyè ki fè nou pè.
23 The Almighty, whom we cannot find out, excellent in power, and in justice, and abounding in righteousness, will not afflict:
Nou pa ka pwoche bò kote Bondye ki gen tout pouvwa a. Li sèl gwo chèf, li sèl jij, li pa nan patipri. Li p'ap kondannen yon moun ki inonsan.
24 Therefore do men fear him; he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
Se poutèt sa, tout moun fèt pou gen krentif pou li. Li p'ap okipe moun ki pretann yo gen bon konprann.
