Job 36
1 Then continued Elihu, and said,
ইলীহূ আরও বললেন;
2 Wait for me a little, and I will instruct thee; for [I have] still some words on God's behalf.
“আপনি আমার প্রতি আরও একটু ধৈর্য ধরুন ও আমি আপনাকে দেখিয়ে দেব যে ঈশ্বরের হয়ে আরও অনেক কিছু বলার আছে।
3 I will lift up my knowledge for him who is afar, and for my Maker will I obtain righteousness.
আমি বহুদূর থেকে আমার জ্ঞান লাভ করেছি; আমি আমার সৃষ্টিকর্তার উপরে ন্যায়পরায়ণতা আরোপ করব।
4 For truly no falsehood is [in] my words: one that is upright in [his] opinions [dealeth now] with thee.
নিশ্চিত হতে পারেন যে আমার কথা মিথ্যা নয়; নিখুঁত জ্ঞানবিশিষ্ট একজন আপনার সহবর্তী।
5 Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength of intellect.
“ঈশ্বর পরাক্রমী, কিন্তু তিনি কাউকে অবজ্ঞা করেন না; তিনি পরাক্রমী, ও তাঁর অভীষ্টে অটল।
6 He permitteth not the wicked to live; but he procureth justice for the afflicted.
তিনি দুষ্টদের বাঁচিয়ে রাখেন না কিন্তু নিপীড়িতদের তাদের অধিকার দান করেন।
7 He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous; but [he placeth them] with kings on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.
তিনি ধার্মিকদের উপর থেকে তাঁর দৃষ্টি সরিয়ে নেন না; রাজাদের সঙ্গে তিনি তাদের সিংহাসনে বসান ও চিরকাল তাদের মহিমান্বিত করেন।
8 And if they be bound in fetters, and if they be entangled in the cords of affliction:
কিন্তু লোকেরা যদি শিকলে বাঁধা পড়ে, দুঃখের দড়ি দিয়ে তাদের কষে বাঁধা হয়,
9 Then doth he tell them of their work, and of their transgressions, when they had become strong.
ঈশ্বর তখন তাদের বলে দেন যে তারা কী করেছে— যে তারা অহংকারভরে পাপ করেছে।
10 And he openeth thus their ear to correction, and saith that they should return from wrong-doing.
তিনি তাদের সংশোধনমূলক কথা শুনতে বাধ্য করেন ও তাদের দুষ্টতার বিষয়ে তাদের মন ফিরানোর আদেশ দেন।
11 If they hearken and serve [him], they will spend their days in happiness, and their years in pleasures.
তারা যদি তাঁর বাধ্য হয়ে তাঁর সেবা করে, তবে তারা তাদের জীবনের বাকি দিনগুলি সমৃদ্ধিতে ও তাদের বছরগুলি সন্তোষযুক্ত হয়ে কাটাবে।
12 But if they hearken not, they will pass away through the sword, and they will perish in want of knowledge.
কিন্তু যদি তারা তাঁর কথা না শোনে, তবে তারা তরোয়ালের আঘাতে ধ্বংস হবে ও জ্ঞানের অভাবে মারা যাবে।
13 But the hypocrites in heart persevere in wrath; they will not offer entreaty when he bindeth them:
“অধার্মিকেরা অন্তরে অসন্তোষ পুষে রাখে; এমনকি যখন তিনি তাদের শিকলে বাঁধেন, তখনও তারা সাহায্যের আশায় আর্তনাদ করে না।
14 Their soul will die in youth, and their life, among the incestuous.
যৌবনকালেই তারা মারা যায় মন্দিরের দেবদাসদের মধ্যেই তাদের মৃত্যু হয়।
15 He delivereth the afflicted through his affliction, and openeth through oppression his ear.
কিন্তু যারা কষ্টভোগ করে, কষ্ট চলাকালীনই তিনি তাদের উদ্ধার করেন; তাদের দুঃখের মধ্যেই তিনি তাদের সাথে কথা বলেন।
16 And also thee hath he incited away from the jaws of distress into a wide space, on the site of which there is no straitness; and what is set on thy table is full of fatness.
“ঈশ্বর আপনাকে যন্ত্রণার মুখ থেকে বের করে বিধিনিষেধ-মুক্ত এক প্রশস্ত স্থানে, পছন্দসই খাদ্যদ্রব্যে সুসজ্জিত আপনার টেবিলের স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যময় পরিবেশে এনেছেন।
17 But if thou art full of the judgment of the wicked: [divine] judgment and decree will support each other.
কিন্তু এখন আপনি দুষ্টদের উপযুক্ত বিচারে বিচারিত হতে যাচ্ছেন; বিচার ও ন্যায় আপনাকে ধরে ফেলেছে।
18 For there would be fury, If aught were to incite thee to utter an abundance [of rebellious words]; and the greatness of the infliction must not mislead thee.
সাবধান, কেউ যেন ধন দ্বারা আপনাকে প্রলুব্ধ করতে না পারে; বিপুল পরিমাণ ঘুস যেন আপনাকে বিপথগামী করে না তোলে।
19 Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold ore, nor all the highest forces of strength.
আপনার ধনসম্পদ বা আপনার সব মহৎ প্রচেষ্টাও কি আপনাকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখতে পারবে, যেন আপনি যন্ত্রণাভোগ না করেন?
20 Desire then not eagerly the night, when nations pass away in their place.
সেরাতের জন্য অপেক্ষা করবেন না, যখন লোকজনকে তাদের ঘর থেকে টেনে বের করা হয়।
21 Take heed, turn not thyself to wrong-doing, so that thou wouldst choose this because of [thy] affliction.
সাবধান, অনিষ্টের দিকে ফিরে যাবেন না, আপনি তো দুঃখের পরিবর্তে সেটিকেই মনোনীত করেছেন।
22 Behold, God is exalted by his power: who is an instructer like him?
“ঈশ্বর তাঁর পরাক্রমে উন্নত। তাঁর মতো শিক্ষক আর কে আছে?
23 Who hath given him a charge concerning his way? or who hath ever said, Thou hast acted unjustly?
কে তাঁর গন্তব্যপথ নিরূপিত করেছে, বা তাঁকে বলেছে, ‘তুমি অন্যায় করেছ’?
24 Reflect, that thou shouldst magnify his work, which [other] men have beheld.
মনে রাখবেন, তাঁর সেই কাজের উচ্চপ্রশংসা করতে হবে, যাঁর প্রশংসা লোকেরা গানের মাধ্যমে করেছিল।
25 All men have looked at it [with astonishment]; the mortal gazeth at it from afar.
সমগ্র মানবজাতি তা দেখেছে; নশ্বর মানুষও দূর থেকে সেদিকে স্থিরদৃষ্টিতে তাকিয়ে থেকেছে।
26 Behold, God is great, and we comprehend him not, the number of his years can truly not be searched out.
ঈশ্বর কত মহান—আমাদের বোধশক্তির ঊর্ধ্বে! তাঁর বছর-সংখ্যার খোঁজ পাওয়া যায় না।
27 For he taketh away drops of water, which are purified into rain in his mist:
“তিনি জলবিন্দু টেনে নেন, ও তা বৃষ্টিরূপে পরিশুদ্ধ করে জলধারায় ফিরিয়ে দেন;
28 These drop down out of the skies; they distil upon the multitude of men.
মেঘরাশি তাদের আর্দ্রতা ঢেলে দেয় ও প্রচুর বৃষ্টি মানবজাতির উপরে বর্ষিত হয়।
29 But [what man] can understand the outspreadings of the clouds? the tumult of his tabernacle?
কে বুঝতে পারে কীভাবে তিনি মেঘরাশি ছড়িয়ে দেন, কীভাবে তিনি তাঁর শামিয়ানা থেকে বজ্রধ্বনি করেন?
30 Behold, he spreadeth out over it his light, and covereth up the roots of the sea.
দেখুন কীভাবে তিনি তাঁর চারপাশে বিজলি নিক্ষেপ করেন, সমুদ্রগর্ভকে স্নান করান।
31 For by means of them he judgeth nations, he giveth food in superfluity.
এভাবেই তিনি জাতিদের নিয়ন্ত্রণ করেন ও প্রচুর পরিমাণে খাদ্যদ্রব্য জোগান।
32 [His] hands he covereth with light; and he commandeth it to strike the one who striveth against him.
তাঁর হাত তিনি বিজলিতে পরিপূর্ণ করেন ও তাকে লক্ষ্যে আঘাত হানার আদেশ দেন।
33 The noise of his storm telleth of it, yea, the cattle also, of the rising tempest.
তাঁর বজ্রধ্বনি আসন্ন ঝড়ের সংকেত দেয়; এমনকি পশুপালও সেটির আগমনবার্তা দেয়।
