Job 28
1 For truly there is a source for the silver, and a place for the gold which men refine.
Наистина има рудница за сребро, И място, гдето злато се плави.
2 Iron is taken out of the dust, and the stone is melted into copper.
Желязото се взема из земята, И медта се лее от камъка.
3 An end doth he set to darkness, and the very utmost limit doth he search out, the stones of darkness, and of the shadow of death.
Човекът туря край на тъмнината, И издирва до най-далечните места, Камъните в тъмнината и в мрачната сянка.
4 He breaketh a channel far from the inhabited place; those of unsteady foot, the poorest of men move [there about].
Далеч то човешко жилище, гдето нозе не стъпват, Той си отваря рудница; Окачени далеч от човеците рудничарите се люлеят.
5 The earth, out of which cometh forth bread, is under its surface turned up as it were with fire.
Колкото за земята, от нея произлиза хлябът? И под нея се разравя като че ли с огън.
6 Her stones are the place whence the sapphire cometh; and golden dust is also there;
Камъните и са място на сапфир, И златна пръст има в нея.
7 [On the] path which no bird of prey knoweth, and which the vulture's eye hath not surveyed;
Хищна птица не знае тоя път И окото на сокол не го е видяло.
8 [Which] ravenous beasts have never trodden, over which the lion hath never passed.
Горделивите зверове не са стъпвали по него; Лъв не е заминавал през него.
9 To the flinty rock he stretcheth forth his hand; he overturneth the mountains from the root.
Човекът простира ръката си върху канарите, Превръща планините из корен.
10 Amid rocks he heweth out canals: and every precious thing doth his eye behold.
Разсича проломи между скалите; И окото му открива всичко що е скъпоценно
11 The various droppings of water he uniteth into streams, and what is hidden he bringeth forth to light.
И ограничава капането на водите; И скритото изважда на бял свят.
12 But wisdom—where shall she he found? and where is the place of understanding?
Но мъдростта, где ще се намери? И где е мястото на разума?
13 Man knoweth not her value: and she is not to be found in the land of the living.
Човекът не познава цената й; И тя не се намира в земята на живите,
14 The deep saith, Not in me is she: and the sea saith, She is not with me.
Бездната казва: Не е у мене. И морето казва: Не е у мене.
15 No fine gold can be given in lieu of her, and silver cannot be weighed out as her price.
Не може да се придобие със злато; И сребро не може да се претегли в замяна с нея.
16 She cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
Не може да се оцени с офирско злато, Със скъпоценен оникс и сапфир.
17 She cannot be estimated after gold and glass; and not in exchange for her [can] vessels of refined gold [be taken.]
Злато и кристал не могат се сравни с нея, Нито може да се размени с вещи от на-чисто злато.
18 Coral and crystal will not be thought of; and the value of wisdom is above pearls.
Не ще се спомене корал или кристал за покупката й. Защото цената на мъдростта е по-висока от скъпоценните камъни.
19 She cannot be estimated after the topaz of Ethiopia, nor can she be valued with pure gold.
Топаз етиопски не ще се сравни с нея; Не ще се оцени тя с чисто злато.
20 But wisdom—whence cometh she? and where is the place of understanding?
От, где прочее, дохожда мъдростта? И где е мястото на разума?
21 Yea, she is hidden from the eyes of all living, and from the fowls of the heavens is she concealed.
Понеже е скрита от очите на всичките живи, И утаена от въздушните птици.
22 Perdition and death say, With our ears have we heard a report of her.
Гибелта и смъртта казват: С ушите си чухме слух за нея.
23 God [alone] understandeth her way, and he knoweth her place;
Бог разбира пътя й, И Той знае мястото й;
24 For he looketh to the ends of the earth, [whatever is] under the whole heaven doth he see.
Понеже Той гледа до земните краища, И вижда под цялото небе,
25 When he imparted weight unto the wind; and [when] the waters he established by measure;
За да претегля тежината на ветровете, И да измерва водите с мярка.
26 When he made a law for the rain, and a way for the lightning of [his] thunders;
Когато направи закон за дъжда, И път за светкавицата на гръма,
27 Then did he see her, and make her known; he established her, and also searched her out.
Тогава Той я видя и изяви; Утвърди я, да! И я изследва;
28 And he said unto man, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to eschew evil is understanding.
И каза на човека: Ето, Страх от Господа, туй е мъдрост, И отдалечаване от злото, това е разум.
