Job 22
1 Then answered Eliphaz the Themanite, and said,
तब एलीपज तेमानीले जवाफ दिए र यसो भने,
2 Can a man be serviceable unto God? Truly the intelligent is serviceable unto himself.
“के मानिस परमेश्वरको लागि उपयोगी हुन सक्छ र? के बुद्धिमान् मानिस उहाँको लागि उपयोगी हुन सक्छ र?
3 Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that thou art righteous? or is it any gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect?
तपाईं धर्मी हुनुहुन्छ भने, सर्वशक्तिमान्लाई के आनन्द मिल्छ र? तपाईंले आफ्ना मार्गहरू दोषरहित बनाउनुहुन्छ भने, त्यो उहाँको लाभ हो र?
4 Is it out of fear of thee that he will reproach thee? or go with thee into judgment?
तपाईंले उहाँको आदर गरेको हुनाले, उहाँले तपाईंलाई हप्काउनुहुन्छ अनि तपाईंलाई इन्साफमा लानुहुन्छ र?
5 Is not thy evil great? and no end to thy iniquities?
के तपाईंको दुष्टता विशाल छैन र? के तपाईंको अधर्मको असीमित छैन र?
6 For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brothers for nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing.
किनकि विनाकारण तपाईंले आफ्नो भाइबाट ऋणको जमानत माग्नुभएको छ, अनि तपाईंले दरिद्रहरूको सबै लुगा खोसेर तिनीहरूलाई नाङ्गो पार्नुभएको छ ।
7 Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and from the hungry thou hast withholden bread.
थाकेका मानिसहरूलाई तपाईंले पानी पिउन दिनुभएको छैन । भोकाएका मानिसहरूले रोटी पाउन तपाईंले रोक्नुभएको छ ।
8 But as for the man of a strong arm, he obtained the land, and the highly honored could dwell therein.
तपाईं, शक्तिशाली मानिससित जग्गाजमिन भए पनि, तपाईं, इज्जतदार मानिस त्यसमा बसोबास गर्नुभए पनि,
9 Widows hast thou sent away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.
तपाईंले विधवाहरूलाई रित्तो हात पठाउनुभएको छ । अनाथहरूका पाखुरा भाँचिएका छन् ।
10 Therefore are snares round about thee, and sudden dread terrifieth thee.
त्यसकारण पासोहरू तपाईंको चारैतिर छन्, र एक्कासि आउने डरले तपाईंलाई कष्ट दिन्छ ।
11 Or seest thou not the darkness? and the abundance of water which covereth thee?
अन्धकार हुन्छ जसले गर्दा तपाईंले देख्न सक्नुहुन्न । पानीको भलले तपाईंलाई डुबाउँछ ।
12 Is not God in the height of heaven? and beholding the highest elevation of the stars, however high they are?
के परमेश्वर स्वर्गको उच्चमा हुनुहुन्न र? आकाशका ताराहरूको उच्चता हेर्नुहोस्, ती कति उच्चमा छन्!
13 But thou sayest, “What doth God know? can he judge behind the darkness?
तपाईं भन्नुहुन्छ, 'परमेश्वरलाई के थाहा छ? के उहाँले निस्पट्ट अन्धकारमा न्याय गर्न सक्नहुन्छ र?
14 Thick clouds are a covering for him, so that he will not see; and he walketh along on the circle of heaven.”
उहाँले हामीलाई देख्न नसकून् भनेर बाक्ला बादलहरूले उहाँलाई घेरेका छन् । उहाँ आकाशको चक्रमा हिंड्नुहुन्छ ।'
15 Wilt thou [thus] observe the path of ancient times which the men of injustice have trodden?
दुष्ट मानिसहरू हिंडेका पुरानै मार्गमा, तपाईं पनि हिंड्नुहुन्छ र—
16 Who were shrivelled up before their time, whose foundation was flooded away like a river;
तिनीहरूको समय हुनुअगि नै तिनीहरूको जीवन लिइयो, तिनीहरूका जगहरू नदीले झैं बगाएर लगेको छ,
17 Who said unto God, “'Depart from us:” and what wrought the Almighty for them?
जसले परमेश्वरलाई यसो भने, 'हामीबाट जानुहोस्, ' जसले यसो भने, 'सर्वशक्तिमान्ले हामीलाई के गर्न सक्नुहुन्छ र?'
18 And yet it was he that filled their houses with good things; but the counsel of the wicked be [still] far from me.
तापनि उहाँले तिनीहरूका घरहरू असल कुराहरूले भर्नुभयो । दुष्ट मानिसहरूका योजनाहरू मबाटै धेरै टाढा छन् ।
19 The righteous will see it, and be glad; and the innocent will laugh them to scorn.
धर्मी मानिसहरूले तिनीहरूको सुदिन देख्छन्, र खुसी हुन्छन् । निर्दोष मानिसहरूले हाँसेर तिनीहरूको उपहास गर्छन् ।
20 “Is not he destroyed that rose up against us, and hath not the fire consumed what they had left?”
तिनीहरू भन्छन्, 'निश्चय नै हाम्रो विरुद्धमा उठ्नेहरू त्यागिएका छन् । आगोले तिनीहरूको धन-सम्पत्ति भस्म पारेको छ ।'
21 Do but become acquainted with him, and be at peace: thereby will happiness come unto thee.
अब परमेश्वरसित सहमत हुनुहोस्, र मिलाप गर्नुहोस् । त्यसरी तपाईंकहाँ भलाइ आउनेछ ।
22 Do but accept instruction from his mouth, and lay up his saying in thy heart.
म तपाईंलाई बिन्ती गर्छु, उहाँको निर्देशनको वचन ग्रहण गर्नुहोस् । उहाँका वचनहरू आफ्नो हृदयमा जम्मा गर्नुहोस् ।
23 If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, so thou wilt but remove wrong-doing far away from thy tents.
तपाईं सर्वशक्तिमान्कहाँ फर्कनुहुन्छ भने, अधार्मिकतालाई तपाईंले आफ्ना पालहरूबाट धेरै टाढा राख्नुहुन्छ भने, तपाईंको निर्माण हुनेछ ।
24 And throw down in the dust precious metals, and [the gold of] Ophir to the stones of the brooks:
आफ्नो खजाना भुइँको धूलोमा, ओपीरको सुनलाई खोलाका ढुङ्गाहरूका बिचमा फाल्नुहोस्,
25 Then will the Almighty be thy precious metal, and brightly-shining silver unto thee.
अनि सर्वशक्तिमान् तपाईंको खजाना, तपाईंको बहुमूल्य चाँदी बन्नुहुनेछ ।
26 For then wilt thou have in the Almighty thy delight, and thou canst lift up unto God thy face.
किनकि त्यसपछि तपाईं सर्वशक्तिमान्मा रमाउनुहुनेछ । तपाईंले आफ्नो अनुहार परमेश्वरमा उचाल्नुहुनेछ ।
27 Thou wilt make entreaty unto him, and he will hear thee, and thy vows wilt thou pay.
तपाईंले आफ्नो प्रार्थना उहाँमा नै चढाउनुहुनेछ, अनि उहाँले तपाईंको बिन्ती सुन्नुहुनेछ । तपाईंले उहाँमा आफ्नो भाकल पुरा गर्नुहुनेछ ।
28 And if thou decree a thing, it will be fulfilled unto thee; and upon thy ways the light will shine.
तपाईंले कुनै पनि आदेश दिनुहुनेछ, र तपाईंको निम्ति त्यो कुरो पुरा हुनेछ । तपाईंका मार्गहरूमा ज्योति चम्कनेछ ।
29 For when men are brought low, thou wilt say, Pride [hath done it]; but those of lowly eyes [God] will help.
परमेश्वरले घमण्डी मानिसलाई निम्न स्तरमा झर्नुहुन्छ, र निराश भएकाहरूलाई उहाँले बचाउनुहुन्छ ।
30 He will even deliver him who is not guiltless: and thou wilt be delivered by the purity of thy hands.
जो निर्दोष छैन त्यो मानिसलाई पनि उहाँले छुटकारा दिनुहुन्छ । तपाईंका हातको शुद्धताले गर्दा तिनीहरूले छुटकारा पाउनेछन् ।”
